  1. I think Tim Couch is available! Face it the crop of QBs is VERY thin. DB will be starting next year as well unless JP has a great training camp. That is what it looks like right now. And Steve McNair will retire before coming to play for Buffalo for an extra year for those holding out hope for that scenario.
  2. Let's cut our top receiver--our top RB while we're at it. Yes he needs to concentrate more and was dropping too mant passes, but come on people! What receiver on this team had 80+ catches? Evans, I love, but he had what maybe 40 catches. The two of them together are very nice complement and should be better next year.
  3. I would have rather faced the rookie R'berger than Maddox because Maddox is a better passer! Staley was a starting RB last year and this season before injury. The offensive "backups" scored 6 points. The Bills beat themselves with penalties and turnovers and missed opportunities (28 yard FG).
  4. People have to relax and realize it was a very good decision at the time coming off of the RJ experiment. He, DB, had a Pro Bowl season the following year and led a mediocre Bills team to an 8-8 year. He had a lousy '03 season and an average season this year. The experiment as the right one to take at the time. It was him, RJ again or Jeff Blake. Is Blake in the NFL now? I think he is a third string back-up. So those were your options at the time. TD made the right call! You can go back and use 20/20 vision for everythin. Heck, I'd be a millionaire many times over earning money on the stock market if I had 20/20 hindsight for everything. Given the events at the tim--right decision. Just hasn't worked out as well as we would have liked.
  5. Sal is wrong. It was a good play with a borderline call. Go through every pass play in the league and you'll see pics. Shelton made the first down. McGahee was probably not going for a 10 yard run. A stupid comment by Sal--stupid.
  6. When you get paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to kick--you make that kick. This was 28 yards. It was not a 47 yard field goal!
  7. Sums up how a lot of us feel. Frustrated but have to be realistic. This team gave us a great stretch run but that makes it almost harder to take!
  8. It is easy to say upgrade at QB but who is the alternative??? Let JP compete for the number one spot, but I am not sure he will be ready next year either. Who do you want and who is available. Those are the questions.
  9. I hate moronic posts
  10. No he didn't but he missed a chip shot FG. If he makes it the crowd is in it more-the defense is as well and the approach to the game changes. The Steelers need a TD to go ahead. That was the turning point. Yes, many other opportunites to change things but this was the BIG one. You've got to make the plays you should and making a 27 yard FG for a professional kicker is a play you make!
  11. McGahee with two TDs today and averages over 4 ypc
  12. I think the Lindell miss was a huge momentum breaker. If he makes that FG we go up by four and I really think we end up winning the game. Instead the next play the Steelers go for 55 yards. Well, overall good season. Didn't think I would have much to cheer for in December and it was a good ride.
  13. He would be able to take on either a DL or a LB. Him against a LB is a mismatch. I like the idea a lot! He presents a difficult matchup for whoever he is up against.
  14. Let's hope Tennessee starts it off right on Saturday night!
  15. Who have we beat?? Who have the Pats and the Steelers beat? Steelers beat Cinci and Cleveland twice--way to go! That is today's NFL. A lot of teams with mediocre records. You could easily argue th Bills are playing as well as anyone in the NFL right now. As I recall people were saying the same thing after the Dolphins game. Well, it doesn't look like such a bad win now does it? The fins are actually playing pretty well right now against the niners, us, Denver and the Pats. Go Bills!
  16. MW had a good gamw overall yesterday. Sealed off the right edge for the two big WM runs. Didn't give up a sack! And for the draft Mckinnie people out there--for what it's worth the Vikings are VERY dissatisfied with his play. Listening to one of the national programs last Thursday (can't remember if ESPN or Foxsports) the Lions advantage was that they were going up against the LT of the Vikings Mckinnie who they described as a very disappointing pick as a top ten pick for the Vikes. Gave up 19 sacks in 28 games, and the fans there are not quite as enamored with him as some on this board are! Hey, I think he is a good tackle--but don't have tunnel vision just analyzing your own team. Three of the most overrated players in the NFL were LT--Samuels and Ogden on the list.
  17. TD has done a very good job with this team. Face it--when he inherited this team there was nooo way we were going to win more than 3 games that year. No way! Then a surprising year at 8-8 and a very disappointing year at 6-10 last year. This year we are a Nate Clements deflected pass and a proper TD call at Oakland away from already having a playoff spot. Regardless, this team is one of the top 5 teams in the NFL right now the way they are playing. I would not be surprised at all if we beat the Steelers by 10 points. Give him some creit as he has assembled a great team and an even better defense. Gregg Williams, Dick Lebeau, and Jerry Gray lead 3 of the top 5 defenses in the league right now! Yeah, I guess Donahoe doesn't know how to pick good coaches!
  18. -5 windchill in downtown Boston today! 20mph winds while walking the dog didn't feel too good. Do you know Boston is the windiest city in America???
  19. I was really counting on the Packers winning that one--bastards!
  20. Who have the Pats beat???? They lost to Pittsburgh didn't they? They have virtually the same schedule as we had.
  21. K Reed has been playing very well. Once over the dropsies his confidence is back and is playing tough!
  22. That had to be the WORST call ever on that punt!!!! 25 yard turnaround for the Bills, they fumble and Cinci scores. I'm so PO'd right now!!!
  23. The two most widely abused drugs in the US which cause the most health problems are alcohol and tobacco. You legalize marijuana then you will have more problems than you can imagine. Medical marijuana is a different story--I have no problem with people taking it but there are just as many drugs--cheap drugs that are as good if not better than marijuana for its purported benefits. And it does help with nausea, glaucoma and have limited analgesic properties. But it has many side effects---awful for cardiac and pulmonary systems. Vioxx and Celebrex just ran into many problems for same. But I don't care if someone with terminal cancer wants to smoke marijuana to control their nausea. Let's be honest though--there are many drugs that control nausea as well if not better including marinol--a tab with marijuana's active chemical.
  24. Bills beat the Steelers by at least 10 points. R'berger will have an awful game against this defense in January, in the Ralph. I am much more worried about the Bengals game. If the Bills win tomorrow they can run the table. Very nervous about tomorrow.
  25. The Boston Marlins are having a great offseason. They may actually sneak in front of Toronto and the Orioles next season for second or third place.
