AKG Museum https://buffaloakg.org/ Buffalo Zoo https://buffalozoo.org/ Pierce Arrow auto museum https://www.pierce-arrow.com/ Buffalo waterfront & naval park https://buffalowaterfront.com/ Forgotten Buffalo tours happen infrequently but if they have one when you're here, it might be worth taking it in. About four hours, it's a pub crawl with food at some of Buffalo's family taverns. http://www.forgottenbuffalo.com/

The NFL can opt out of it's current TV deals in 2029

My old boss had a saying: "Pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered." The NFL sure is convinced their gravy train can never derail. But what about the rest of the economy? -

UB ladies basketball “title run”
PromoTheRobot replied to AlCowlingsTaxiService's topic in Off the Wall
I'm an alum and follow the Bulls. ESPN+ gets you all the games. This season for the women has been amazing. 29 wins ties their record. Chelia Watson and Nolani Cornfield are two of the most exciting players to watch. This title game, played at UB Saturday at 5, is the deepest postseason run for any local school since Bona with Bob Lanier made the NCAA final four in 1970. As for football, that actually makes money and funds the other non-revenue programs. Unless UB basketball could get into a major conference like the Big East, losing football would be suicide. Don't forget UB earns a million or more playing power conference teams. This year they open at Minnesota. But there's no reason why local folks can't pass the hat and fund the women's program. Women's basketball at UB has been very good for a long time with Becky Burke and Felicia Legette-Jack before her. You can have a nationally ranked program for less than what a men's program would take. If you live in WNY consider going to the game. Saturday 5pm at Alumni Arena. Tickets are cheap and parking is free. Otherwise the game will be televised in CBS Sports Network. -
Bills push to host a future NFL Draft.

Figure that a good percentage of folks, 40-50%, will drive in and drive out the same day. Most people only come out for the 1st round. I'm more worried about parking and traffic control. The area is a zoo on game days with only 71,000 attending. What happens when it's 4X that number? They better come up with a satellite parking plan with shuttle buses. Heck, there's a rarely used rail line nearby. -
UB women made the WNHIT final vs Troy. Playing at UB Saturday. If you live around Buffalo you should go.

ECC is downsizing. Closing the South campus has been suggested. Bills could certainly use the land. I never said 12 restaurants. Just two sit downs, maybe some walk ups, have a food truck area on game days. -

You're going to tear down the old stadium, plus there's talk of eliminating ECC South. That's more than enough room for extra parking and a small-ish "Patriot Place" development. Two hotels, a couple of restaurants, a music venue and you really have something. -
Just make sure to draft Shawn Dolac.

Then why the #### did they fight so hard to keep the stadium in OP? For years they made sure the only development the stadium area ever saw was a Tim Hortons and a 7-11. Building up that area isn't going to ruin their precious little town, the main part of which is several miles to the east. -

I have "DABILLS" in NH. It's an homage to "Da Bears" on SNL.

Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)

That's too bad but I get why. I kind of hoped they would keep the lower bowl for high school, college, soccer, etc, but you don't need two stadiums in one spot. -

PSL Pricing/Seat Selection Discussion
PromoTheRobot replied to Spiderweb's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Sabres are expected to keep up with the rest of the NHL. The league doesn't want it's franchises charging AHL prices, no matter how bad they are. But like I said, they dropped prices on their lowest priced season ticket to $23/game next year. And they're didn't raise prices to anyone who renewed. Probably after the Bills turn back into pumpkins, when they can't find the next Josh Allen. But this franchise has always seems to luck out at the right time. Remember back in 1998 when they added 100 luxury boxes that had to sell or else the team suggested they could move? Along comes Doug Flutie to bring the excitement back to the Bills and all those boxes sold. The new Highmark is literally the house Josh Allen built. -
Hats off to the UB women who came back on Big Ten Rutgers and advance to the WNIT "Fab Four." Deepest postseason run for any WNY school in some time

Exactly. But they have your money. I've heard they are tearing down and filling in the old stadium. But then I heard they might keep the lower bowl intact to use for events. 🤷♂️ I figure they will bus players across the street. The last thing you need is for Josh Allen to get hit by some yahoo while crossing Abbott. -

I knew PSLs were in the Bills future and I stashed money to save up for them. $2500 is the ballpark of what I expected. But my larger concern in the cost of the tickets. Will I be paying a thousand more each year for those?
