8th in points allowed is no slouch. The Bills were 1st in turnovers, 2nd in yards allowed and tied for 3rd in sacks. All numbers that should list them in anyones top 5. That being said, this was a poll, and big city folk are homers just like us small city folk. So I'm not surprised that the Jets and Eagles made that list.

I've noticed that everyone thought that the Sabres were going to be able to contend with the league now that there is a salary cap. The problem is that the Sabres claimed they were losing money when they had a payroll in the mid 30s. If the Sabres come close to 35-38 million for their payroll this year I will be shocked. They will spend 25-28 million and try to contend as a 2nd tier team. They will continue trying to work with promising young players, that is until those promising players become vets , then they'll be traded away.

Indy 11.5 - If Indy goes to 11 flat I'd take an Over. N.E. 10.5 - Under - Mark my words NE win 9 or 10 this year. They will miss OC and DC. Carolina 9.5 - Over - Might be the surprise Cinderella team of the NFC. Buffalo - 8 - Over - I like the flat 8. A push or better is likely. Miami 6 - Under - A QB disaster in the making.

Next thing you know he'll be selling his best player to produce a Broadway musical.

Quite Frankly, Steven A. Smith is not popular

But he has Tom Brady and that is all he needs... I have never seen the show but I hope it goes off the air soon, then I don't have to listen to anymore commercials for his show. -
I said that slot machines account for the majority of a casinos profit, usually 75% of all gaming revenues. I said this in reference to the poster who said we are only getting a cut of the slots. You responded with, "It's 8% off of slot revenue currently.". I took that as you thought slots only account for 8% of revenue. If you meant it as the state taxes them 8% then you are wrong. From what I've been able to pull off web searches the state actually gets about 25% of the net income. Last year the Seneca Gaming Corporation reported a net income of 84.7 million dollars from its Niagara Falls and Salamanca casinos in 2004. Niagara Falls received approximately $12.5 million last year as their share. That would be a welcome boost to Buffalo and Erie County. I would also suspect Buffalo casinos would make even more than Niagra and Salamanca.

I think what you're quoting is an expected profit of all slot machine drops is 8%. I believe the industry average of slot machine income as a % of revenue of all gaming revenue is closer to 75 - 80 %. Big Difference! You don't think that all those slot machines covering the majority of any casino floor are there because they like old ladies do you?

Slot machines account for the majority of a casinos profit. If I recall correctly the Casinos handed over $35 - 70 million in "benefits" last year in "slot benefits".

An educated statement completely lacking in naiveté. -
Tonights practice is open only to premium seat holders. Lucky me, my parents are club seat holders and they gave me their tickets for tonights practice. It will be my first time I've been to a training camp...I'm psyched!

A shot to the head is entirely too lenient to SAS, I have never seen the show but the commercials alone make me want to shot myself in the head. Perhaps I've missed something but what is it you want a vote for?

Fantasy Football (get your fixing for it here)

QB, QB, WR, WR, RB, RB, TE, W/T, W/R, K, DEF, D, D, DB, DB, DL, DL, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN I'm pretty sure you only had 4 last year. You have 17 positions to fill. Each week there are 4 teams with byes, and lets assume 1 injured player per week(short term injury). That means you have to assume you will lose the use of 15% of your players each week. Keep in mind that is with 4 benches and 1 injury. Don't get me wrong I liked the league last year, I just found that I was too often given a choice between waiving one of my better players or leaving a slot blank due to this. That being said I'm still in and I WILL enjoy it and this will be the only time I open my yap about it. EDIT: I wrote my original post before I counted the number of BNs you had this year. -

I played in your league last year and I had one major point of concern of playing again this year. You have included defensive positions. I like playing with the defensive positions but I found it very difficult to field an entire team with the limited benches. I usually had to waive a good player or leave a slot open for much of the season. Sometimes this was due to injury, sometimes due to a bye week, or sometimes both. Can we expand the number of benched players we have? -

Which makes him even skinnier. I've seen Parrish live in Miami for several Cane games and that kid has the speed, the hands and the heart to be an excellent NFL player. I have also seen him take some serious shots and he has always withstood the punishment.

Thank you I'm in!!! I will be going to camp, I have tickets for the night practice on the 10th and hopefully I'll be able to make it to a few day practices. Friday the 5th at 8pm has been completely cleared for my schedule! I can't wait to see that! -
That is the same thing I thought when I read the thread title. I'm getting older a LOT faster than I thought. I was always into groups like the Ramones, Ministry, Butthole Surfers, Rage Against the Machine...etc... I don't have any Dead or Phish songs in my collection, but I would go to see either one whenever I had a chance to. There was something electric and exciting about Dead and Phish shows. I'm sure that sometimes it did have something to do with Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds or cow dropping growths (dam those were good times...I think ), but dam those were some good times.

OK I still can't get the downloads. I'm at my parents and I'm not familiar with their computer, could I possibly need some software to view this? What format is this in? I feel like the only one who doesn't get the joke. Help me out here people, I need my training camp fix! When I click on the link it says downloading and then says done but I only get a small logo of sorts in the upper left hand corner. -
The Heat just got scarry good. No wonder Riley was talking about making a comeback to coaching. Linky MIAMI -- In the largest trade in NBA history, Antoine Walker was dealt from Boston to Miami on Tuesday night in a transaction involving five teams and 13 players. The Heat also acquired point guard Jason Williams and small forward James Posey from Memphis, while the Grizzlies received guard Eddie Jones from the Heat. The New Orleans Hornets and Utah Jazz were also involved in the deal. The trade was larger than a 12-player, four-team deal in 2000 involving Patrick Ewing that had been the biggest in league history. Miami also received Andre Emmett from Memphis and the draft rights to Roberto Duenas from the Hornets; Utah received Greg Ostertag from Memphis; Boston picked up Curtis Borchardt from Utah and a package -- Qyntel Woods, the draft rights to Albert Miralles, two second-round draft picks and cash -- from Miami; New Orleans acquired Rasual Butler from Miami and Kirk Snyder from Utah; and the Grizzlies received guard Raul Lopez from the Jazz.

I can't help but think of Smithers running out and making sure Mr. Burns ball was in the hole. Kim Jong-il is "excellent"
