  1. I'm just bitter. I'm allowed to lash back. It's not personal, I know the Pats would beat the Bills in Foxboro.
  2. You're right - it was an embarrasing loss. Dreadful. The Patriots are still 12-2. The dye hasn't been cast on this season yet.
  3. Every Patriot fan on this board is PRAYING this happens. Meeting the Bills would be the next best thing to a bye.
  4. No, we beat the Bills twice.
  5. In the interest of equal time, I prefer this one.
  6. Hey, I've been there before with QB breakdowns. Do the names Hugh Millen, Jeff Carlson, Marc Wilson, Tommy Hodson, and Tony Eason mean anything to you? I need to call you out on this one: Whoa, there Nellie. This "team that is so good" is 8-6 and on the outside looking in at the playoffs right now. Let's not get carried away just yet. The QB (among others) will still have to make plays to get in the playoffs. [/bitterness and bile]
  7. I don't think this loss can be pinned on Weis. The Patriots led 28-17 with 4:10 left - you HAVE to win that game if you're the Patriots... you just have to. Piss-poor execution and horrific decision-making (Brady, Harrison, etc) led to an uncharacteristic loss. I'm not sure about "cocky" passing decisions you speak of (I imagine you're referring to the pass from his ass last week). Last night, TB made awful decisions, but historically, his decision-making is very good. I think the 'cocky' label comes from your differing perception of him. I wouldn't characterize Brady as cocky - but consider the source. I'm torn as to what this loss means to New England. As I said earlier in the thread, teams that win Super Bowls don't lose that game... but even Mariano Rivera and Keith Foulke blow one from time to time. The proof will be next Sunday in the Meadowlands to see if the Pats can recover from just a ballcrushing loss. A championship-caliber team will bounce back.
  8. Yes, they lost. They're 12-2. Having said that, teams that win Super Bowls don't lose games like the Patriots did last night. I said it last night, and I'll say it again: Even Aaron Brooks was cringing at Brady's awful decision making.
  9. I didn't make any picks this week. I can't answer for my alter-ego.
  10. Fair point, - my friends and I agreed with Al Michaels when he made the same point on the broadcast. The Patriots played like dog****, got an 11 point lead, and figured the Dolphins would roll over. Miami deserves a tip of the cap for playing hard. I can only hope the Pats will learn their lesson like they did in Buffalo and Washington last year. Off to bed, 6am comes early. I can take my heat in the morning. 'Night all.
  11. This is a good night for you, eh? Brady was awful tonight. Awful. Even Aaron Brooks was cringing at that last pick. Oh, well. 12-2, and we'll have to win at Pittsburgh.
  12. There really are some knuckle-dragging, neantherthal racist asswipes on this board. Too bad everyone isn't as enlightened as some Bills fans are.
  13. Daquixers - I thought one player didn't make a team? I thought it was the best team that goes to the Super Bowl? Surely, one player can't have THAT much of an impact on his team's fortunes? Wait - it must be the defense's fault. Sorry to bother you.
  14. "Your" right, too. I'll just wait for the Tin Man's annual implosion (3/4 INT) in a big game. I suppose it'll be the defense's fault then, too. [/excuse generator]
  15. Wouldn't Bills fans want the Patriots to keep pace with the Steelers by beating Miami, then play the Jets with homefield still a real possibility next week? Just sayin'.
  16. Positively Belichickian. I would think that anything that pisses off Jerry Sullivan would please TBD members. How has 'ol Jerry been lately anyways?
  17. The Tin Manning Excuse Generator? When you're spending as much on offense as they are (ostensibly to keep Tin Man happy), odds are you won't have a defense. I would think that Bills fans could easily draw a line between Manning and Marino - gaudy, amazing stats... never won a championship.
  18. Wicked. Funny, but wicked.
  19. They've got to be doing backflips in Atlanta and Minnesota right now. Wow.
  20. You forgot "Brady's gay" and "they cheat", Helmet.
  21. Glad to see you can discuss dissenting opinions and enjoy a spirited debate.
  22. SF - You should be enthused about your team; they're playing well... but there is no way on God's green earth that a team led by Drew Bledsoe will ever win a playoff game in Foxboro against a Bill Belichick coached team. There is NO way.
  23. The older I get, the more I realize the expert "opinions" are no more valid than the informed fan. Especially the frauds who pollute the radio airwaves in Boston (WEEI sports radio). Two of the midday hosts earlier this year boasted they didn't watch football on a nice fall afternoon. I caught when Merril Hoge said that pre-season. "Expert", my ass.
  24. Take whatever PK says with a pound of salt. 2 years running he's picked Jake (The Flake) Plummer as his pre-season MVP.
  25. Why? So Kearse can run 5 yards behind him, pull a muscle and be out 3 weeks? (Also known as "pulling a Chris Slade".)
