  1. Last 6 games are killer? The Bills could actually go 6-0 in those last six games. Miami, Cleveland, Cincinnati, etc...
  2. Guess the guarantee was useless. Zero TO today and the Bills win. Good win for the Bills.
  3. Definitely Sirius if you are an NFL fan. You can get all the Bills' games.
  4. Tom Brady--two Super Bowls in 3 years. A 20 game winning streak and not a Pro Bowler on that offensive side of the ball other than Brady.
  5. Rubes you are exactly right. We have a Drew problem. I really like the guy, but as you replace him with a QB that doesn't make mistakes and makes the throws he should (hitting a wide open Moulds at the goal line) we are much much improved. Drew got at least 5 seconds to make a throw on three sacks--just throw it away or dump it off. Our Oline is not that bad. Watch its improvement with the replacement of the QB.
  6. The Pats lacked one player the year they won the Super Bowl '01 season. After two games they were 0-2 and in comes a sixth round draft pick QB and leads them to the Super Bowl. I live in Boston and half were saying Bledsoe needs to go and the other half were saying give him an Oline, another receiver etc... Getting rid of Drew with an average QB who doesn't make spectacular plays, but doesn't hurt himself will help immensely. The switch of just one player on their team made the biggest difference.
  7. Lee Evans looks damn good. TKO, Fletcher, Milloy, McGee, McGahee, Losman has lots of promise, Schobel etc...not all bad decisions. Second best D in the league last year is not a mistake. Get rid of Bledsoe and we are much, much, better.
  8. Bledose 6sacks/game JP 2 sacks/game Same OL Different result with more points scored. Hit a wide open receiver at the goal line, don't throw a pick that's run back for a TD and Bills get another win.
  9. The OL will look immensely better when JP replaces Bledsoe just as NE's OL did when Brady replaced Bledsoe and Flutie replaced Johnson. Look at the OLines accross the league. They are littered with journeymen who seem to find a way to get it done. It is not the Oline's fault they can't block 7 rushers and Bledsoe just ducks and goes to ground. Look at every line across the league and you'll see Bledsoe behind those lines would be just as bad.
  10. Mike, perfect post. Bledsoe is a terrific guy but it is time for everyone to recognize he just is not the guy anymore. He was run out of New England and will soon be out of Bufalo next year. We should wish him well as a superb guy and probably a Hall of Fame QB by numbers. Father time catches up with all of us and I think even though Drew is fairly young he has played 10+ seasons and gotten hit too many times. Good luck to him.
  11. Tolstoy you are right in a lot of ways. With Losman the OL looks better. We have good D and ST. I just worry that by the time Losman develops into a good QB in a year or two our guys will be older and not as good as today (Moulds, Fletcher, Spikes, Milloy etc), and we will have wasted one of the better defenses we ever had while waiting for Bledsoe to come around.
  12. MW played well except for a false start. The OL will be greatly relieved once Losman gets in there because they will all of a sudden look better as well. When a QB gets rid of the ball in time, throws accurate and to an open receiver that actually helps. MW is our best lineman and is here to stay for a few more years. He looked better than all Pro Ogden yesterday who got outplayed terribly by Schobel--a player criticized often on this board by the way for being overpayed. Well Schobel outplayed Ogden and he is the best LT in the AFC.
  13. Bills should win this one at home.
  14. This is a great point and one I have been making for a long time. I would say our Oline is not all that bad and that having a QB like Bledsoe kills the OL. He got sacked at least 2-3 times today when having a good 5 seconds to throw. Amazing how the Pats fans complained of the same thing right before Brady took over for Bledsoe and the change of one player virtually eliminated the 5 sacks/game with the same OL. Also, with JP if they bring an all out blitz he can burn them with his legs so teams will be less willing to bring the house to blitz if he can get away from them all. The OL is not the main culprit here--it is Drew. He is a great guy who has had a great career but will only give you an occasional good game. Bring in Losman when he is healthy. I bet we become much less sacked with one new player and the same OL!
  15. The McGahee draft pick looks better and better--TH is a good second back you'll need at some time due to injuries. WM is the starter just look at the results the past two games
  16. Too bad MW is our best lineman. But guess what? I bet our OL is "miraculously" better with JP. How many sacks did JP take in the pre-season? Maybe one?
  17. Use your head and do not act so impulsively! You actually have to think!
  18. Why on Earth would you bench your best player in Moulds? That is just plain dumb dumb dumb! Yes JP and McGahee should play but why bench Moulds when he is on pace for another Pro Bowl year?????
  19. He needs to look in the mirror. When JP arrives and we have half the sacks Bledsoe had then we will all start wondering if it was indeed the O-line's fault. How about making a quick decision and throw. Many QBs in this league would love a receiving corps with Moulds and Evans. Pats do not have a pro bowl receiver or O-lineman but they seem to manage. Probably because they have a great QB which makes up for a lot.
  20. I agree the Sox are in good position. A win tonight is huge as when they go to St. Louis they are pitching Pedro, Lowe, and Wakefield. Should be a great series. But you Sox fans should be happy you played defense like crap, your pitching staff was exposed by a good hitting team (not a Yankee team that went up to the plate flailing away) and you still win. Should give you guys confidence!
  21. Good posts Clements. The Sox deserve this and it has been a long time coming so congrats to those fans. The idea of Sox fans complaining about the Yanks spending a lot of money though is somewhat preposterous. Guess who spends the second most? The Red Sox do! They spend about 120-130M on payroll and have Manny making 20M/year. Minnesota, Detroit, Milwaukee can all complain because they will never have the revenue to sign big name players, but the BoSox are being a bit disingenuous by complaining. Here in Boston we have the highest tickets in the nation for baseball so don't feel sorry for the BoSox not being able to spend money because they do, and a lot of it. And like Clements says, it does not ensure a thing as proven for the past 4 years.
  22. TW was going to cost about 7-8M in cap space that year with a cap at the time around 50M. Plus the following season or two he was injured and missed a lot of games for Chicago. An awful lot to be paying an oft-injured player. He made about 1M for the Pats last year. I love Big Ted and think he is the best NT in football when he is healthy, but at the time with the cap situation there was no way the Bills would have been able to re-structure his contract for a reasonable amount.
  23. Great series, here in Boston today it is crazy. A bit tough for a Yanks fan like myself, but I always thought the Sox had a better team this year. The better team won the pennant and that's how it should be! Now, can they win the World Series? The Bills lost the Super Bowl--if they won the SB that year it would have made that comeback even more special,
  24. I am a Yankees fan and think they are pathetic--wearing a Bills hat now trumps the Yankees hat! Wow, who would have thought?
  25. Are the Bills now going to be off the hook for futility in postseason play? This will be the biggest collapse EVER in postseason if they lose--which looks like they are well on their way to being smoked!!! The Sox will have come back from a 3-0 deficit and come into Yankee stadium and humiliated the Yanks. Biggest collapse ever now belongs to the Yankees--not the Bills.
