  1. The one he lost was a blind side sack strip. It happens to everyone. Mario did it to Ben in the same game. Not a whole lot you can do when a guy you don't see coming smacks the ball while you're holding it in one hand trying to get a pass off.
  2. Breida didn't start over Moss for his Special Teams. I'm guessing McDermott wanted to try some speed in the backfield. But speed does little good at RB without shiftiness or the ability to break tackles. As for Jones, he was the lead blocker on McKenzie's 75 yard return and played gunner. Our deficiencies on Special Teams wasn't in that department. Like it or not, McDermott from Day One has always had a RB dressed for Special Teams. He doesn't believe in using 3 people toting the rock at the same time. This week he went with Singletary and Breida. Hopefully in the future he'll choose Moss instead.
  3. Nick Wright disliking Josh Allen and the Bills by proxy is a gimmick. He knows everytime he does it, he'll get a bunch of views, Twitter responses, and exposure from PO'ed Bills fans. Don't play the game.
  4. We didn't have John Brown most of last season. And when we did, we still didn't have his speed because he was never 100% for us. So don't look at it like John Brown v. Emmanuel Sanders. Look at it as last year's WR core + Emmanuel Sanders.
  5. He had multiple offers and chose the Jaguars? Were all the other options Practice Squad spots? 😆
  6. Agree with them or not, McDermott and Beane have said for months they're very comfortable with Tre, Levi, and Dane on the outside with Taron and Neal at the Nickel. Their actions (or lack thereof) in Free Agency and the Draft (passing on Melifonwu in Rounds 2 and 3) proved that. We generally only keep 5 CB's and I don't see anyone out there right now that I'd cut someone on our depth chart for. Even if there were, they'd be behind the 8 ball trying to learn the playbook and build chemistry midseason. We won't be bringing anyone else in. And I'm not as concerned about it as many of you are. Our CB situation wasn't awful last year. And we've brought back everyone that was here, even on the Practice Squad. The only difference is Dane Jackson promoted from the Practice Squad to replace Josh Norman and Rachad Wildgoose taking Dane's place there. Everybody take a deep breath over the Corner situation. We're in a better spot than many teams in the league. Especially when you consider Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer round out the Secondary.
  7. Considering all three posts were posted the same minute, it wasn't a purposeful "pile on". Just a matter of a number of members posting the same thing at the same time.
  8. Why not both? I doubt anyone's signing either of these guys to their 53.
  9. He was deemed an important enough member of the squad that he wasn't risked to injury by playing more than a half of the last Preseason game. Whether anyone agrees with that or not, that's how McDermott and Beane saw it.
  10. These are just custom made helmets by TSE Buffalo for autograph signings. They aren't anything that anyone connected to the Bills or the NFL are doing. Just a piece of independently made merchandise.
  11. I know nobody wants to hear it - but I wouldn't be the least bit shocked to see him get an injury settlement and that be the end of it. IR'ed for the year when he's already exempt through the pathway program and won't be next season? I kind of expect it.
  12. No, but they can reach an injury settlement. Which is pretty likely, in my opinion, as he's done this year and likely won't be exempt for a 4th season. Also if he was already exempt, why put him on the IR for the year unless they planned on coming to a settlement and being done with it?
  13. It has been and as I've said, I don't see it. Beane and McDermott have said time and again when it's brought up that they are very comfortable with their Corner's. And if you look at it, it's the same squad of 5 they had last season. Just with Dane Jackson in place of Josh Norman. If they were going to make a move, they'd have done it by now. Anyone brought in now would have to get up to speed with the Defense with the season ongoing. We're rolling with who we got on the 53 with Cam Lewis and Rachad Wildgoose on the Practice Squad, most likely.
  14. I don't think that's something they're interested in. If they were, they'd have done it by now. Fact is, we have the same CB's we had last season. The only difference being Dane Jackson takes the place of Josh Norman. I'm assuming Cam Lewis returns to the Practice Squad and Rachad Wildgoose takes Dane Jackson's place there this year. They seem to be a lot more comfortable and confident in their core there than people realize.
  15. I don't think Gunner, myself, or anyone else thinks that Taiwan is a superstar player. We just saw, quite clearly, that there were a large number of factors pointing to him being very safe. If not, a lock. So when very vocal members would build a case against these obvious factors - it created a back and forth stalemate with both sides convinced their reasoning was correct and refusing to back down. And now... it's over.
  16. That's why they kept 7 instead of the regular 6. Even still, he didn't deserve it over Jake Kumerow or Marquez Stevenson. They clearly outperformed him on top of being able to stay healthy. That said, he may still come back to the Practice Squad.
  17. IR'ed for the year when he already had an exemption through the pathway program, of which I doubt they'll extend for ANOTHER season of exemptions, has me wondering if this is the end of the line for him with a settlement coming.
  18. That's the same number of CB's we had last season. Only change is Dane Jackson moves from the Practice Squad to take over Josh Norman's spot. He and Cam Lewis only ever came up if there were injuries last season.
  19. Guy turns 31 in a couple weeks. Was released by Detroit in March 1 year into a 2 year deal and 5 months later is released by Chicago before the start of the season. I don't pretend to be an expert on him last year or this offseason, but that pretty much tells me all I need to know. Especially since he'd be behind the 8 ball coming into our facility midseason and having to learn the defense. At best, he'd be a Practice Squad guy that maybe we could put in later in the season after he's up to speed or if there's injuries.
  20. With Harrison Phillips injury, I figured he'd at least be on the roster while they moved him to IR - if not beaten him outright.
