  1. I don't think this is a development. I think this has always been the case, at least since Donohoe was here, when he had all authority. Ralph crawled back into a cave when he gave TD total control, and then felt like he completely lost his team. So he renamed himself President and he put back his own henchmen Overdork and Littman in charge. He soon got Marv back whom he trusted, but that didn't work. He put a marketer in as GM who didn't really have GM normal duties because Overdork, Littman, Jauron and Modrak/John Guy split all of them. No wonder we have been terrible for a decade. But this isn't new. Ralph made decisions like this well before Donohoe, too.

Reading your posts in this thread and I feel gut-punched. I agree that they are most likely true...but since the Evans trade, I have had no desire to buy a ticket to a game, a jersey or even read the news about the Bills. I pop in sporadically now.

  2. Same here.

PS - if people are going to evacuate skyscrapers in an earthquake, the worst possible place for them to congregate is at the foot of that skyscraper... At least some building managers are smart enough to get people off the sidewalks.

LOL! Yep. Looking at the streets below my building and they are full of people. Foolish. If I have to leave, I'm headed to Battery Park. Nothing above you that can fall on you.

  3. As someone who actually had the courtesy to leave his seats and walk to the designated area (not the bathroom), this really sucks. Nobody in that area was not a smoker. Nobody was in that area except for between quarters or halftime. People who smoked in the stands or bathroom should be tossed, but I always appreciated that certain places (Rich Stadium, the Tampa airport etc.) still catered to all fans...smokers and non-smokers alike without causing the two to mix. The fact that they now need to ban it will make people smoke elsewhere in the stadium (rather than the open air designated areas) and cause more conflict. Bad idea.

  4. When SWAT's breaking into your house and you react by arming yourself with an assault rifle...doesn't matter who's right or wrong, or what anyone's motivations are, it is simply and absolutely in some way going to end badly.

True. But it is at least plausible that he did not know they were SWAT or even police. Could be armed intruders as suggested by the article.

  5. Wow, I know this may put me at risk for taking some crap, but I'm really saddened by this. Macho Man Savage was a huge part of my childhood and I pretty much idolized the guy. I still remember the very first time I saw him wrestle, it was an MSG match on tv and as he was walking to the ring you could hear him say, "get the cameras ready, cause you ain't NEVER seen anything like what I'm gonna do here." Over the next ten mins I saw him do just that - moves I had never seen before. I geeked out big time when he popped Chico Santana with the steel to win the IC title in the Boston Garden, and I even remember how my elderly aunts and grandma would gather around the tv with me during Saturday Night's Main Event, particularly for his match against the Honky Tonk Man when he took a guitar to the head.

It's funny, when you're growing up you just sort of assume that the people who are bigger than life (your parents, your movie heroes, sports heroes, etc) will live forever. Then as you get older and they start to pass away, it brings back just floods of memories. This is really a sad day....RIP Randy....OOOOOOOOOOOH YEAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!!

I feel the same way you do, so we can both take the crap together. I had a poster on my wall as a kid of Macho Man with Miss Elizabeth, who was wearing a white bikini, lookin real fine.

  6. Great story. Here is the same one. A little more but curiously leaves out the details of the thief's injuries lol. The best part!

    It is alluded to....

Attaway ran again but didn't get far before Richie, several other Marines and members of the store's loss-prevention team tackled him in the parking lot and held him until deputies arrived.

    Yeah....they "held" him. Sure. LOL!

  7. This is pretty good...

Orville Smith, a store manager for Best Buy in Augusta, Georgia, told police he observed a male customer, later identified as Tyrone Jackson of Augusta, on surveillance cameras putting a laptop computer under his jacket. When confronted the man became irate, knocked down an employee, drew a knife and ran for the door.

Outside on the sidewalk were four Marines collecting toys for the "Toys for Tots" program. Smith said the Marines stopped the man, but he stabbed one of the Marines, Cpl. Phillip Duggan, in the back; the injury did not appear to be severe.

After Police and an ambulance arrived at the scene Cpl. Duggan was transported for treatment.

"The subject was also transported to the local hospital with two broken arms, a broken ankle, a broken leg, several missing teeth, possible broken ribs, multiple contusions, assorted lacerations, a broken nose and a broken jaw...injuries he sustained when he slipped and fell off of the curb after stabbing the Marine," according to a police report.

  8. Just a question: Do you have kids?

Because there's the theory and the reality of this.

Unless the covers are made of diamond-plate.... We got my nephew a Leapster for Christmas. Two weeks later, the screen had a quarter-size spiderweb-pattern crack on it. And that thing is pretty well coated in rubber and a plastic lens cover.

LOL...yep. My 5 year old will be in kindergarten next year. Giving him an IPad would be ridiculous. It would end up soaked in apple juice.

Smart boards...yeah, I could get behind that. Have the kids learn to stand up in front of class and use them...sure, perfect skill to teach. But an Ipad...sorry.
