  1. And fireball shots... http://www.sbnation.com/lookit/2015/2/4/7979729/gronk-fireball-art
  2. Who exactly are "they" anyway? The Sabres will draft McDavid or Eichel, either of those two will be the face of the franchise for many years to come. Winning in the near future will heal all wounds and "embarrassment" this season may have caused. Tanks for the memories...#tankgate
  3. Jordan Palmer, Vince Young, Matt Flynn, Brian Brohm, Matt Leinart, kevin Kolb, Tarvaris Jackson, Tyler Thigpen, Thad Lewis, Ryan Fitzpatrick....no one really talking much about these guys...
  4. Well, we've talked about EJ, signing a FA, trading for a QB, and drafting a QB. Maybe a no QB formation, back to the old Wild Cat days...uh oh...
  5. Here's the yahoo link: https://tv.yahoo.com/blogs/tv-news/-the-walking-dead--midseason-premiere-204820004.html
  6. That was all Enroth and I am glad they won, I didn't want the losing streak record. The 3rd period they were out shot 15-3. I watched most of the third and the Sabres were turning the puck over in their own zone time after time and Enroth stood strong. He bashed his stick on the ground in a WTF moment after one sequence in the third. Has to be tough being the goalie with this defense...
  7. Yes, that is the case. The Sabres have a lot of young talent that have not made their NHL debut as of yet, some good ones in college as well. But it's more than just not bringing them up because they might win games, i think it's more of not exposing them to a losing culture. That locker room has to be miserable after 14 straight losses, next year when they start taking steps to be competitive, we will see a lot of these guys. http://www.sabresprospects.com/
  8. of course not. A player may tank in an effort to get cut or traded (Blount), but they don't tank for a draft pick that may very well replace them. Nolan pretty much said the talent isn't there on WGR this morning. he said young players are making costly mistakes that they probably wont make with more experience. lot's of growing pains. with all these young players.
  9. it is a race for McDavid, but a race that no one is intentionally...wink wink nudge nudge...trying to win...
  10. So glad the Sabres do not play them any more this season, it's usually an automatic W...
  11. I volunteered to work instead of watching the Pittsburgh/Dallas SB years back because I didn't want to see either of those teams win, but this ranks right up there.
  12. Ouch, this isn't going to help: http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2015/2/2/7961801/darrell-bevell-ricardo-lockette-super-bowl-russell-wilson-interception-playcall
  13. Now that is hilarious. Had all my focus on Katy yesterday, so missed that gem!
  14. This is exactly it. I shouted worst call ever after the play unfolded, but today I actaully don't think it was a bad call. It was a horrible decision by Wilson to throw the ball over the middle, but not a bad decision to pass. You have to throw a fade or something that has a low percentage of your team catching it and zero chance of your opponent catching it. Then you have 3rd and 1 with 20 something seconds and a timout. That's a nice situation. But poor execution on second down...
  15. Seems like that was years ago...I guess not earning a point in January will do that. They won with goaltending during that stretch, which is the only way they can win games. Which is also why Murray wants to trade one of the goalies. They have the lowest goal total and highest goals against total, give up the most shots against per game while taking the least amount, lowest pp percentage, and a whopping -85 goal differencial! That is just amazing and sad, but necessary. The season of the tank is going according to plan to this point, 32 games left...
  16. It could be worse... Beginning in 2016, the Draft Lottery will be utilized to assign the top three drafting slots in the NHL Draft, an expansion over previous years when the Draft Lottery was used to determine the winner of the first overall selection only. Three draws will be held: the 1st Lottery draw will determine the Club selecting first overall, the 2nd Lottery draw will determine the Club selecting second overall and the 3rd Lottery draw will determine the club selecting third overall. As a result of this change, the team earning the fewest points during the regular season will no longer be guaranteed, at worst, the second overall pick. That club could fall as low as fourth overall.
  17. This is the last year of "the tank" for sure, it's go time no matter who they draft. You can't expect much more next season either, but a little better isn't asking for much, at least in the playoff hunt in February. And I agree about about 16-17, I think the majority of Sabres fans believe it will take a couple more years to put a contender together.
  18. That's pretty much what we've been saying since the start of this thread, it's imperative that the sabres finish last to ensure we get one of the two. Plus finishing last still give the Sabres the best chance at McDavid...
  19. First of all, Blount went to the Steelers because they offered a lot more money than NE. Secondly, Bell was a complete stud this year, so he wasn't going to get many carries as long as Bell was health and he had to know that coming in. Third, not a mind trick, just a well designed play. It's just interesting how the numbers drop significantly after Ridleys injury. weeks 1-6 Blount had 37 carries for 213 yards - 5.75 per carry week 6 Ridley hurt, out for the season week 7-10 -- 28 carries for 53 yards - 1.89 per carry Cut by Steelers week 12-17 -- 60 carries for 281 yards - 4.68 Mr. Weo...Why do you take every post as a personal attack against you of some sort. Just curious, as you always seem very angry...
  20. Super lucky Blount forgot how to run the ball and went back to acting like a thug shortly after the news that Ridley was out for the season. And then lucky again to be signed by NE where he regained his form and staightened up his "act". Sounds legit.
  21. I always listen to the post game show, which include player and coach interviews. To be completely honest, i would rather listen to the players than the whining fans that call in.
  22. Ok, I guess we'll have to be happy with 4 up after Thursday game...
