  1. I bought one a while back...my cable dies 2 or 3 times a year. I also purchased one of those 9 buck antennas. They both work well enough.
  2. If somebody gave me $21M guaranteed, I'd pull up lame and have the checks forwarded to the Caymen Islands.
  3. I'll take door #3.
  4. At first blush, one would think that grabbing the upfront cash is the thing. However, the guaranteed cash gets slashed at, to be handed over to the protected class (fed-state-local gov't workers). My initial posts about these contracts were that one should grab the upfront $. Thinking more, I have little doubt but that guaranteed cash is considered as constructive receipt and that these kids will see half of that disappear via a 1040 ES form. Unless they want all of their assets frozen and get tossed into jail.
  5. Thanks for the link! Sad..but there it is.
  6. Last season, the Jets got into the playoffs thanks to one club that traditionally lays down once they have their spot sewn up, and a win against a team dripping with defensive injuries and an idiot HC and OC and a touted qb that has stunk for various reasons, and got to face the same jerks in the 1st round.
  7. It's always a roll of the dice... http://football.calsci.com/DefensiveLine3.html
  8. Another main theme of a 3-4 is having cbs be very physical at the LOS
  9. Stats are stats, etc. IIRC, they "led" the league on 3rd down rush yards allowed - something like 5.6 ypc. Run or pass, the opposition held the ball against them when it mattered.
  10. The poster you reference need not respond to a snap of your fingers and spend time digging about... Revis is a decent cb, but IMO was given a lot of latitude in the games I viewed. The NFL has a pecuniary interest in promoting "stars." I think he's being stupid, or easily led. There's already a lot of $ on his table, and NYJ will sweeten things. Given the uncertainty surrounding next season, he and his handlers want to toss the dice and go for the throat. Sounds like all-or-nothing.
  11. Were I a ref, he'd garner a flurry of flags.
  12. Yes. He's on trial, awaiting his metamorphosis.
  13. Hmm. GB spent a '08 #2 to buy his services, then waived him in Sept. '09 and signed him to the practice squad. There he sat un-plucked until the last week of November. BUF bit, and GB declined to match the offer, preferring to retain 7th rounder Matt Flynn. That's not a ringing endorsement. Brohm has a lot to prove.
  14. The short, or the long throws? Anyone attempting a long throw protected by BUF's rookie/injured OL last season, waiting for a receiver to motor down field, was split seconds away from being splattered. That would rattle my throws.
  15. His Majesty has arrived! http://www.wcpo.com/dpp/sports/football/be...s-in-cincinnati
  16. That someone else might have also posted that the bulk of NFL teams hover around 8 and 8, changing schemes or not. In any event - out of the money.
  17. According to the cited post, if you read it: ..."Then, after completing the first 300-yard run and following a five-minute rest period, the athlete must do it again."...
  18. That makes sense. Fitz has games under his belt, a decent W-L record with the club, they have more contract $ going his way. Brohm has no NFL track record. He only has the so-called "potential" as it stands. It's up to him to change opinions, if he can. I suspect he'll get the 3rd qb non-game day spot. Brown is a late-rounder. I'd be surprised if they put him on the PS, what with the OL in a rather thin state. If they do, he's safe. I can't think of a club that would pluck him and so have to put him on their active roster. All speculation, of course.
  19. Two 300 yard "shuttle" runs? In July with near record heat. A 300 lb.+ man. I'm surprised his aorta didn't explode out of his chest.
