No matter who the goalie is, the Sabres stand around and watch other players skate around them. Dominic Hasek would suck with these guys playing in front of him. This is a red herring. First, "so much cap space" was $7MM this year. There are teams that have even more space available. Second, it's not like Adams didn't try to sign some expensive players. Ehlers and Necas are two this offseason. Both said no. So is the idea to just spend that cap on anybody? Find some $4MM guy and pay him $10MM just to make a point?

Are you the kind of fan who counts winning quarters? Bottom line, our offense had the chance to win. The defense gave Josh the ball with enough time to win the game. You can run away from that fact all you want. It doesn't change reality. Refs, injuries, Tay Tay, it's always something with us.

WRONG! 29 is not "good enough." You needed 3 more. You failed. Nothing that happened before Josh getting the ball matters. You had the game in your hands and you fell short. End of story.
