  1. Unfortunately for him, he doesnt get to play Vanderbilt and some other weaker schools anymore. In the NFL, he is a scatback.
  2. I wont underestimate special teams. Mark Pike and Tasker turned many a game with great special teams play. And a big nickel use for him when teams are in 2 TE sets makes some sense to me. At least we get something outta this pick. I wish we got more than 1 impact player outta this draft tho...
  3. I feel like we got the wrong brother. This feels like drafting Jeremy Giambi in fantasy baseball circa 2001 bc Jason was such a beast. A second round scatback who is likely to see 50 touches all year is meh. Should have just traded up for Hall IMHO. That would have been a weapon. Now we have to defend against him 2xs a year.
  4. Happy f'in bday! Just checked and tomorrow is my 19th on TBD. Finally legal in Canada. Bring on the ballet lol
  5. That half against Pitt may be the single best half of football I ever saw a WR have. He just took over and could not be stopped by anyone. Allen just kept chucking it to him and Diggs was completely incredible in that game.
  6. Good for him. Very capable backup and def brought energy when he saw the field.
  7. He wrecked the Bills entire culture that was built in the 90sby Marv and Bill. All that success was flushed by Donohoe and Williams. The organization became dysfunctional and, in the end, Donohoe became Captain Queeg with the strawberries. It was awful to watch and sit through. Knowing the team you give heart and soul to is just going down the drain and there is nothing you can do to stop it.
  8. Yes...cmonl Syracuse CB
  9. Throwing enough stuff against a wall and seeing what sticks on edge is not the worst idea. Its gonna be a big need soon and we have to get to the opposing qb. Use draft capital rather than spend big in free agency is not the worst plan I ever heard. Hope they evaluated it right bc if they did we will have a monster pass rush.
  10. Can we get Ertz already? lol
  11. Today was sloppy. They usually don't play sloppy football under McDermott. 3 turnovers, 10 penalties, 7 dropped passes...it's ugly. Been a long time since they played that sloppy. They better stop reading their press clippings. That said, I expect an elite level of focus for Kansas City on Monday. They will look like a whole different team.
  12. Thats a lot of talent not on the field.
  13. Im cool with a 1st round CB. Make that pass defense extra nasty.
  14. This is exactly right. Whether ABC or ESPN does it matters a little, but making Monday night the premier matchup of the week (like Sunday night is now) would do much more to re-elevate Monday night football than merely switching what channel the game is on. And to the OP, yes, me and all my rowdy friends are ready to enjoy MNF again. Bring back Hank!
  15. I was just in Lake Placid skiing for a week and they are making a huge deal about the 40th anniversary of the 1980 Olympics. They had lots of fun and cool stuff.
  16. We could use a power back and a home run threat tbh. But whoever we add NEEDS to be able to pass protect.
  17. The active man of the 80s! Loved that commercial
  18. Changing the GM/coach every 2-3 years is how the Bills went 17 years without a playoff berth. Its not a recipe for success. The Sabres need a more talented roster but they have some real building blocks in Eichel, Dahlin, Skinner etc. They need to add talent and depth. Many of their youngish type players can become building blocks through internal improvement (Mittelstadt, Pilut, Olofsson etc.). The team is very, very young and has a lot of room for growth. I would certainly give Bots another year (at least) to see this through.
  19. I see my Dad prob 2xs a year. Hug and I give a kiss on the cheek.
  20. Just did a search here...lots of old-timers posting in that thread and it gives more color to what has been hearsay over the years.
  21. RW made his daughter an official scout for the team. That meant Polian had to deal with her as much as any other scout. Now, while I love Polian, he was very much a "my way or the highway" kinda guy. And he didnt want the owner's daughter forced upon him as a scout. You can see how that dynamic was set up to fail in epic fashion. Add to that the fact that Jeff Littman (Ralph's penny pincher from Detriot) and Polian did not get along at all. If I recall correctly, Polian wanted to pay Will Wolford and got into a big fight with Littman about it. Linda Bogdan (Ralph's daughter) chimed in that she would find another good LT and that set Polian off like a rocket. He called he plenty of colorful names in front of the whole front office staff. That didnt go well with Ralph. While I do not think Polian was fired by Ralph per se, they both agreed to not continue their employment relationship after the season. If anyone recalls more (or corrects my mistaken memories) feel free to join in.
  22. The U Catholics vs Convicts Requiem for the Big East Survive and Advance Four Falls of Buffalo The Legend of Jimmy the Greek (this was awesome btw, highly underrated). Guru of Go The Two Escobars When the Garden was Eden The House of Steinbrenner I Hate Christian Laettner Pony Excess The 85 Bears Unhittable: Sidd Finch and the Tibetan Fastball Nature Boy Honorable Mention: The Class that Saved Coach K - while technically not a 30 for 30 its a well done documentary by ESPN films.
  23. I say good for them. They produce decent content (albeit with a Boston bend that I personally dislike).
