Did y'all catch Josh's fiance in the boob commercial yesterday?

I'm all about saving second base! 😜 -
I completely agree with you regarding priorities. But then I look at the impact Hamilton had in Baltimore and McKinney in GB and think...well maybe we could use one of those guys back there...

Nick Brinkerhoff of USA TODAY is predicting Holland to the Bills. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/nfl-free-agency-predictions-where-110737101.html Interesting take. I do believe we will create a fair amount of cap room and do some extensions. But a difference maker in the secondary is needed. Rapp was good (esp in the game @ NYJ) but Bishop looked lost. And Hamlin plays safety too "safe" to ever make a difference. I know we need DL help, but S could use help also. And it never hurts to weaken the FIsh. Thoughts?

Should I try and prevent my two year old from being a Bills fan?
bills_fan replied to letsgoteam's topic in Off the Wall
When I began having kids (I have 3), I realized my time would be very limited, I had to pick and choose what was important to me. And then make those things an activity I can enjoy with my kids. Watching the Bills and downhill skiing were my choices. I taught them all about football and how to ski. Both have made for awesome times for me and the kids. It has provided innumerable benefits over the years. You choose your own path obviously, but I incorporated my kids into 2 things I love. And I will be happy I did until the day I die. -
I think that was announced around Xmas and my first reaction was...guess we know who was visited by 3 ghosts....

While I realize those guys don't grown on trees and are hard to find, can you imagine how good this defense would be if we had Phat Pat and Ted Washington at DT. With all other pieces being the same? I realize a "penetrating DT" is really ideal, but massive fat guys can work almost as well IMHO. If they took up 3 OL on every play, rest of the defense can simply fly to the ball. I would really advocate trading for Dexter Lawrence and draft the fattest DT we can find early.

I was an 80s Star Wars kid. This will always be my fav Christmas gift.

It could happen that UNC becomes a perennial powerhouse. The last school to do that in football was Miami in the 80s. Went from not much of a program pre 1980 or so to winning National Titles. Teams like TCU, Boise now SMU have their moments in any given year, but its hard to build a program to compete with the traditional powers. Belichick's manual is probably a very well thought out plan to do just that. And with NIL and the portal, the sport is wide open for a real paradigm shift. A non-traditional program could become the next Miami. i certainly would not bet against him.

I'm curious...what makes you say that?
-
IMHO most of the movies on that list are pure trash. But a Christmas Story is my all time fav and I do not really see anything wrong with Polar Express.

Hamlin plays safety too "safely." He is the guy who guards the flag in capture the flag. Decent backup...don't get beat deep, keep the ball in front of you yada, yada...but he is not a playmaker. Hyde can be a playmaker back there.

He will be starting soon. And we will see a big upgrade.

President Biden pardons his son, Hunter.
bills_fan replied to Beast's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I do not disagree with anything you wrote. But I always believed a Hunter pardon would happen. Nor do I blame him for pardoning Hunter. Biden is a buffoon on so many levels. But saving his son from prison time is not one of them IMHO. -

I can hate on Biden and the Dems for a whole lot that has happened in the last 4 years. Pardoning Hunter is not one of them since I would do the exact same thing for my son if I had to and I was in Bidens position. Once you have kids, you are a Dad first imho. -

I see Steelers finishing with 4-5 losses (Bengals, ravens and maybe Eagles). Chiefs could lose to Chargers/Denver/Steelers/Houston (at least 2 of those). If we only drop one more, we are the 1 seed under my scenario above. I'd love that since the xtra week of rest is pretty key, As is avoiding the 2 or 3 seed until the AFC title game. IMHO, the 1 seed is massively valuable.
-
If you recall, the Bills were down but just starting to turn it on offensively and then Brady called that goofy trick play that resulted in a turnover. Ravens scored from there and we could not get back in the game.
-
Oh they certainly could. Their end of year schedule makes it possible that they lose 2 of their last 3 (Houston, @ Pitt 4 days later and @ Denver). Its just not likely. Hence my longshot statement. A longshot is still a shot though. Tampa not going for 2 and Denver getting a kick blocked hurt us as either game could have tacked a loss on the Chiefs.

Tampa Bay Rays - Tropicana Field destroyed by Hurricane Milton

https://sports.yahoo.com/tampa-bay-rays-will-play-2025-home-schedule-at-steinbrenner-field-spring-training-stadium-of-the-yankees-170217651.html They will play at Steinbrenner Field for the 2025 season. Might be pretty cool to go see a MLB game in a tiny stadium. -
Highly likely we have the 2 seed. The 1 is a longshot even if we win on Sunday. Pitts/Baltimore/Houston all have much tougher schedules than ours. They are all likely to be in the 5-7 loss range. We are likey to be in the 3-5 loss range.
