  1. Sage advice: The GM that listens to the fans will soon be sitting with them. Tom Donahoe... COME ON DOWN!!!!
  2. Kind of like Bills fans talking about... Not going there. Please ban Kota.
  3. NOTHING quite equals the Red Sox in the post-season.
  4. Braves in the post-season = DB = RJ
  5. The Bills defense ensures they'll be in every game. If there's a scapegoat to be had, it's not really Bledsoe - a lame duck QB like he was jumped at the contract he was offered. The object of vitriol should be the man who extended his contract, Tom Donahoe.
  6. I'm in mourning for 1/2 of a wasted sports-day yesterday. Once again, the Pats save the day for Bostonians! I'm telling you, this game in Buffalo is going to be a war. Mark it down.
  7. If you're not satisfied with the play of any member of a team that's not getting it done, you criticize him and make your displeasure known. You are fans and consumers of the Bills. It's a defeatist attitude to 'sit back and take it', IMO.
  8. Ooh, sorry. Thought this was a thread about Drew talking about himself. Nothing to see here. Move on.
  9. We have the Infidels from the United States right where we want them! Iraq will not be defeated! Saddam Hussein is still in glorious power! Hail Saddam! Every board needs a Baghdad Bob.
  10. Let me give you some observations on the Pats: I don't think the Patriots will be able to run the ball on the Bills effectively. Yeah, Dillon's had games of 15/86 and 32/159, but that was against Indy and Arizona, respectively - not exactly the '85 Bears. As for the passing game - Brady, despite decent #'s, has not been sharp. Deion Branch left the game near the end of the half yesterday, but David Givens (hope you heeded my advice and added him to your roto team!) stepped up big, getting 6 catches for 118 yards. The curious play-calling in the first half of yesterday's Pats/Cards game left a lot to be desired. If the Pats are going to move the ball on the Bills, it'll have to be through the air with lots of Ben Watson and Danny Graham. If the Bills stay with their very low-risk, run-first approach (taking the heat off of Bledsoe), they'll be able to play a field-position game and give them a chance to win. They should be able to run effectively between the tackles on the Pats. Stay out of 3d & long so BB and RAC can't blitz the beejezus out of Drew (forcing turnovers) and stick with the run! I see another game in the neighborhood of 16-10 or so.
  11. Shane Matthews is not the answer. There's a reason why he's a career journeyman. The prudent thing is for Bledsoe to keep working, keep emphasizing the run, and play mistake free football. I felt, watching the Bills game back and forth with the Pats yesterday, that the Bills could have pulled on OAK what the Jags did to you guys. You're one play away from being 1-1. Back off the ledge. You're going to give New England some problems in two weeks.
  12. Ohhh, it looks good on you though!!
  13. What's the big deal with picking your team?? (BTW - Pats 27, Cards 20 this week. ) 99.9% of you guys picked the Bills to win last week. It's a part of supporting your team!! It's not a stretch to envision a Raiders win this week by any stretch of the imagination - no one blinks twice on here about a 6-10 team coming off a home loss going out to the WC and winning, do you? It's not a stretch to see a Bills win, either. FWIW - I see OAK 20, BUF 10.
  14. Really?? I was pissed beyond belief when the Pats missed the post-season in '02 and will be spitting mad if the there was a redux this year. I want them to win and win and win and win - the same way I felt about the Celts back in the day.
  15. I prefer to think '67, '75, '78, '86, '88, '90, '95, '98, '99, and '03 were just "tough breaks", too. Wasn't trying to incite by referring to SB 25, but just pointing it out it's the same deal. I'm of the opinion that when we do beat NYY, it will be that much sweeter for the Sox and that much more devastating for the Yankees.
  16. Dissapointed in you, Rico. When in doubt, bring up the past. Of course, if any Pats fan said, "WIDE RIGHT" on here, he'd be pilloried.
  17. Ouch, I'm stung. They won it last year. And they're making the playoffs this year.
  18. Umm, the Pats won their opener this year and in '02.
  19. It really doesn't matter because of this fact: he would only have pitched once vs. NY either way. If he pitched tonight, he'd miss the series next weekend in Fenway, since he pitched last night he'll pitch the Sunday finale next week.
  20. Yeah, you're right. A division championship and home field advantage through both rounds of playoffs mean nothing. Of course it means something - it might be the best rivalry in sports: 2 very good teams, intense rivals with bad blood between them with something to play for late in the year.
  21. The essence of what September baseball is all about will be on display this weekend and next: Boston at New York for three this weekend, and the Yankees visit Fenway next week. This is going to be a lot of fun.
  22. Amen!!! Berman has become an embarrasment of epic proportions. I don't even watch SportsCenter; I'll watch SportsDesk on NESN (local sports channel) or ESPNews.
