BF, were you not aware of how they decided who gets Home Field Advantage over the last 2 years? You knew full well going into this series who had the home field edge and I didnt hear you whining then. This series is NOT over and frankly, I'm still scared to death that guys like Rolen and Edmonds are going to start mashing. (Pujols is starting to find his groove) Baseball is the sport where home field has the least advantage in sports anyway. You still have to pitch, hit and field.

Just out of curiosity, what is your position on the gun control issue here in America?

Game 3 is the critical game. Pedro Martinez needs to keep the boot on the Cards' throat. Its highly unlikely that Schilling makes another start so its best to wrap things up as soon as possible.

Keep making excuses for your team losing. Is there anything else you can blame OTHER than the fact that neither Scott Rolen nor Jim Edmonds have done anything at the plate? OR the fact that neither starting pitcher made it out of the 5th inning? OR the fact that after Jim Edmonds, your lineup gets pretty weak and your bench depth is pretty non-existent?

The team with the best regular season record? Thats quite an accomplishment considering the powerhouse teams in your division like the Pirates, Brewers, Reds and Astros (under Jimy Williams) not to mention the choking Cubs. Very impressive.

Home Field Advantage didnt help the Yankees much last year did it when they lost the world series to a WILD CARD team. You still have to play the game no matter where you are.

The Cards should only be complaining that they couldnt take advantage of 4 errors per game.

That bothers me to no end that Fox and movie studios "plant" celebrities to plug whatever it is they want to plug. How many of the cast of That 70's Show are actual Sox/Cardinals fans? All that does is take seats away from the real fans.

As a Patriots fan, I would have no problem rooting for the Bills if they were in the Super Bowl. I dont subscribe to the schadenfraude (sp?) that Yankee fans relish.

From what I've seen, the Cards pitching just isnt that good, their lineup is decent but can be pitched around and their depth just isnt there. Sox have the pitching to overcome making those errors, the Cards dont. Lets see how things shake out in St. Louis.

Cards DID make an error. Renteria's error on Varitek's grounder in the 8th which was then followed by Bellhorn's go ahead HR that made the difference. You could argue that the ball that hurt Womack could have been an error. Anyone know his status?

Larry Walker can flat out mash! Their 2-5 hitters are phenominal but the Cards problem could be their lack of depth on their bench and at the bottom of their lineup. Schilling tomorrow night, Sox at least have to hold serve at home and hope to take a game or more on the road.

Even if they had determined it the old way, it would STILL be the AL's turn to have it. (Anaheim had it in 2002 so last year, Florida would have had it if not for the rules change)

I'm ready. Lets hope the Sox are.

I know you want to put down New England fans but come on dude be realistic for a minute here. The Pats are playing a regular season game against a divisional rival while the Red Sox are playing in the WORLD SERIES. This just isnt a late season game against Tampa Bay. Then again I can see your point of view because Buffalo has zero competition in terms of sports franchises or anything else for that matter.

I'm watching 20/20 tonight, they're doing a piece on the Beslan massacre and it is absolutely heart wrenching. It is also extremely infuriating. A baby (2 year old maybe?) was used by a terrorist as a human shield and his intestines were blew out of him as he was hit by a bullet. The kid actually survived. I also hope the terrorists that were captured will be tortured to death. Let Russia wreak a terrible vengeance down upon anyone who would collaborate or sympathize with these terrorist pigs. This is almost on par with September 11th if you ask me. Maybe I'm just extra sensitive to this because I have kids in Kindergarten and Pre-School and cant imagine something like this happening.
