  1. STILL chewing on those sour grapes? You must have one hell of a "bitter beer face"
  2. Wasnt there a whole lot of teeth gnashing on draft day when Lee Evans' name was called?
  3. Dont think any 2-11 teams will be in the playoffs so yes, we WILL be fine. Talk to me once you make the playoffs. That is IF you make the playoffs. Sucks to need help doesnt it?
  4. You know the old saying "Be careful what you wish for" right? Your best chance of getting to a super bowl is to PRAY that you wont have to go to Foxboro.
  5. And no matter how well the Bills are doing now, there is no way they go into Foxboro and beat the Pats. That and they have to MAKE the playoffs first.
  6. What happens if Buffalo beats Pittsburgh, the Jets beat St. Louis at 1 and then the Broncos kick a last second FG to beat the Colts by a point during the 4 O'Clock games? Could the season end in a MORE agonizing fashion than that? I hope not. Personally, I'd love to see you guys make it, I think you'll put up more of a fight than either the Jets or Broncos so good luck.
  7. I'm just saying, Buffalo (Should they even make it) has a shot of beating the Colts in Indy. Denver has NO SHOT. Then again, if Buffalo loses next week, Denver wins and the Jets lose, the Jets would go into Indy.
  8. From an objective standpoint, the Colts will have a much harder time with Buffalo then they would with Denver.
  9. If the Rams dont win tomorrow, they are done I think and would probably lay down next week against the Jets and most likely sealing Mike Martz' fate But its always better to hope that one of two teams loses instead of just one.
  10. You're comparing the Patriots with Minnesota? A team renowned for its inability to play good football once the holidays arrive? Records dont mean CRAP in the postseason? Are you this dumb or just intellectually dishonest? A better record could be the difference between playing the first week and having a bye A better record could be the difference between playing in front of your own fans or playing in front of the other team's fans. A better record could be the difference between playing a contender or a pretender one week A better record could be the difference between playing in a cold weather site or playing in a dome A better record could be the difference between actually making the playoffs or making tee times come January 4th.
  11. Whereas you might call it "the end of the road", I call it a speedbump. Thats all.
  12. I never made excuses. We also lost to the lowly Steve Spurrier coached Redskins last year too. Unless you're the 72 Dolphins, you cant beat EVERYONE. Its why they coined the phrase: "Any Given Sunday" Remember, we're 12-2 NOT 8-6.
  13. Thats the thing. I dont care WHO is Questionable for the Jets. I'm confident we can beat them at full strength and I dont care WHO is resting their players. I'm fine putting my team up against any team in the NFL and lets see where the chips fall. None of this "oh they wont be playing for anything so they'll rest their starters and we can back into the playoffs nonsense"
  14. We lost to lowly Buffalo last year and did just fine thanks.
  15. Let him grab and hang onto SOMETHING. I guess its all he has.
  16. Keep dreaming. No way Fred Taylor misses that game. The teeth gnashing on this board is going to increase tenfold BEFORE the 1st qtr of the Bills game is concluded as the Jags put the next to last nail in the Bills' coffin.
  17. Yup and the big difference is, that embarrassing upset doesnt really bother me. Our AFC East title has NOT been revoked. Had that happened to Buffalo, half this board would have been putting pistols in their mouths. Glad we dont need help to get into the playoffs and glad we're not hoping to get in the backdoor by having a team rest its starters and not really try. Yeah, that'll get your team prepared for playoff football.
  18. Perhaps we should boot Montana OUT of the Hall of Fame then?
  19. In case you forgot, Drew Bledsoe was QB of the Patriots for 8 years prior to Brady taking his position. So the answer would be YES.
  20. I guess its better to use destiny or fate over tangible signs as to why a team will get into the playoffs by running the table AND needing other teams to lose and then to win 3 playoff road games and then the Super Bowl. Whatever works for you.
  21. He is putting it on his shoulders. We'd give him more grief but he's built up such a reserve of goodwill that it would take a multitude of performances like that for Pats fans to start to worry. He'll play well vs the Jets this week. Count on it.
  22. Yet another football fan that just doesnt get it. How do you explain New England's piss poor record prior to Brady taking over the team? How many current QBs in the league would you want leading YOUR team for the next 5 years or so?
  23. Better rated? Aw shucks, we might as well cut the dude then because his QB rating isnt as high as Trent Green's. DOOOMED!!! DOOOMED I SAY!! All you need out of a QB is whether or not he can manage the game and come through when you need it most. Brady has done that and thats all that matters. The stat geeks can keep to their QB rating circle jerks for all I care. The only stat that matters is W's. They werent there PRIOR to Brady and they are there NOW. Hmmm..
  24. Well, since you put it that way, maybe we should just cut him then? I mean its not like his 2 Super Bowl trophies he brought home have garnered him any leeway for mistakes or anything. I mean the nerve of him to lead us to a paltry 12-2 record at this point. WE'RE DOOOOOOOMED!!!!!!!
  25. That was great. Especially when they took the first born child and the wife was like WTF? Hubby says something about how they got the other one "GO SAWKS!!!!" And of course I'm not satisfied with one championship in my lifetime. Like the Pats, my favorite championship is the next one.
