  1. Yanks could get Pavano but with Arizona signing some talent, they may decide NOT to trade Randy Johnson. A Yankees rotation of Mussina, Vazquez, Pavano, Wright and Brown is still pretty good. Pedro will most likely be resigning with the Sox this weekend. Schilling, Martinez, Wells, Arroyo and Wakefield are better than the above rotation. Tim Hudson is also in play.
  2. My advice wouldnt help you. I drive a 2002 Ford Explorer and I love it. Then again, I dont drive many miles so gas guzzling isnt a factor. As far as cars go, I've found that Japanese models are the best driving and most reliable out there. Honda, Toyota and Nissan are all great cars (89 Honda Prelude, 01 Toyota Camry, 95 Nissan Altima)
  3. Look ahead much? While I would also root for the Bills if they were to make the Super Bowl, its too early to start making plans for Jacksonville just yet. First goal is to simply beat the Cleveland Browns. Anything beyond that is just foolish at this point.
  4. I'd rather the Sox pony up for 4 years with Cabrera. He helped us immeasurably win the World Series. Who knows what we would get with Hanley Ramirez. If he's all that in a few years, we could either trade him or Cabrera to fill another need. I'm fine with the Wells signing, a good lefty pitcher who thrives for the most part in big games and will have no problem pitching in Yankee Stadium. Probably means they wont get Pavano but will resign Pedro and Varitek. Schilling Martinez Wells Arroyo Wakefield Not too shabby.
  5. Dude, if you already know what you DONT want then chances are you can use process of elimination to figure out what you DO want.
  6. They're not? Winning 26 of their last 27 games isnt the standard by which all other teams must measure up to?
  7. If Cincinnati beats New England on the road, there is no way, no how they are losing to Buffalo at home. A loss to the Pats could deflate them.
  8. So you're telling me you'd be confident enough to wager money on a ROOKIE QB in the playoffs against a battle tested veteran team that would be completely HEALTHY? It IS possible to come back and beat a team thats beaten you. For I seem to harken back to 2003 when a young upstart team the Buffalo Bills laid a shellacking on the Patriots in Week 1 and yet by Week 17, fortunes had turned and the shellacking was paid back in full. Funny world we live in huh?
  9. Looking ahead to the Steeler game ASSUMING you've won out is foolish. Focus on THIS WEEK'S GAMES and root against every wild card contender that you're competing. Whether we get the 1 seed or the 2 seed, we'll still have a week off and we're still going to the Super Bowl. (We can beat the Steelers in Pitt, they cant beat us in Foxboro)
  10. Can anyone tell me when the last time someone beat the Patriots at home? Anyone? Bueller?
  11. Baltimore beat Pittsburgh so Baltimore should have crushed New England right?
  12. Team A beat Team B and Team B beat Team C so therefore Team A will beat Team C. - The most faulty logic in professional sports.
  13. Until Indy starts addressing things on the defensive side of the ball, they'll be singing the same old song and dance every year.
  14. And we're chastised for OUR intolerance?
  15. Agreed. Just dont get down if you dont gain ground on anyone this weekend. Just keep pace and make your move down the stretch like a thoroughbred.
  16. Tough to get excited for the Browns.
  17. I dont see either Denver or Baltimore losing this weekend. I do see Cincy getting beat, the Jets getting beat and I sense an upset brewing in Jacksonville. Chicago is tough defensively and Urlacher is back.
  18. The Bengals will be desperate after losing in NE this weekend.
  19. Jets wont go 0-4. You guys are playing for a 6 seed so you should focus all your negative energy on Baltimore, Cincy, Jacksonville and Denver.
  20. Amen my man! I would NEVER be ashamed to say I'm an American or try to hide my nationality unless my life were actually at stake. Anyone who hides who they are or denies their heritage doesnt deserve to live in such a great place.
  21. Its either Bush's fault or Halliburton's.
  22. Seattle? What was I thinking? Revised SB prediction; Patriots over Eagles
  23. I read an article about this woman in People Magazine or something like that a while back and it was one of the saddest things i've read in a long time. It amazes me that people are STILL abandoning their kids despite this new "law".
  24. The Shield is one of the best written shows I've seen in a long time. Much like The Sopranos, the main character is a bad guy that one can sympathize with and root for to kick ass.
