  1. Rich was offered the Expos for $190MM and turned them down. That whole MLB Buffalo push was just to get the stadium built.
  2. Even the Toronto Raptors have trouble getting and keeping top talent. Successful? They draw some of the smallest crowds in MLB. They've only been competitive recently and they are about to leave town over the stadium situation. We'll never know because the NBA isn't coming to Buffalo in a million years. Buffalo is fortunate to have 2 major league franchises being such a small market. Getting back to the original topic, along with the Bills and Sabres, you also have Bandits indoor lacrosse and Bisons minor league baseball. There's a push to bring a USL-level 1 soccer team to Buffalo, along with building a new stadium downtown. How much money will be left for indoor football?
  3. Seriously. A perfect use for that soccer stadium sitting empty. This will never happen. Buffalo can't support any more major sports, especially one with no salary cap like MLB.
  4. For those who don't remember, the Destroyers were an Arena Football League team that played five seasons in Buffalo (1999-2003) before moving to Columbus. They were never that good. 6-8 was their best year. But now two former Bills greats, Stevie Johnson and Fred Jackson, want to bring an Indoor Football League (IFL) franchise to Buffalo and revive that Destroyers name. https://www.wivb.com/sports/former-bills-stevie-johnson-fred-jackson-working-to-bring-arena-football-team-to-buffalo/ I've been to a few indoor games and I really can't get into it. It just doesn't feel like football to me. I'd rather see a UFL spring team in Buffalo. What do you think?
  5. Kinder Bueno is awfully good.
  6. Where's Shaun Dolac?
  7. And two byes, and probably games on Wednesday and/or Tuesday.
  8. It'll be a real shame when we fire everyone.
  9. He was an idiot then. What changed?
  10. Overnight ratings show 5% drop from last year. https://www.emarketer.com/content/super-bowl-deliver-on-ratings--ads--streaming
  11. Patty's "thousand-yard stare" was him realizing the refs weren't going to bail him out. I only recall seeing Taylor once. Probably because her boyfriend did squat last night.
  12. Let's be honest. We've seen Mahomes get rocked in games before. What was different in last night's Super Bowl? The officials didn't ride to the Chiefs rescue. (They did once with the shaky OPI call in Q1, but gave the Eagles a makeup call.) What happened to the mysterious defensive holding calls, roughing the passer calls, defensive PI calls? Throw a few of those in last night and do we have a different game? Or did Roger get on the special red phone last night and told the refs Mahomes was no longer "made"? There is a story behind this but I doubt anyone in sports media wants to dig into it.
  13. It's not like the Bills never address the D-line. They just don't hit, or in the case of Von Miller, get injured and become useless.
  14. I didn't think any ads stood out for being great. A few were awful like Martha Stewart for Skechers. Dreadful CGI job.
  15. I turned the game off. Did I miss Worthy being named game MVP for his two garbage time TDs?
  16. Another forgotten tidbit: the Bills had a ton of dead cap. Kind of hard to sign difference makers for the vet minimum.
  17. I think we would have scored a TD or two in the first half. We would not have beaten the Eagles. You forget the Ravens gave us three turnovers and dropped crucial passes. That tipped the game.
  18. Andy Reid got outcoached.
  19. Eagles better suck it up for the next two minutes
  20. So @Einstein, Worthy SB MVP?
  21. Only 7 weeks till UFL, baby.
