  4. Do you have a white meat - dark meat preference?
  5. According to the school free lunch program $$$ taken out of my taxes, I should be able to feed at least a hundred. Unless it's summer time. The schools around here still offer the free food, but these children declared hungry by the Federal and State governments do not show up for their free food, until school starts in the fall. I suppose the cannibals would be elsewhere, too. Amazing, eh?
  6. Happy B'day gent, gent and gent, gent, gent!
  7. Class, this is an example of the literary style called "Chickensh*t"...
  8. Perhaps this season, they will astound one and all by blitzing...a...bit...more. Spice it up a bit, eh?
  9. Caleb Miller was the B'gals 3rd rounder in '04. He's a good LB, and a "playmaker" - when healthy. He went on IR early last season, and also was hobbled in '05. AFAIK, he hasn't been offered a contract for the upcoming season. Numbers: http://www.nfl.com/players/calebmiller/profile?id=MIL154181 Lemar Mitchell was acquired late August. He looked decent - a canny vet. But in game four, he was injured - achilles tendon tear IIRC.
  10. A plus. Welker w/ MIA in '06: 67 receptions, 33 1st downs, 2 starts in 16 games. QB's were Harrington, 11 games, McNabb, 4 and Lemon 1. MIA certainly spread the ball around that season - Chambers caught 59, Booker, 55, and McMichael 62.
  11. See? That Honor Roll by quota and 20 Valedictorians per High School pays dividends.
  12. I guess it depends on what "deepest" means. I suppose...the 30th or so ranked defense qualifies as one of the "deepest"...
  13. CIN does just that within their division. Unless they neutralize and smack around PIT's Polamau and BAL's Lewis, they have little chance of a win. When faced with an exceptional player, you have to take those chances. Welker...112 receptions...65 1st downs. Impressive.
  14. I suppose I could step outside and squirt some natural nitrates on the crocus that have sprouted...
  15. It's so, that the NE* wide-outs pull coverage. Every team does that when they run a 3 WR set. IMO, Walker does a great job getting off the line and running to the middle. Brady scans and reliably knows that Welker will be there. In a 1st-down gaining spot. Then Welker usually falls down. Mission accomplished. - he's not going to risk a fumble or getting killed. Were I a DC, I'd take the risk and shadow Welker, and repeatedly plant him - hard. Yep - you may be beat, but there is something to be said for saying this guy isn't going to beat me. That can transfer over th the next meeting...
  16. CIN had serious concerns about his knee. Any deal was subject to a physical. Check it out.

  18. Yup. They should have left the bench, dropped the gloves and screamed down the ice.
  19. "The committee is proposing to include field goals in instant replay review, give teams the option of deferring to receive the ball in the second half on the coin toss." Currently, the winner of the toss has the option to receive, or defend a goal at the start of the game. This proposed change refers to the 2nd half - and the loser of the toss. I always thought it was the loser's choice to receive or kick off in the 2nd half; evidently not. However...when the wind direction will be a factor, I shake my head when - almost all teams all the time that win the toss - opt to receive the ball in the 1st half, allowing the loser to pick the wind. If I won the toss, I'd gladly give up an initial possession and the loser's 2nd half possession to get the wind at my back in the 4th quarter. The best outcome when the wind howls in one predominant direction, is to lose the toss, and see the toss winner elect to receive the ball. The toss loser gets to have the wind at their back in the 4th, and also gets the KO in the 3rd.
  20. From the Cincinnati Enquirer 03/27/08: http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/art...PT02/803270329/
