Top 50 FA from CBS sportsline.

That's no surprise to those who have watched him play a lot. Myself and others here think he may well end up playing LT. -
Unless they sign 'em and then characterize him as a "road grader" ala Bennie A.

Hmm...it's a bit over 11 hours since free agents and their representation can speak with other clubs.

Thanks for the info. Hard to keep track...

Yep. 95+%of NFL players are decent people. Most local newspapers, if they are in shouting distance of an NFL city - or are one, - have several articles every year about this or that player doing good works.

Is GB interested in getting rid of Green ?

B'gals release OLB Brian Simmons
stuckincincy replied to stuckincincy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hold a High Tribunal...there surely are blameless, pristine fellows like Bob Sanders out there to give example. Like Manning, too, according to your own reporting. What punishment do you deem necessary for the Cincinnati franchise? The league awaits your judgment. A 43-man roster? A 44-man roster for SD? A year of reflection in Tibet with the Dali Lama for Boy Peyton? Several clubs must sit out the season? You express high dudgeon. Provide solutions...be that "proactive" guy... -
Good point. Buying up WMG's contract would be no big penalty, IIRC AFAIK, the draft pool $ for a team is a fixed, predictable cost. Perhaps getting a pick makes best financial sense. CIN getting rid of LB Simmons was a surprise assuming it was a sure thing that he doesn't have lingering injury - the subsequent, more in-depth n'paper article said that the team dumped him to free up $ for re-signing the less-expensive RFA's and wanted FA's. Might be - I've learned to be skeptical about B'gal $$$ utterances, though. This new CBA and what on the surface seems to be a big capitulation - save 2 owners - to the union is a worrisome thing. I'm getting some feelings like when I lived in Pgh, when the union demands killed big steel. We certainly see that the NFL is scrambling after the last possible penny these days, and irritating a bunch of customers because of that. I wonder if the process of killing the golden goose is afoot...

Perhaps the salutary fact that rappers and their acolytes have a bent toward murdering each other contributes in some small way. At least, one could hope.

Dance Copyright Enforced by DMCA

What does "takedown notice" mean? Seems to me that most of not all recent popular dance amounts to variations on a "dry hump" theme... -
The much-maligned PSU running back Ki-Jana Carter in his brief career was one of those touchdown-per-carry missiles. Fine blocker and hands, too. Too bad about his bad injury luck...he likely would have been a back of note. That the B'gals traded and then drafted him #1 overall in 1995 - with a healthy and very good Garrison Hurst on the team, and bypassing tackle Tony Bosilli - was just another sad chapter in their 10 year-long wander in the desert. The '90's B'gals along with the AZ Cards provided the baseline regarding how to not staff and operate a club.

Who is the best GM in the NFL??
stuckincincy replied to JuanGuzman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It surely does. Media eats it up. And plenty of ready customers to sniggle over that. The B'gal's player offenses against society are largely drunk driving by young men - can you imagine a sobriety checkpoint after the crowd empties out after any NFL game? To the B'gals beyond the boozing - a dismissed gun brandishment charge and giving liquor to a minor (the precious minor there was charged with false allegation of rape, and was recently arraigned for murdering one of her Johns), one with a bag of dope, one rookie who stole a roommate's stereo, and but one alleged crime of violence - 3rd round pick DE Frostee Rucker and pending domestic violence charges dating back before he was drafted. The entertainment biz - which the NFL certainly is - is lime-lighted for their faux pax. I'm not sure they exceed general society... -
I heard on the radio that the general region's airports are a mess - notably that big hub, Chicago's O'Hare.

I'd guess it's the fentanyl and valium infusion. Just a guess... Keep away from things like strawberries with their little seeds, nuts, other roughage for a few days. Treat yourself to plain pancakes and syrup and fried eggs. A bit more gatorade, and plenty of water.

B'gals release OLB Brian Simmons
stuckincincy replied to stuckincincy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Simmons - a "high character" player, has always been a decent performer, although his MLB positioning has been limited - injury fill-in, or nobody else better on the squad - and then moving there last season because 2005 rookie Odell Thurman was duly disciplined by the league. It was a reasonable move. He's been a smart player who is adept at recognizing offensive sets and positioning a defense, which are assets at MLB. He was the second of two 1st rounders in 1998 - #17 overall after Spikes at #13 overall. His legs and range remain decent. But there has to be concern about his missing several games this season with neck injury. He was never especially injury-prone throughout his tenure, though. Assuming good health and reasonable price, he should get consideration from several teams - Bills included. -

Make some Whirly-Pop popcorn when you arrive home! That popcorn maker you recommended to me a few years ago remains one of the best recommendations I've ever got.

Who is the best GM in the NFL??

Add TEN's GM to the worst list for that one-man crime wave Pac-Man Jones, PIT for Jerry Porter's pit bulls, MIN for the boat trip, SD for their 9 individuals and their various shootings, and CHI for their exemplary citizen Tank Johnson. Throw in SEA for Ken Hamlin. -

I'd go with Polian, then the Eagles and Pats GMs. Polian has done a fine job, keeping the Colts successful over a long period of time while having to work around Manning's very large chunk of the salary pie.
