  1. Scott Peterson, you're up next to walk the Green Mile. Roll on 1!
  2. Funny how over here we all know whats reported on the news is barely approaching truth so why should believe its different when reported from overseas? Or from Al-Qaeda-Jazeera?
  3. Yup. I count one example. Philly doesnt count San Fran added some players in 95 - thats an example? Who did they add? Dallas added Deion and he put them over the top? - are you kidding me? Any other "examples"? Howabout - Denver added a player or 10 and then they was good.
  4. Did somebody say Helmet?
  5. Lets wait until they play some games together before we annoint them the best. Collecting talent and building a team are two different things.
  6. So you've cited one instance in 39 Super Bowls. Even a blind squirrell finds a nut occasionally. The Pats won their Super Bowls by drafting well, knowing who to resign and who to cut on their own roster and signing cost effective free agents NOT by going out and signing the biggest names they could find.
  7. Funny, Redskins fans usually brag about "winning" free agency and signing all the big names. Hows that work out for them come December?
  8. I happened to stumble onto the trailer between Survivor and the Apprentice and all I can say is WOW! I liked certain elements of Eps I & II (Duel of the Fates in I and the clone/robot battle in II) so Ep III looks to be spectacular with the space battle and Anakin leading the clones against the Jedi. Plus the emergence of Darth Vader should be cool. Of course to many in this instance cool = dork
  9. I think everyone has had a bad experience with at least one type of dog. For me, it was the German Shepherd. the only dog I've EVER been bitten by on a couple different occasions. I have had good experiences with a few but I'm just sayin that you tend to remember something like that. I've had pretty much positive experiences with Rotties, Pits, Labs, St. Bernards and Goldens. That said, I'd be less worried if the Lab or Golden got snippy than if the other 3 did. Lets face it, a Pit Bull is a dog with a shark's head and if it wants, it can pretty much kill you any time it wants to.
  10. Most likely cause he's a turd's turd.
  11. From what I read, the chimp was 150 lbs and if he wanted at your genitals, there wouldnt be a thing you could do about it to stop him. (The chimps were males and perhaps found this guy to be a threat?) Adult male Chimpanzees are the most violent and aggressive of ALL the great apes. Very cute and cuddly as babies but once they hit 8-12 months of age, they get a super testosterone infusion and all bets are off.
  12. My barber's second cousin's butcher told me that he knows a guy who knows a guy who's the niece of the assistant traveling secretary of the St. Louis Rams and he told her that Orlando Pace was going to be traded to Buffalo for Aaron Schobel. Book it. (Its just as valid as some random message board scribbling) While I know we all scour the web and various boards looking for what we want to see, reality must be checked here people.
  13. Nothing like speculating on your own foredrawn conclusion.
  14. Some teams have other teams' numbers no matter how good one is and how bad the other is. It was that way with the Pats and Colts. Even when the Pats would go 1-15 or 2-14, those wins would come against Indy.
  15. How many times must we humiliate the Colts before they are scratched off the short list? The 5 teams that worry me as a Pats fan for the immediate future; 1. Pittsburgh -Big Ben the real deal. Will only get better 2. Miami - No matter how good or bad, they always give us fits 3. Carolina - Great D, good running game, clutch QB 4. Philly - Really good, complete team. 5. NY Jets - Pennington is underrated and their D is terrific.
  16. The teams who "win" in free agency arent usually the teams who win in January. Its not who spends the most but who spends the best. Having a good draft helps too. Its too early to either celebrate or panic IMO.
  17. SENTIMENTAL VALUE!!!!! Bills mgt. knows all about this. Pay the player based on sentiment, public opinion and past performance. Patriots mgt pays based on future performance, sentiment be damned. Hey Hollywood! Nice to see ya, I'm back baby!!
  18. Then what would explain Belichick's gameplan to stop the high octane Bills' offense being in the Pro Football Hall of Fame?
  19. They lost a good OG who got a much better offer elsewhere, a truly great great Patriot who was getting older and had a large cap #, their best DB who also had a HUGE cap # and their 4th LB who was 37 years old. Had they kept them all, they'd be in salary cap hell and would morph into the Titans in a year or two. No thanks. They DID however offer mid level tenders to WR David Givens, OG Stephen Neal, DE Jarvis Green and OT Tom Ashworth. They are paying players on FUTURE performance, NOT on emotion and sentimentality. Otherwise we'd be the Buffalo Bills.
  20. BOO! Guess who's back! If the draft is your salvation this year then you're going to keep waiting for that elusive title. Especially with no first round pick (and dont delude yourselves into thinking Travis Henry will get you one) Did you miss me?
  21. Thats true. My feeling is that his salary and the salary of his weapons may prevent them from ever being able to improve their defense. fill in the blank wins championships
