  1. Perfect examples of the un-imaginative way he coaches. No creativity at all. There are dozens of ways to run the ball even out of three WR sets.......there is just no innovation whatsoever in the playcalling. On all of the Pats 4th down conversions everyone was saying watch the bootleg and watch Cassel run for it....exactly what was done and the Bills of course failed to stop it. No reverses, no bootlegs....nothing at all. Still ran well, but in that weather you need something else in your arsenal to use. Other teams do, just rarely if ever the Bills.
  2. I'll third that......sick of having the MLB dropping 20 yards deep all the time.
  3. Again...if it's true it is very disappointing but nobody knows what/where he went. Maybe he did go to the locker room after leaving the box. All my point is, is that it does show a lack of concern and respect if he did just pack up, leave and go home during the game.
  4. Sieve...your common sense is wasted on this board. The idea of a QB playing great going 6 of 8 and throwing one pass in a game more than 10 yards as the standard of excellency is ridiculous. Wow...what a 10 yard pass to Wes Welker who did not have a defender less than 15 yards away from him on the play by the endzone. Trent was equal to Cassel's play that game and was actually good during that game passing three times as much as MC. Why the Bills did not choose to throw to the end zone at the end of the half, why they chose not to go no-huddle when they had the wind is beyond me. But that is not Trent's doing.
  5. I like ML a lot but leaving a game, if it's true does show a lack of respect and concern for your team. For all of the "we are a close team" stuff we hear about this team, a real close team does have their players injured/inactive etc...on the field with their teammates. It always happened in the "golden days." Very disappointing if true.....but not uncommon in today's athletes. It's cold, windy, and I am leaving town tomorrow is the attitude and concern.
  6. So since you are wrong you will not post anymore today or tomorrow?
  7. He gave the passing game a B not an A......Vic is fair and objective and has good perspective covering the rest of teh league. For those at the game completing 14 passes in that wind is probably a record for over games played in hurricane type conditions. Yes the wind died down from over 60mpf to 40mph by the second half. Not a game even conceivable to throw more than 10 yards but he did a decent job of it. We actually threw the ball 25 times....the Pats 8.
  8. To anyone objective! The two plays are not even comparable in circumstance, time of game, purpose of the play etc....
  9. Marv last year on his show said Jim Johnson is the best DC in the NFL. I would be happy with a guy like that who is innovative, takes risks and attacks. His defenses know how to play, are not vanilla. Look at that team yesterday and what they did to Romo and the Boys
  10. Motivates his players. Players play for him. The ONLY unit that has consistently performed as the best in the NFL. The ONLY unit that matches up against the Pats and is better than NE when we play them. More importantly I think is that he is innovative and takes risks and has some creativity. Bring in B April and I am fine with that. I think it works with the continuity thing as well.
  11. Would not care about the NFL. That would show how little they care about fans and history and really about the league in general. What other city would sell out all games and have the attendance we did after 9 no playoff seasons. Even in big markets attendance would be abysmal. By far the best fans in the league are right here! But the Bills are NOT going anywhere
  12. Everyone of us will.......it is part of being a Bills' fan. Right now people say they won't but come draft time, preseason etc...all of these emotions fade and we will ALL watch them again. It is part of being a fan. Look on the bright side...the Bills had their best offensive output since 2002. The defense was better this year too.
  13. Who does he even coach for now?
  14. He doesn't play well in bad weather.......how did the competing QBs play. Not better. How did he do vs Cutler? He beat him. He beat Miami last year in bad weather. He beat Washington last year in rainy 40 degree weather. The three horrible weather games (yesterday, Cleveland and Giants last year) he outplayed or played as well as the opposing QB (Eli Manning was horrendous last year in those conditions...Giants won by rushing for 300+yards). You have to look at the conditions and the play calling too people. Yes, he was terrible against San Fran and Cleveland. The jury is still out on him but he does possess some things that are the most valuable at QB, namely smarts, good decision making, and accuracy. He is just so inconsistent and the Bills do not have enough talent on defense or offense to compensate at all for a bad QB. When he has a QB rating of over 80 the Bills are 10-0. We will see with another year, but to criticize his play yesterday is pretty ridiculous. V Carucci gave him a B yesterday as he passed pretty well and accurately for 60mph winds.
  15. VOR is correct. They would be 5-11 i John Beck was their QB again. They did luck out that Favre agreed to come back and went to the Jets. Great turnaround for the Dolphins, but it was mostly having a QB now.
  16. Your right it was Trent Edwards fault. I saw him miss all those tackles on D. He got ran over all day by their RBs. His one mistake was a fumble from his blindside that took all of 1.5 sec to happen.
  17. DE Weakside LB TE....much more than a number 2 WR Add those three and a backup QB and you have a much better team.
  18. so it was Trent's job to drop the Royal pass.......my point is that Cassel handed the ball off....wow!!! He was 6 of 8 throwing the ball. Not impressive. They did not win b/c of their QB play. They won with there runs today and their defense. Very simple. Trent hits 60% of his passes in that weather 70mph gusts BTW and won in 10 degree weather last week so the cold/bad weather exciuse does not apply now. It is a bad team and a bad coach.
  19. We ran both of Henning and Gilbride out of town if people recall. I do agree there is no innovation or ingenuity to the playcalling. Put Evans in motion on those 4th down calls and hand the ball off to him....he can ery likely beat anyone around the corner for a yard.
  20. He outplayed Cassel in terms of passing today. Are you serious? Honestly? Saying Cassel did fine. Trent did VERY well considering the conditions if you were there today a game really should not even be played. Next time a hurricane runs through Houston go out and try and throw a football. The QB play today is NOT why we lost.
  21. The 90% reason Atlanta and Miami got turned around was QB play. Both of those teams starting QBs from last year are not even playing now. Coaching helps, but who do you want brought in? Face it, Cowher, Billick are NOT coming here as Ralph is not giving them complete control of the team and paying them 7-10M/year. So we are back at square one........again. Not the biggest fan of Jauron at all but I think a change is re-starting everything over again.
  22. It only matters about points
  23. Any objective observer would agree that Poz is a better player than Digeorgio. He probaly would be very good as a weak side LB, but we do not have a viable MLB alternative right now. Given that the Bills mostly play out of a cover 2 set he drops back in coverage a huge amount of the time. I like his effort and attitude and he will probably start to excel in the next two years. No question this defense is better than last year's D. So I will give Poz a grade of B on the season....good not great but good and has a very good future.
  24. I agree he should just leave it to his wife and let things play out and she can sell the team from there....that way they avoid enormous punitive taxes and headaches. They could even have a prearranged deal where she sells the team to Kelly's group after a couple years. It really is the cleanest and easiest way to go and keeps his legacy as a great owner and ambassador for the league.
  25. JP did not work out here for the same reason he will not work out anywhere.....he is just not good. If he was good it would show by now. He is a horrible decision maker (the most important part of being a QB), he is inaccurate, and he turns the ball over a lot. He will not succeed in the NFL....that is not any coaches fault it is just because he is a bad QB.
