  1. I've been saying it all offseason on posts around here, both Beane and McDermott have been transparent in saying on multiple occasions that we need speed. With that in mind, I've been convinced that we're going to draft someone who has a 4.41 40 or better. So I'm not surprised that we'd be interested in Moore. Much like others, I'd hope it wouldn't be at 25. Preferably, we'd trade down a few slots and pick up some more picks or trade up from 57 for him. In my mind the list of guys we're probably targeting are: Garrett Wilson, Jameson Williams, or Chris Olave in Round 1 (would have to move up for Wilson, definitely. Olave, maybe) Jahan Dotson, Skyy Moore, Christian Watson, Alec Pierce, or Calvin Austin III in Round 2 (will probably have to trade up from 57 for Dotson, Moore or Watson) Velus Moore, Bo Melton, Tyquan Thornton, or Danny Gray between Rounds 3 to 7.
  2. Beane: Good to see you Trevon, why don't you step over here. Have you ever seen the movie "Face Off"? *Dane Jackson strapped to a machine*
  3. Yes. I also think if there's a guy Beane really likes and fears he may not make it to 25, he'll move up.
  4. Metchie is really good value from a talent standpoint in Round 3. Kind of hard to pass that up. However, as I've stated in previous posts, this entire offseason both Beane and McDermott have preached needing speed on offense. Walker being a 4.38 guy helps out of the backfield. And while OJ Howard's 4.5 doesn't sound like much, for a man his size out of the TE position, that is fast. But I feel that they're looking for an added element of speed with the WR roster spot vacated by Emmanuel Sanders. So I'm not entirely convinced Metchie would be one of the guys we'd be looking at. Again though, the talent and the value would be tempting. I think in this scenario, we'd still look to add in further rounds. I'd have eyes on Velus Jones, Bo Melton, Tyquan Thornton, or Danny Gray as the Draft goes on. I don't get the feeling that they think much of Marquez Stevenson. As evidenced by them not using him at all last season, even when we needed speed and needed help with injuries. So Metchie could take Sanders roster spot and one of those guys could battle with Stevenson, the loser moving to the Practice Squad.
  5. Here are Max Borghi's Overall Prospect Rankings in the main Mock Draft Simulators: PFF - 221 The Draft Network - 299 NFL Mock Draft Database - 309 Pro Football Network - 398
  6. Reach of the century. And I thought George Pickens going at 22 over Jameson Williams, Jahan Dotson, and Christian McCaffrey was a wild pick. Geesh.
  7. Yes, but this isn't confirmation. Just speculation. Is it likely? Yes. But we don't know for sure. It's been reported as an extension, not a completely new deal.
  8. Could you provide a link? I've yet to hear anyone who has any info on what the contract looks like. Just fan speculation.
  9. I would wholeheartedly disagree that the Diggs extension was done now simply because they wanted cap space. It was done now because we want to keep him in the fold for years to come, keep him happy with all the other big deals that were handed out to WR's, and because he's wanted a new deal since the day we traded for him over two seasons ago. The signing has been billed as an "extension". Not a completely new deal. When we extended Josh, his contract stayed the same and the new numbers came in the extension. It's possible they reworked these two years, but it's not a given. Especially when you consider his number now isn't excessive in the grand scheme of top WR's.
  10. We don't know yet. We'll have to wait until his contract details are posted on Spotrac. People are assuming his cap number was changed for this season. But to me it's just as likely that his contract stays the same for the next two years and the new money is on the backend with a prorated signing bonus up front.
  11. James Cook is the RB I end up selecting for the Bills more than anyone. If we are able to land one of the top CB's in Round 1 and Breece Hall or Kenneth Walker III are available in Round 2 and the WR pickens are slim, I'll go that route. But it's more often than not James Cook in Round 3 and I'd be thrilled with that. My ideal Draft is: Round 1: Andrew Booth or Trent McDuffie Round 2: Christian Watson, Skyy Moore, Alec Pierce, or Calvin Austin III (in that order) Round 3: James Cook or Isaiah Spiller
  12. Matt Araiza is one of the top 3 options and getting votes? Holy crap. I like him and I'd be down for taking him. But i'm not taking a Punter in the 4th, let alone the 3rd. That's ridiculous. Especially when you consider that he's not a complete talent. He's got an elite leg, for sure. But it's not like he has that and has complete control over it and is known for regular coffin pins. He basically just booms it, touchbacks be damned. That's fine when we're pinned in our own red zone. But that's not happening often.
  13. Steven Nelson maybe. Jerry Hughes, no. I get the idea of wanting him to be on the team to see a Championship. But you have to think of it this way, it's a lot to ask for him to come back for literal pennies on the dollar. We're not going to pay much for the kind of role he'd have on this team. It's a lot to ask for him to go from being a Starter to a rotational guy seeing minimal snaps behind Miller and Rousseau. It's a lot to ask for him to come back and go from the Defensive Captain for the better part of a decade and unquestioned leader in the DE room to being a guy in the background to King Von. And that's another wrinkle of this. I think the Von move screamed a changing of the guard. They want Von to be the leader in that room. I don't think the team wants the shadow of Jerry Hughes looming over that. And it wouldn't shock me if Von wouldn't want that either.
  14. If Booth is on the board at 25, this will be the pick and I believe Beane is sprinting to the podium.
  15. CB Andrew Booth, Clemson WR Calvin Austin III, Kentucky
  16. Size isn't important. They're looking for an added element of speed and separation to our core for the replacement for the roster spot vacated by Emmanuel Sanders (Beasley already having been replaced by Jamison Crowder). Calvin Austin III is faster than Skyy Moore (4.32 v. 4.41), but Moore is considered the higher valued prospect. Moore should already be off the board by 69. If he isn't, Beane would probably be sprinting to the podium. It's also a very fair spot to take Austin (and many assume him to be gone as well). If neither are still there (and assuming Christian Watson, Alec Pierce, and Khalil Shakir are also gone) - then I'd look at who's on the board at the Offensive Line and try to secure a Velus Jones, Bo Melton, Tyquan Thornton, or Danny Gray in the coming rounds. I'd probably double up as well if Thornton or Gray is available later.
  17. I assumed Skyy Moore was already off the board. If he manages to make it to your next pick, that's a no brainer to me. I'm of the mind our first pick should be a CB, no later than Round 2. A speedy WR needs to be selected no later than Round 3. A RB no later than Round 4.
  18. What WR's are still on the board? Is Calvin Austin III or Alec Pierce available?
  19. I don't think Shenault fits what we're looking for as an addition to our WR core. Beane and McDermott have been preaching needing speed. So I'm looking at guys who run at least 4.41, preferably faster. Shenault is a 4.58 guy
  20. I like him and hope we take him. But I'm not taking him (or any Punter) higher than Round 5. Yes, he has a massive leg. The issue with him though is the following weaknesses, as listed on NFL.com: - Has relative disregard for touchbacks and coverage consideration. - Speedy operation allows less time for gunners to get downfield. - Needs better touch with nose-drop technique for coffin corners. So if we're punting inside our own 15 or 20, he's great. Otherwise, he's probably just booming it into the endzone.
  21. We met with Isaiah Spiller at the Combine and he's coming in for a Pre-Draft visit. I don't see as massive of a drop off from Hall and Walker to Spiller as many of you do. I know some that actually like Spiller more.
  22. He's one of my favorite WR fits for what Buffalo's looking for. There was a time when I was all in on him as our 2nd Round pick. When I do mock draft simulations, I always take him if he's on the board in Round 2. However, he reportedly has been flying up Draft Boards and could now be selected at the end of Round 1. I think 25 is too high for him. If there's a run at CB and WR where 5 CB's and 6 WR's are taken in Round 1 - maybe. But I think my strategy is CB Round 1 and then if he's on the board at the top of Round 2, try and trade up. Or if it does fall that way where 11 of the first 24 picks are CB's and WR's, I'd try and trade down for in an extra pick in Round 2 or 3 and maybe Watson is one of those top picks a little later than 25.
  23. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/2022-nfl-two-round-mock-draft-packers-double-dip-at-wide-receiver-eagles-take-three-on-defense/ Latest CBS Mock has the Bills taking Trent McDuffie at 25 and Breece Hall at 87. The 1st Stadium Wall Mock has the Bills taking Trent McDuffie at 25 and Kenneth Walker III at 87. I'm all for taking one of them in the Second Round after taking a CB. I'd be thrilled actually. But you absolutely do not take one before CB and you absolutely do not take one of them at 25. I will say it until I'm blue in the face and bang the table over it.
  24. Man, if we got Trent McDuffie in Round 1 and Kenneth Walker in Round 2 just standing pat at 25 and 57 - I would absolutely be doing backflips!
