The Shelton trade will get done b/c TD will have to throw in a 3rd or 4th rd pick. It doesn't make me happy, but I'd do it to get Shelton.

We can cut him and take the 2 mil in dead money (not too bad), or toss him another mil to restructure for a Year 4. Years 3- 4 would then look like this... There is a point in all of that though... We are truly either getting the next JK or the next RJ. There will be no in-between. Kid has talent and ego, like JK did. Does he have JK's heart? A couple of things clumpy.... 1- Who cares where he was picked. He's not playing like Ogden, Pace or Jones to justify it. 2- If NE showed us ANYTHING, its that one plkayer doesn't matter. Depth and across the board talent does. You can have one superstar paid big bucks and it hurts your team. It really hurts your team when he's not playing like a 9 mill tackle. Give me 5 guys making above average salary and I'll beat you. 3- Just a question, what are the ramifications if we release him. How much would he count against our cap this year?

No we have him by the balls. Deal Henry for Shelton and bye-bye overpaid Mike Williams. Use the cash to resign Phat Pat, Jonas and a LG. Then you have an OL like this... LT - Jonas LG - Wahle C - Teague/Tucker RG - Villarial RT - Shelton Will Shelton be any worse than Williams? Shelton also makes a helluva lot less. Bottom line MW either severely restructures or he is gone.

Why was his salary escalated? If he doesn't renegotiate that down to reasonable levels, I would not be upset if TD released him. Truly, I would not be.

Yeah we really need more cap space. We have 3 must do moves this offseason with Pat, Jonas and LG. A backup RB and a TE can both come in the draft with our #2 and the #2 we get for henry. Shane is fine as backup QB.

Why did MW get such an escalator???? He didn't make the pro bowl. How can these guys get such big salaries, I thought the whole idea was low base, big bonus?
