That's right - the first bite might be ok, but the rest could be crap. I dislike this practice of having waiters or waitresses that say "Hi! I'm xxxx and I'll be your server!" Goody... And also, when you ask something, a fairly common response is "No problem!" When I hear that, I reply "Did you expect a problem? Is there something wrong with this food?" They are stunned into silence.

I've never had a Starbucks coffee. Being of an age, the thought of paying their prices for a cup 'o joe just...offends my sensibilities. And I like coffee black - I like the taste of coffee as is. If I want a sugar and fat bomb, I'll buy a milkshake instead. A couple of years ago, an older poster in one of the recurring beef and weck threads said that he could get one in his area...for something like 8 bucks. He balked - perfectly understandable to me.

A small senior coffee at McD is 50 cents.

Let's see...a SUV, parked illegally, with its' motor running and its' flashers on. The vehicle is loaded with forensic evidence. They were chuntering on about how the police cordoned things off so well. Then they showed footage of a wheeled robot with an arm approaching the side windows - with pedestrians strolling by.
