The last I heard the cap will be in place in the new CBA. The biggest holdup of getting the new CBA done is revenue sharing between teams. I believe TV revenue will determine the salary cap still, but the smaller market owners want to share in larger markets marketing revenues. edit: They can't get a CBA done until everyone can agree to what revenues the players get a % of.

I will also buy 2 shares of Seattle at $12. Is there any way to exit a share of a team if there are still shares available publicly?

I hope we can do that 6 times next week. It would be nice to see McGahee with a 70 + yard TD run too. While I'm at it, I also hope we get a return for a TD too!

He is not allowed to even agree to a pay cut of more than 10% per the current collective bargaining agreement. (I think that is the right %) If he moves to LG permantently the only way to lower his salary is a long term extention with some sort of signing bonus.

Therein is the biggest problem. The Pats definitely should not have won that game....BUT they did! I'm a bigger homer than most on this site, but even I have to admit that our chances to win this division, thus make the playoffs, are slim to none. Therefor I have to think that starting JP now is probably the wise move. That being said....I really hope that the Bills start Holcomb, because that tells me that the team has not given up on themselves as quickly as we fans have given up them! I want to watch a team that does EVERYTHING it can to WIN NOW! Fug next year! If this team could rise to the occasion and play with some heart....who knows....

I talked to a few friends in Broward County. They said gas if you can find it is $5 a gallon, max 4 gallons can be bought at once. There is usually a 3-4 hour wait. No ice anywhere. FPL (electric) is saying most electric will be back by Nov. 22nd....ugggghhhh! There are no lights at intersections and many wires, trees and poles are still in roads. The driving is very dangerous, especially after dark. Most people didn't have their cell phones start working until today. Good luck to all affected by Wilma. I hope your lives are brought back to normal soon!!

It's rare in the NFL to see more than a 2 TD spread. Although we did have 1 last week, IND -16 against HOU. College on the other hand has a 30+ point spread almost weekly. Friday marked the 16th anniversary of Houston's 95-21 victory over SMU. What's still notable about that game is that the Cougars were favored by 59 points. It was considered then to be the biggest point spread in college football history. It still is. I couldn't find the NFLs biggest spread.

You're talking about in the 1st half right? It has been VERY frustrating watching this defense. The one area I felt best about going into this season. The inability for either the defense OR the offense to make adjustments has been causing me to drink copious amounts of beer in the 2nd half of all our games.
