  1. Latent, now creeping guilt? Comes with age...
  2. B'gals might be in the market for a vet CB. '04 Pro Bowl Tory James doesn't have the fast legs anymore, after giving the CIN club good service. He's wise to the leagues' qbs and wrs though... so might get another hitch somewhere.
  3. A Communist politician sprinting to get in front of a parade? Whatta surprise... In other news, Air America child Al Franken has tossed his snot into the MN Senate race. Already called Coleman a "butt boy".
  4. Your theory has merit, but I could see a team tossing a lone 3rd for him - forget those 4 and 5 additionals - too costly then. The man the Bengals brought in under a what-if-Palmer-is-dead hypothesis, Anthony Wright, might get some FA action. He certainly did well in his pre-season outings. He's certainly available for bidders - B'gals recently re-signed last season's inactive Doug Johnson.
  5. Dunno. Couch got thrown in with some pretty poor clubs. There was an article in the local paper here, recounting the history of the resurrected Cleveland franchise's injury woes - over a 100 on IR since 1999. Plus little if any running game. Acquired FAs and 1st rounders dropping like flies. I don't think Couch would have become one of the few elite, but had the size and skills to do well outside of the CLE situations. Aside, some speculation about CLE and ND's Quinn. I think they would be foolish to give up on Charlie Frye...or Coach Crennel for that matter.
  6. For treating others to 100 posts in a day, you may select from: 1) A Gnat merit badge. 2) Being put on "Ignore" by 100 posters of your choice. 3) Automatic re-direction to rotoworld.
  7. So would I.
  8. You're having a good day today!
  9. Because of the considerably higher cost over an equivalent non-electric hybrid model, you have to drive them past 100K miles or so just to break even. They are trendy social statements - with a lot of sophistication that can bedevil and fail. In the case of the Prius, the battery pack warranty is 8 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. If it fails at 100,001 miles, prepare to shell out $4,500 or so for the replacements.
  10. I'd worry more about the battery pack's high voltage and amperage, of a magnitude that those circuits are protected as well as possible and festooned with caution warnings. However, in a crash, those protections can get violated. The leaking current can electrocute you. So I'm sorry, Prius/Accord/Lexus/Highlander/Escape/Vue hybrid folks...if you and your vehicle are all bent up...you are on your own.
  11. Not every 1st round CB pick shows up ready to take the league by storm...so the hole may remain.
  12. quote name='THE TOMCAT' date='Feb 12 2007, 10:22 PM' post='912621'] looking for one 2-3 yrs old. I was thinking of a Durango. Anyone with any suggestions or history with theirs? I was thinking about an extended cab truck but think an SUV is a better way to go. I have 2 boys (10,13) and coach baseball for 9-10, 11-12 yr olds so I need to be able to have room for kids and equiptment. I like to hunt as well. let me know what y'all think. Hmods - please leave this on the OT forum. At least for a couple days) Thanks Since you like to hunt - which I assume means off-road duty - my guess is that you would be looking at a used model with a 2-speed transfer case. That eliminates the Subarus, Ford Escape, Saturn Vue/Chevy Equinox/Buick Ranier, Toyota Highlander, the little Honda CR-V and Toyota Rav-4. The Hyundai Tuscon and Kia Sportage are now sans Xfer case; I'm not sure about earlier models. Same thing with Honda Pilot, Mitsubishi Montero and Outlander The Suzuki offerings are odd ducks with very few dealers out there... That leaves Jeep Liberty, Ford Explorer and its Mazda Tribute and Mercury Mariner cousins, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep Commander, Dodge Durango, Toyota 4Runner, Toyoya FJ (very poor visibility btw), Nissan Xterra, Chevy Trailblazer/GMC Envoy, as well as the big pricey jobs - the Suburban, Tahoe, Yukon, Expedition, Land Cruiser etc. There are myriad flavors of 4 wheel-drive, too...All-wheel with no transfer case, traditional part-time, Xfer case vehicles with full-time capability, etc. Jeep has a rather confusing mix. I'd recommend a used model with a limited-slip rear axle, also. Don't take anyone's word for it - insist on seeing the original window sticker and check the VIN #. A cooperative dealer should be able to get the vehicle's factory equippage from a VIN. Note that many manufacturers - notably the Japanese - require that you purchase a gussied-up model before you can get a locking rear axle. My choice in a used SUV for some off-road duty would be a 4WD Chevy Trailblazer with rear limited slip differential. The standard I-6 is a capable motor. here's a handy reference: http://consumerguideauto.howstuffworks.com...-car-search.htm
  13. Happy birthday!
  14. If you've seen a RFA play a bit, like what you see...why not? That's not being cheap.
  15. There's a new Wal-Mart not far from me. I find their selections to be limited, and their produce is terrible. Their packaged meats are in those foam tubs with the clear plastic that swells with the outgassing. About the only thing they sell that could fit in the category of health foods is...yogurt. Kroeger is the big one here - but their prices are consistently high, and they are big sellers of "select" grade meat. I usually go to Meijer's or local landmark, Jungle Jim's Jungle Jim's site: http://www.junglejims.com/index.cfm?fuseac...A3A19C34A216B8A
  16. Madison Avenue encourages people to view automobiles as penile extensions.
  17. Happy B'day, Dean!
  18. Quite so. At the start of last year, the Bill's strength of schedule was middle of the pack or lower. They ended up playing a lot of teams with a lot of victories, thanks in good measure to the surprising NYJ and TEN final season records, and the big win-loss numbers from CHI and SD. Advantageous last year, was that the '06 schedule dispersed the "on paper" tough opponents... NE - then MIA, NYJ, MIN - CHI then DET, NE - then bye, GB, IND - then HOU, JAX and SD, then NYJ, MIA, TEN, finishing up at BAL. Only one instance of playing big teams back-to-back. Luxurious. Also nice was that 4 of the last six games were at home - all that crabbing about attendance notwithstanding.
  19. You'll like it.
  20. No. Do you drive a Ford Taurus?
  21. I remember a 10-year vet who finished his career with a 3.6 YPC. Ended up with 10,441 yards, 68 rush tds. 10 td recptions. 9 playoff appearances, 4 Pro Bowls. Noted for getting the tough, important yards. Kept drives alive. What a bum that Eddie George was...
  22. Nor do I. There's enough bacterial infection already, why jump into a hot soup containing other people's bugs, fecal matter, and urine?
  23. I don't know if I'd include Deltha O'Neal in that statement. He's 2 years older than Nate. His stats are comparable to Clements, except O'Neal has been in 2 Pro Bowls, and has 30 ints compared to Nate's 23 ints. Clements has played 1 less season, but more games...he's been remarkably injury-free, whereas O'Neal had ankle problems in '04 and a shoulder injury in '06 that he recovered from.
  24. Bold prediction, considering Baxter blew out both his knees or some such in the same, unlucky play last season...
