  1. Ice you are right! We are not as bad as everyone wants to say we are. The Titans suck as much as usthen with that logic. The bye week is good for fans in that it can give you some perspective about the NFL as a whole. We tend to be too narrow-sighted when evaluating the Bills. But they do need to win a damn game and beating the Super Bowl champs with an 18 game winning streak after a bye week would be a huge start!
  2. MW is a better run-blocker than McKinnie without a doubt. We are supposed to be a run-oriented team which is why we have him
  3. Which goes to show you again, contrary to what some posters believe sacks are NOT the same as turnovers. Sacks are much better to take than turnovers. Atlanta does not win the game if they turn it over 5 times, but they win with Vick taking 5 sacks.
  4. I'll be at the game--should be a good one
  5. Yanks got beat at Fenway. The Yanks should win the division and we'll see if the Sox and Yanks meet up again. Should make for another good October
  6. He is actually the best run blocker on the team. He is okay on pass blocking. He just needs to be consistent. He was moving the Raiders DL all around on run plays.
  7. Many of the NFL "experts" had them going to the SB! Hey they have a worse record than us.
  8. Donahoe's major bad decision was GW as the first head coach. The DB trade was a very good move at the time. If you forget we had just had the Flutie/Johnson debacle and went 3-13--yep 3-13 and were awful. There were no other decent QBs in the league out there and we got DB who had a good first year and a lousy second year. We'll see what he does this year and if he stinks we have Losman for next year. Donahoe also drafted and brought in players who made up the 2nd best D last year and a very good one now. We all thought after the salary cap jail we were in that it would take 3 years to get out. Well we are in year 4 so let's see how we do.
  9. Sacks are not like turnovers--TO are much worse than a sack. But the point of the original post is well taken. Leftwich is not a good QB and their team still wins. Watching today was upsetting as I keep thinking the Bills should be 2-0 not 0-2. Also they could easily be 0-4 in another 2 weeks.
  10. The Bills are VERY unlucky. I don't care what anybody says
  11. Drew needs to make quicker decisions, WR have to catch better, and the RB need to pick up the blitz better.
  12. I love Big Ted as well, but with a salary cap of around 50M and a cap figure of 8-9M for an injury prone guy--that is just dumb. He went to Chicago and missed almost a whole season due to injury and missed over half the year last year for New England with an injury. Hey, Donahoe has made some bad decisions but that one unfortunately had to be made. When no other team signed Big Ted for awhile and it looked like he may be re-signable GW mouthed off about not liking fat players.
  13. Keeping Big Ted for a salary cap figure that equals 20% of the cap would have been VERY dumb! Hindsight is always 20/20! Donahoe has made some bad mistakes but he has brought in some very good talent. He is a good GM--not great, at least right now but good.
  14. Oneida lake is 100% correct. Bledsoe played poorly vs the Raiders but he is hardly the reason the team lost. He is partly responsible as are the safeties and DBs who got scorched on two 3rd and forevers, two holding calls taking back 160 yards, dropped passes for first downs, inabilty to score a TD at the goal line, etc etc...
  15. Remember with Flutie the sacks were minimal with the exact same O-line. I imagine with a QB who made quicker decisions the sacks would be much less. But turnovers are much more important than sacks--I would rather he have no INTs or fumbles than get sacked 5X/game. W/L is the ultimate stat in this game and the whole team is to blame not just the QB
  16. Some reason is nice once in awhile
  17. It is so damn annoying to hear, but it is correct. Two holding penalties on great returns--correctable. Reed catching a third down pass thrown right to him. They are shooting themselves in the foot. This is a talented team that makes dumb mistakes that kill them. They have talent--this is not like the recent 3-13 team that was just awful b/c of the lack of talent. I actually think that that is what is so annoying--we should be 2-0 and now have put ourselves in an awful hole.
  18. MW has played very well running the ball. The commentators on satellite radio kept commentating on how he was "having his way" with whatever DL the Raiders threw at him. He played excellent the first week against a very good DL in Jacksonville. Bledsoe was responsible for probably 3-4 sacks and the OL/RB not picking up blitzes another 3. I have no problem switching MW to guard just b/c Price is probably a better lineman than Sape and you want your best 5 lineman in the game. But Price is definitely not better than Williams, and Williams is by far the best run-blocker on the team.
  19. The vast majority of poor already have TV--cable as well.
  20. It will still be a very close election. If the Democrats had not nominated a moron they would be in front.
  21. Guys it is a long long season. Teams look pathetic one week and great another. The Pats hardly looked great struggling against the Cardinals. The plus is that the Bills have been beating themselves which means they have the talent to win. Two very dumb holding calls negate 150 yards on special teams. The Bills have a great D which means they can play with any team in the league. Granted, Bledsoe hardly inspires great confidence but he is all the team has right now. The Bills could easily be 2-0. It is not like the game they lost to KC last year and were totally manhandled. Remember back during Wade's first season the team started 0-3 and made the playoffs.
  22. It depends where along the bone you fracture it. The fibula is essentially a non-weight bearing bone. Losman fractured it closer to the ankle joint which makes it more complicated--any fracture close to or involving a joint is more complicated because it involves insertion and attachment sites of ligaments and tendons as well. A simple fracture of the fibula in the middle of the bone is much less complicated and should only take around 6 weeks to heal--if that is all Losman had he would be back in like three weeks time from now. Unfortunately that wasn't the case.
  23. Where are the people on this board who were calling for Milloy's headlast year and calling for Wire to replace him? Coy Wire is a great guy and a good special teams player--that is it. He is a liability as a safety. He plays hard but is just not quick/fast enough to play at a competitive level.
  24. USMC is right--I also had to listen to the radio so I did not see the game. The Bills again shoot themselves in the foot time and time again. Two holding penalties on special teams for over 150 yards KILLS you!! Also taking away a first down by Tucker's holding penalty kills you. Bledsoe underthrowing and overthrowing people kills you. J Reed dropping two passes kills you.
  25. I didn't see the game but the commentators on satellite radio kept commenting on how Williams was crushing the Raiders DL on every running play. They said he was having his way with whoever he was matched up against. They did not comment on the passing plays. Sounded as if half were Bledsoe's fault and half the OL's fault.
