  1. He got injured after being tackled downfield on a scramble. Not excusing poor Line play but his injury had nothing to do with the Line. And if you're implying he shouldn't be running, that skill is a huge part of the reason he got paid a quarter billion. So.... 🤷
  2. Titans are lower on the waiver priority than Buffalo so they never put in a claim. Not surprising. This isn't the regime to claim people released for disciplinary reasons whether they'd improve the team or not.
  3. Absolutely. Do I see them doing it? No. Something about the process involves McDermott not playing with the lineup regardless of how bad they're playing. Especially when it comes to Devin Singletary. Past couple weeks I've been watching Devonta Freeman and he looks light years ahead of Singletary. Makes me wonder what would have happened if we would have used him in the Playoffs last year. Maybe we'd still have him instead of him tearing it up for Baltimore right now.
  4. Stop trying to jam a square peg into a round hole. Even if the coaching were better, we do not have the personnel on the Line or in the Backfield to be anything more than middle of the pack. Jeremy White put out a tweet today that I agree with: Put Diggs, Sanders, Beasley, and Davis out there with Knox and cut them loose out of the Shotgun. Mix in the occasional tailback run and Josh scramble here and there. Stop trying to force the running game. We didn't have one last year either. Don't reinvent the wheel.
  5. And Running Back. And another Tight End. And a Linebacker. And Interior D-Line. He's got a lot of work to do with not a lot of cap space, not to mention a number of players we'll need to replace at other positions. Beane really screwed the pooch not making improvements this past offseason.
  6. Agreed. Agreed but that doesn't mean he's good either. Just the lesser of three evils.
  7. Stop pretending these are good RB's and it's all on the Offensive Line. If you're going to be small like Singletary, you need to be fast, strong, or shifty. He's not fast, not strong, and has average at best shiftiness and vision. Moss has power... and nothing else. We treat Singletary busting out one 17 yard run a game like other people treat 100+ yards and two TDs. We rushed the ball 19 times for 60 yards. Remove the one 17 yard scamper at the end of the game and it was 18 for 43. And it's not like last night was a mirage. Consistently over two seasons when we need the RB's to step up, they can't. Rhamondre Stevenson - forced NINE missed tackles on 24 carries. Bills RB's - forced ONE missed tackle on 19 carries. Could the run blocking be better? Sure. But if these were good Running Backs, they'd still be making more plays on their own then they are. We have bad blocking AND bad running backs. One doesn't completely negate the other. A Running Back that can make defenders miss or break tackles makes a Line look better just as opening up holes makes a Running Back look better. We have neither.
  8. We can't run the ball with our RB's. We haven't been able to for two seasons now. Moss and Singletary are not the answer. One has to be traded or released and one needs to be a change of pace guy. We need to try and get a difference maker in the Draft or FA this season. I don't want to hear again this offseason that they can take a step or "if the blocking is better". Singletary has average shiftiness, below average speed, below average power. Moss has below average shiftiness, below average speed, and decent power. When we need them to carry a game like today, they consistently can't. We celebrate a 17 yard run once a game like it's a home run TD or a 100 yard game. Meanwhile, every RB we play outclasses them. Week in and week out. This core just is nothing special. 19 rushes, 60 yards from our RB's on the day.
  9. Honestly, being released may be the least of his worries. Getting caught using a fake Vaccination Card is a felony and he could face jail time over it.
  10. Good thing we got them before they started getting healthy and hot and have put them down twice already.
  11. Ford? Yes. Ike? This season he's been better or at worst on par with Feliciano, imo. And that's not saying Boettger's been great, just to say Feliciano has been dreadful. Dawkins/Boettger/Morse/Williams/Brown is the ideal lineup. Moving Williams back inside and having Brown back outside will make all the difference. Feliciano and Boettger is apples to apples.
  12. Dion Dawkins mentioned Star discussing battling breathing issues with him while he was away from the team. Quite possible, if not likely, that he's still dealing with after effects even though he's no longer contagious and able to return. I agree, I'm starting to think he may not be ready to go and if he does - he won't be 100%
  13. Star still listed as a Limited participant today due to "Illness" with Spencer Brown not on the report at all concerns me. If he doesn't get a Full in tomorrow, he may be Questionable heading into the game and possibly still Out.
  14. I feel like, at least personally, being overly critical in victory isn't a matter of Dick Jauron-esque fan behavior or part of a pessimistic drought hangover. To me, it has everything to do with higher expectations. Wherein last season, I was completely thrilled with their performance and relished in their victories - this season is about not only staying on that level, but improving. So I'm constantly looking at things from a "is this good enough for an AFC Title or Super Bowl win?" perspective . So it makes me, even in victories, often hard on them. Taking steps backwards is unacceptable.
  15. I wouldn't be surprised to see him back here after the Giants inevitably end up releasing him from their 53.
  16. I'm guessing it was a typo and he meant to say 'hit in the face', as in the ball going through his hands.
  17. Fact is, John Brown was a one trick pony. Straight line speed. Never questioned Emmanuel Sanders replacing him for a second. Sanders is a complete receiver. Much better route runner. Light years ahead of Brown on contested catches and not afraid to run across the middle and get hit. With age and injuries, Brown's one skill has eroded to a point where it doesn't make up for his inadequacies in other facets of the game like it used to. Will always look at his couple years here fondly. But his time has passed.
  18. Just as I posted two posts above you, I doubt they do that and not bring in someone to at least take their spot on the Practice Squad. You don't want someone else to get hurt and then you're down 2 players on your roster and behind the 8 ball on getting someone prepared to play for this team.
  19. He's more of a Nickel Corner. Unless you're planning on moving Taron to the Outside on a number of plays, all you'd be doing is taking Taron off the field for Robey-Coleman. Not sure how that really helps. Also have been seeing a lot of people saying we'll just be bringing someone up from the Practice Squad. And of course we will. But someone will almost certainly be brought in to take that person's place on at least the Practice Squad. And rules being what they've been the past couple seasons, that can be anyone.
  20. Yeah, this regime has proven time and again that they prefer players with familiarity over overall talent. See: Hart, Bobby 😆
  21. A common statement in the wake of today's news on Tre'Davious White has been "I'm sure they'll bring someone in for depth". It's possible they stay pat with who they have. It's also possible they poach someone off another team's Practice Squad. But in the event they go the veteran FA route, I thought I'd take a look at what's out there. Below is a list compiled from NFLTradeRumors.co List of Top 100 Available Free Agents - along with their ranking on the list overall and their age: (https://nfltraderumors.co/top-50-2021-nfl-free-agents/) 9.) Quinton Dunbar, 29 21.) Daryl Worley, 26 22.) Gareon Conley, 26 27.) D.J. Hayden, 31 31.) Prince Amukamura, 32 52.) Blidi Wreh-Wilson, 31 56.) Dre Kirkpatrick, 31 72.) Akeem King, 29 78.) B.W. Webb, 31 Quinton Dunbar was brought in for a visit with the team in late September of this year. Daryl Worley was a member of the Bills from 11/3-12/9/20 before being poached from their Practice Squad by Las Vegas. So I'd imagine if we were to make a FA addition, one of them is the most likely move. Anyone have a preference from the list or an idea of someone on a team's Practice Squad?
  22. Misdirected hostility much? Like I said, I wasn't as worried about running it back as others were as I felt Wallace was underrated and Dane showed a lot of promise his Rookie season. But in losing White with very little depth behind him, when there were opportunities to improve the situation, at the very least in the Draft is now a very dubious decision and there's really no arguing it anymore.
  23. When Beane opted to run it back and not improve CB in the offseason, I was okay with it so long as everyone stayed healthy. Now we're in a situation where there's no one available in FA that can make a difference and we're past the trade deadline. Now his decision to sign no one as well as going 2 DE's and 2 OT's with his First 4 Picks and not choose a CB until the 7th (who isn't even in the building anymore) looks INCREDIBLY bad on him. Especially when you consider Basham and Doyle are non-factors.
  24. Singletary - 68% of snaps Breida - 32% of snaps This needs to change to at least 50/50. With as hot as he was in the 1st half, it was driving me insane seeing series after series in the 2nd half with Singletary. He wasn't bad last night. But I couldn't help but think that on the one big 10 yard run he had that Breida would have taken it to the house if he had that hole. I don't understand McDermott's undying loyalty to him and refusing to see anyone else as the lead back. Even in post game, when the media was asking him about Breida, he cut them off to say "I think BOTH backs were great today".
  25. He's unvaccinated and caught COVID - so it will be when he's 100% Could be next game or he could be gone all season. No way to know.
