I have lost all repsect for the guy now. Gee, a 400 lb guy going into a very risky surgery to begin with! Odds are very high he will have complications. Trust me, going into the abdomen of a 400 lb plus individual is very very difficult. This is not incising a boil this is major, major surgery as a last resort for morbidly obese people.

I guess TD made another three "bad" moves by letting those three go huh? Give TD some big props with those decisioins--not exactly popular at the time or shortly thereafter. Now they are quite popular moves by TD.

We have only beaten one team with a winning...
Ray replied to ICE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you look around the league 90% of the teams are hovering around .500. So who else do you expect us to play? Eagles, Pittsburgh, Phila and Indy and the Jets and that's about it! 5 out of 32! The Bills played the leaders of the NFC west and beat them both so that does account for something. And they both had winning records when we played them. It is twelve games into the season and the Bills are probably one of the top 10 teams in the league right now who happen to play in the best division in football in the best conference. -
I'm getting even more sick--especially since I'm buying two more for Christmas gifts!
-
Then take away his 3 INT game the other week and his stats look even better. You can play that game both ways--bottom line he had a great game against the number one ranked pass defense on the road so that should make fans happy!
-
You guys are being a little bit harsh. Some of the Bills are very pretty others are quite average with nice bods. Go to a game and you'll see they all have nice abs at least! Actually some are very very pretty.

If the Bills defense is now ranked #3
Ray replied to Yard Monkey's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Washington, Pittsburgh and Buffalo the top three defenses! G Williams, D LeBeau, and J Gray--something tells me they all have some relation to the Bills! Maybe Donahoe actually has a pretty good eye for talented coaches. -
Plus, if Tom Brady was so good why did he last until the 6th round???

TD has had some VERY good moves. McGahee, Evans, letting Price go (ask Atlanta?), signing Moulds over Wiley, Clements, Milloy, Spikes, Fletcher, Adams. He has assembled some good talent here. He can be criticized rightfully so for GW, but at the Bledsoe was a very good move as well. At the time our choices were Bledsoe, R Johnson or signing J Blake. Bledsoe still was the best choice even as poorly as he has played. And for those who said let Bledsoe go and sign Brunell--how is he working out in Washington with the worst offense in the league?

Bledsoe has found 9 different receivers

3 terrible balls, but overall a good performance for Drew. For those who criticized Donahoe for picking McGahee do you want to retract your statements? 4 TDs today. When was the last time we had a back score 4 TDs? And on the road!!!! -
Great call and play! Hard to criticize that play.

Having TH as a second string back is not bad!

Awesome news for Buffalo, but after all the disappointments there I'll hold my enthusiasm until it is built and operating at a profit for at least 5 years.

Is enyone else Jones-ing for the Simoncast!
Ray replied to envirojeff's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I really miss the Simoncast as well. I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels badly about Empire's demise. It is dying slowly and painfully. Koshinski really doesn't have much of a choice--his hands are tied, and were so as soon as the Rigases were caught looting millions actually billions from Adelphia. One billion dollars is a lot of money to squander and screw WNY in the process. I miss the '98-'00 Empire--it was great sports TV. -
I was sad to see him go, but he didn't like Buffalo and was gone as soon as that contract ended.

I Am Going To Ease Off of Mike Williams
Ray replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He has actually played well this season overall. OL we tend to think of as almighty make their fair share of mistakes. Orlando Pace certainly was/is not a shut down tackle--at least against the Bills or the Pats which are the games I've seen him play. If you go and watch other teams you will tend to elevate their play beyond your teams' player (Mckinnie over MW etc...). But you would have been yelling at Ogden for letting Schobel whip him if you were a Baltimore fan. So it is all relative. Remember the OL is blocking 60 plays a game. MW may play 59 well but whiff on one block that causes a sack of Drew and then everyone says he sucks. Well if he won 59 of his battles that's a pretty darn good game. -
Jennings' replacement is probably on the roster
Ray replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Anyone at the game could see this kid Peters can play. He has great mobility and agility especially for a 315 lb. guy. He blocks VERY well but got called for a cheesy holding penalty. Recovered a fumble. This guy could be a great player. -
I love my Sirius radio--I'm just mad I didn't buy the stock at $2 when I bought my Sirius! Great product and I imagine the product will only get better as satellite radio gets better. Listened to it all the way home from the Bills' game back to Massachusetts.

Butch Davis Walking The Plank In Cleveland
Ray replied to Mark VI's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I live in Boston and the word here is that NOOOOOO way do the Pats let Pioli go. The Pats have him under contract for a few more years. They could easily elevate him to co-GM status for the Pats as well. If they do let him go they would be asking for huge compensation--like next two number one picks and then some. At least this is the word in beantown. They were speculating that he would go to Miami as well--doubt it! -
I think most people here agree Bledsoe is a big/biggest problem. The BIGGER problem is that the alternative is a rookie who has a lot to learn and is not going to win many ball games at first. I agree with the coaches that Bledsoe gives them the best chnce to win now. If we have 7 or 8 losses then we are out of the playoffs so then give JP the ball. That is fair.
-
We could go 6-0 the rest of the year--very unlikely, and still miss the playoffs because we'd lose every tiebreaker. We lost to Jacksonville and we'd have a poor AFC record. We would have to hope the Jets, Jags, San Diego, et al collapse to 9-7 and they all lose 4 or 5 of their last six games. Well never say it's over until it's over. The key game is this weekend. If they win, then it is Miami and then another home game.

Not referring to GW at all. Why would he fire a coach that had a five game improvement? He wouldn't. And overall, although our record has stunk TD has done some very good things. Straightened out the cap, took Moulds over Wiley when they were free agents, franchised Price and essentially got McGahee for Price (ask Atlanta how he's doing for the 10 million signing bonus), Milloy, Adams, Fletcher, Spikes, T Mcgee and Fast Freddie in the later rounds. Even the B?ledsoe trade at the time--remember our options were a guy who was a Pro Bowlerand won an AFC championship game for his team that year, Rob Johnson or Jeff Blake. Take your pick and 99% of us would have done the same thing. He made a mistake with GW, and MM remains to be seen. But give some balanced perspective to the whole thing.
-
And half as good as Moulds! What's B Shaw doing next year?
-
I agree. If the Bills this week it is goodbye Drew. 10-6 might not even get teams into the AFC playoffs this year. 9-7 will no way get you to the playoffs. I know, asking the Bills to go 7-0 in the final seven is unrealistic. But until they are completely out of it we won't see JP starting.

I'm mad at myself because I could have bought the stock a few months ago for $2 right after I got my Sirius radio. Oh, well 20/20 is always hindsight. At least I didn't lose any money.
