  1. ...Someone besides Buffalo. Buffalo has the 13th pick.
  2. Why would you another team help whho you might be facing in the playoffs? There is a good chance that the difference between the Jag's 2nd and the Titan's 3rd could be 5-15 picks. I think it is a no brainer, say no to the Jag's offer of a 2nd and take the Titan's 3rd.
  3. Actually Jack had 18 major wins.
  4. NFL--Ralph Wilson (I wouldn't have the Bills without him) MLB--Ted Williams NBA--Wilt Chamberlain NHL--Bobby Ohr Tennis--?? Golf--Jack Nichlaus Wrestling (NCAA/Olympic)--?? NASCAR--Junior Johnson Track and Field--Jesse Owens Swimming--Mark Spitz
  5. No I didn't. I think Shaud will be the starter if McGahee can't. Lee will get carries no mater who starts but he will not be our feature back.
  6. Miami gave up a 3rd for Lamar Gordan last year, and Henry is 10 times the back that Gordan is. As many here have tried to described you cannot compare past trades that were done with trades being proposed right now. There are too many variables to list which affect a given trade. If a trade doesn't get done now Henry's value could go up or down from a 3rd. If a lot of starting RBs get serious injuries in training camp Henry's value will skyrocket. If we we see almost no injuries his value will go down. I was one of the "those people" that said we should keep Henry as a back up for the season. At $1.2 million I thought it was a good insurance policy if something happens to McGahee. How good will a 3rd round pick look if we have Shaud as the feature back in our running game? If Henry is gone by Monday I hope we use that cap space to extend Clements.
  7. In the future do they release more seats that were being held for season ticket purchases? If so does anyone know when?
  8. I just traded in this old POS for this babe magnet.
  9. A fine example of why sometimes pre-emptive natural selection should be applied to the human race. Cut his balls off.
  10. The lack of understanding about the skill of poker does not amaze me. These "other guys" are all highly skilled players. This isn't a group of guys who get together every Friday night to play a game. These guys play thousands of hands per week. They have also spents hundreds or thousands of hours studying the game. Even an average poker player is now a skilled player. A good comparison with sports would be the US Open in golf. Anyone can try to make the cut in the Open. Every year numerous amateurs do make the cut while many pros don't. Over the long haul the PGA pros would consistently beat these amateurs. The WSOP is exactly the same way.
  11. I am well versed on your reasoning that we will get nothing better than a 4th or 5th for Henry (that is if we don't cut him), but if a deal were made in the next few days do you really think that TD would do it for less than a 3rd? We have 3 teams sniffing around and training camp hasn't even started.
  12. The report has a breakdown of each team and key players. Willis McGahee (First Round): McGahee's brilliance in the second half of '04 has him vaulting fantasy favorites such as Shaun Alexander and Priest Holmes into the second draft slot. He scored 13 touchdowns and racked up 1,058 yards in just 11 starts last year. Reports have him working out like a madman this offseason in his quest to join the game's elite class.

  15. MMMMMM Beer! I once heard that Buffalo also has more bars per capita than any other city. linky BEER AND BLING: TODAY’S BEER DRINKERS ARE MORE LIKELY TO BE 21-34 AND AFFLUENT, ACCORDING TO SCARBOROUGH RESEARCH Milwaukee top local U.S. market for beer drinkers; Salt Lake City, UT consumers least likely to have a cold, frosty one NEW YORK ( July 12, 2005) – Scarborough Research, the leading market research firm for identifying the shopping, media and lifestyle patterns of adults in the United States, released an analysis of beer consumers (ages 21+), which indicates that today’s beer drinkers are more likely to be between the ages of 21-34 and affluent. According to the Scarborough analysis, 44 percent of U.S. adults ages 21 and older drank beer during the past month. These beer consumers* include more than half (51 percent) of all 21-34 year-olds. Beer drinkers are 17 percent more likely than all consumers to be in this age group. They also tend to have higher incomes. Today’s beer drinkers are 23 percent more likely than all consumers to have an annual household income of $100k+. “Today’s beer marketers are fighting for their share against many other products – from wine to spirits. The information in the Scarborough analysis provides a key insight into the lives of today’s beer drinkers,” said Alisa Joseph, vice president, advertiser marketing services, Scarborough Research. “Marketers and brewers can tap into this 21-34 year-old affluence through niche products which give today’s beer drinker a feeling of exclusivity.” With affluence comes other high-end spending habits. Today’s beer drinkers are 17 percent more likely than all consumers to plan to buy new/lease a luxury vehicle in the next 12 months. They are 12 percent more likely to have a home with a market value of more than $500k. Scarborough’s analysis reveals that Milwaukee is the top local market for beer drinkers, as more than half (54 percent) of consumers 21+ there drank any beer during the past month. The Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul) and Denver follow with 53 percent and 51 percent, respectively. At the bottom of the list are Salt Lake City, UT (23 percent of consumers 21+ drank any beer during the past 30 days), Charleston, WV (27 percent), Knoxville, TN (28 percent), and Roanoke, VA (29 percent). Scarborough Local Market Analysis: Beer Drinkers* Milwaukee, WI 54% Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN 53% Denver, CO 51% St. Louis, MO 50% Buffalo, NY 50% Albany/Schenectady/Troy, NY 50% Boston, MA 50% * Beer Consumers/ Drinkers: Consumers 21+ who consumed any alcoholic or non-alcoholic beer during the past month.
  16. I asked the magic 8 ball if Losman was the better pickup for the Bills and it said, "Ask again later". I quess we'll just have to wait and see how it plays out. Personally I like the fact that JP has a year under his belt learning the offense. This is a HUGE advantage over Rodgers. The biggest reason I would prefer Losman over Rodgers is that I don't think I could have lived through another year with Bledsoe as the QB.
  17. ...currency exchange calculator?
  18. Sounds like a case of the Mondays.
  19. Thanks for the heads up. Rumor has it that he is going to break the news that several teams have an interest in acquiring Henry but that TD wants a 3rd round pick that is conditional to a 2nd. And we should have an idea of what will happen with Henry by the middle of August.
  20. This could be Losman's biggest downside this year. Just look at Vick or McNabb's first few seasons, they quickly left the protection of the pocket at the first sign of trouble. There is nothing wrong with that if they were still looking for receivers but they usually tucked and ran. It is tough reading defenses at full speed. McNabb has greatly improved, Vick took 49 sacks last year. I hope JP can fall somewhere in between them.
  21. Unless of course you play in the NFC.
  22. If they don't bump him at the line it definately will be Parrish versus the safies.
  23. Well the casualty part was right.
  24. I saw the same glass at Consumer beverages in Hamburg about 2 months ago.
  25. YEAH! And everybody SHOUTS out there!
