  1. Yeah. Let's give him the Antoine Smith treatment.
  2. Until some team offers another team the #1 overall pick for their LT, we will never know, will we?
  3. I would in a heartbeat. Then peddle it to some sap club willing to fork over a fistful of Day 1 picks this draft and next.
  4. Yep. Not looking up the schedules, I thought for a moment there was a week 16 JAX-NYJ contest. Ozymandius...hmm...anyone for Shelley?
  5. Merry Christmas! The Bills are not alone in getting run on. Poor Cincy finally squared up their sorry DT situation only to see their LB corps get slashed by injury. It's a sum of the parts. I think being injury-free is the key thing for any club. Poor Cleveland - they have had 10+ on IR every year since their 1999 resurretion. Plus, there are few teams that can boast of consistent front 7 strength even if all are healthy. The Bills having to go with 2 rookie safeties didn't help, as well as the Cover 2 type thing they ran. The Bills' DTs' get a lot of criticism - but AFAIK, the DEs' aren't noted as being big helpers in the stopping. Not sure - just my impression.
  6. Yup. Despite the current in vogue, drummed-into-the-head concept that there are always outside forces conspiring, always a poor victim, TH was just P-O'd and wanted out. Such is life...
  7. He was their #1 pick in 2005. I'd be surprised if they would toss him aside so soon.
  8. I see you take the long view...
  9. As we slice and dice the defense, schemes and personnel... The Bills' margins of loss after 15 games are: 2, 8, 33, 3, 22, 1, 3, 1. That's pretty good. Only two blow-outs - by 2 clubs that won their division with room to spare...
  10. ...too true. In the 1st 8 games, they went 3 - 5 and scored 124 points. In 7 games since, they are 4 and 3, scoring 173 points. Along the way, there were games with excellent running, and some with stellar pass plays. As well as having a play-off shot in week #15.
  11. Plenty of folks would have liked TH to stay, for the reasons you mention. Who knows for sure, but I doubt that the Bills' organization wanted him to leave. Regarding CAR...they were a strong club - which is conducive to amity among the troops. I know that Marvin Lewis tried very, very hard to convince TKO to stay, but he had had it, and who could blame him? Those things happen. My impression is that Henry dug his heels in, and that was that.
  12. IIRC, TH said that he no longer wanted to play for the Bills. That TD obtained a 3rd round pick for him was good. You can't keep a bad apple..
  13. You put it fat side down - after you've scored the membrane - so some of it melts and drips into the pan to enhance the drippings used to make gravy or sauce. Rump roast may or may not have the fat trimmed off as purchased, in any event. Overly-fat beef is a poor candidate for slicing for future use. If ever we meet, however, I would be happy to make you a Crisco on burnt toast sandwich. P.S. Is "no guts no glory" something like needing one of those distracting in-car navigation things so ya can drive more than one mile without getting lost?
  14. All in all, a fine game by Lindell...5/5 fgs, 2/2 xps. He'll be in the running for ST'er of the Week.
  15. Henry sure did. His running (5.4 ypc) controlled the clock and turned the Bill's lead in time of possession around.
  16. Dunno...TEN was hit with 11 penalties.
  17. Still...great field position throughout most of the game. And Mooreman has only punted once...now twice.
  18. Er, it's not my organization. Were it, or any NFL team, I would sell it as fast as I could. 10 million clear in my pocket would suit me, moreso the better. The NFL is not a heartfelt drama - I give it and it's participants some interest. But they are private concerns. Define your criminals...4 young, rich DUI offenders dripping with money, piss and vinegar like a bunch of NFL game attendees minus the millions of $$$? Let's have DUI checkpoints outside NFL stadiums if you are hot about criminals. The B'gals bought a college punk who broke into a dorm with a buddy - a supplemental draft choice. No crime adjuciated yet. 3rd rounder Frostee Rucker with pending charges for violence against others - if presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law rings a bell with you. Possibly not. The recent criminal, Delthea O'Neal - no prior record whatsoever - had a 0.1 alcohol level with a State conviction limit of 0.08. And caught not for erratic driving or causing an accident - just one of the 4 of 500+ that evening that the State chose to detain sans probable cause in a roadblock presuming guilt over innocence. Best thing for you to do is to write Congress, get the NFL controlled by the government masters, and kick that private control of the sports biz out. Your opinion about some recent or not-so-recent happenstances with the Chargers and Bears players would be appreciated..
  19. I bet they have rolled their eyes for years at the mere mention of your name, cursed God or luck that you still exist, and hoped against hope you would just never show up ever again, Christmas or not. But seemingly, they remain gracious beyond your ken...
  20. If you think that "Cincinnattica" is the only joke of an organization when it comes to the fact that the NFL league-wide hires and tolerates jackasses so we fans can get our vicarious rocks off and concurrently feed their till, you need to experience an epiphany...
  21. Good run-down on both players. I think Washington could be a tough, effective player if he has finally wised up and gets past the injury. I think he's wised up. Henry could be stellar if he had half a brain or half an ounce of gravel in his guts. No cure for that lack. But if it is so that he is persona non grata with CIN - likely - it makes for an interesting situation. He was their 3rd rounder in 2005. So he has zero FA options. Just a guess, but I could see him peddled for a 4th rounder this April with a 5th or 6th pick in '08. Who would bite is the question...
  22. You've been a member in good standing in this little electronic community here for a good number of years. I have always enjoyed reading your posts and comments. It's hard around the holidays, being away from the things we have depended upon. Merry Christmas, frogger. Tough times fade, and here's to better days for you, my friend... stuck
  23. Thanks for the heads-up! I'll watch for his play in the Gator Bowl.
  24. Um. There aren't many jobs like NFL work that can make one fabulously rich, let alone just regular rich, just because of genetically gained athletic talents. Regardless if you are black, white, plaid, or have 2, 3 or 4 dangling gonads, or may or may not have the brainpower of a stale cheeseburger or the social skills of a tick, if you will increase the gate and cash flow, you are the same as any other business asset and will be encouraged. NFL players are the same as actors. They all hire agents to get them profitable gigs according to the marketability of what they can offer the entertainment biz. Racism my eye...
