Not a meme...but this is the first thing that popped in my head when I read about Peterman's QB rating

Its unbelievable to me that his teammates are getting in his contract business when he is only one play away from never playing again. I hope Bell strolls in in Week 10 looking like he spent the season eating Cheetos on the couch and cramps up his first play and goes on the "injured" list. Bell deserves to get paid a real contract with real guaranteed money. I am always on the players side in these kind of disputes.

Best concert I was ever at was in the early 90s at RIch. Faith No More, Metallica and Guns N Roses. Would LOVE to get a reprint of that poster.

So a guy who is a wizard at Pro Personnel takes a job as a college scout, for which he showed s shocking lack of aptitude as a GM. Weird. I don't understand why an NFL team would not hire this guy to be part of their Pro Personnel department. Unless Dougie didn't want to take a step back. Best of luck to Doug Whaley, but this doesn't sound like a great fit.
This is totally accurate. He should be someone's Director of Pro Personnel and he would do a fantastic job.

My biggest disagreement with the "analysis" is that he claims the playoff berth was detrimental. I disagree completely.
That berth got the 17 year playoff drought off the teams back. More importantly, the new staff won't be fielding questions about a playoff drought they had no part in creating. It bought them time to do the rebuild right. I just hope Allen proves to be the guy here.

I think you’re spot on, Dave.
Analytics is the dull future.
Excuse me as I barf.

JMHO, but I love reading deep dives inside the numbers and trying to figure out why things are happening. This applies to all sports I religiously follow (football, baseball, hockey). Lets take a deep dive into the numbers and then let the writer give me his/her opinion on it. I may not ultimately agree with the writer, but I really respect that type of analysis.

Ty SDS and everyone who make this board what it is. I moved to NYC from Buffalo in 2000 and shortly thereafter found this board. Been a great source of Bills discussions over the years.

Good. About damn time. I think Andre should be retired as well.

I mean...let him open a strip club as well and have the strippers give foot massages to customers while wearing lingerie before shifts. He would make a million bucks!

Lets just hope she is smart enough to listen to the sports business people she has working under her rather than thinking she knows it all. I am hopeful she will act this way, but cannot, of course, be certain.

Pretty simple really....keep work at work and extracurricular activities away from the office. Your office persona should be 100% professional. What you do on your own time, is up to you. Example....Brian Cashman had a messy affair/divorce that was front page news for weeks in NY. He is still GM of the Yankees. If the affair was with a Yankees employee, I think he would have been gone years ago.

It wouldn't be the worst idea for Cleveland to take two QBs. It worked for the Dalls Cowboys of the early 90s. Took Aikman #1 overall and then used the #2 pick of the supplemental draft on Steve Walsh. That pick of Walsh cost the Cowboys #1 overall in the 1990 NFL draft, but Walsh was then traded for a 1st rounder, 2nd rounder and a 3rd rounder in the 1990 season.

TBH, todays Buffalo is far more vibrant and exciting than it was 20-30 years ago. Huge improvements have been made and downtown by the waterfront looks fantastic. Much credit is due the Pegulas. I took some time to drive around the city when I was there last August and again in March. Very impressive from what I remembered.

Ray Bentley and the Darby the Dinosaur Books I was a kid and of course had one.
Also Thomas Smith. Because his jersey said T. Smith and I didn't know what the T stood for we called him Teriyaki because that's what we had for dinner. Wasn't like we could just google it at the time.

Ray Bentley is awesome! I had all the Darby books and taught my kids to read using them to this day.
I mean...look at that mullet!

21, 22 Glenn and a 3rd rounder likely gets this done. Its a trade I would make in a heartbeat.

My Mom is recording it for me. Dont know when I'll get it, but at least I will have a copy.

Damn good breakdown. If we take Allen, he will need to sit for at least a year and maybe two while a bridge guy like Bradford plays. We also need a QB guru to rebuild his mechanics from scratch. We do not have such a coach on staff atm.

I was there in late August. Stayed at a Best Western which was perfectly fine and had a decent hotel bar for afterwards. Colonial Williamsburg was 5 min away, Busch Gardens was 15 min. The Busch Gardens waterpark, Water Country USA was a ton of fun. If you like roller coasters, Busch Gardens has like 7 or 8 and they are all pretty cool. Walk around Williamsburg and pay a la carte for what you want to do rather than buying tickets. Shooting a colonial musket was fun, as an example. The restaurants in Colonial Williamsburg are overpriced, but the food can be decent. We ate there two nights.
