  1. The intensity in First Niagara Center is sure to pick up when Toronto invades Buffalo for the 100th time during the regular season. The Sabres are 66-25-8 during the first 99 games....
  2. Doesn't surprise me they fired Richards. Not that I think it's his fault, but some believed this team could be in the running for the presidents cup, and this start (even though it's incredibly early) will cause a bit of a panic. I am not a Tortorella fan, I don't think his coaching style is a good fit for C-Bus, but that 1 Stanley Cup victory on a resume sure goes a long way...
  3. My guess is he didn't go out gracefully after being cut and pretty much was blackballed by the organization. The "fumble" issue most here exaggerate is not a good reason not to bring in a guy who knows the offense when a RB is desperately needed. Herron fumbled in his first game and has a history of fumbles, so I just don't buy it as the main reason or excuse for not bringing him in...
  4. I will be there tonight, section 116 row 8...I am pretty sure i will be surrounded by drunk Canadians, but I have Bills season tickets, so I am pretty much used to it...GO SABRES!!!!
  5. The Sabres may be 1-4-0, but they are so much better than last year http://nhl.nbcsports.com/2015/10/19/the-sabres-may-be-1-4-0-but-they-are-so-much-better-than-last-year/?ocid=Yahoo&partner=ya5nbcs
  6. No drinks before Noon on Sunday, despite requests.. http://wivb.com/2015/10/20/no-drinks-before-noon-on-sunday-despite-requests/
  7. I did bash the Bills for carrying a kick-off specialist and wasting a roster spot. But the past 2 weeks, I have learned just how important that position was to he Bills and I was wrong. They are consistently losing the field position battle. Of course fair catching punts at the 4 or 5 yard line doesn't help! The kickoff after the first TD, really sticks out. The Bengals have great field position at the 35 and add on another stupid penalty and they are at the 49 to start. Then punt and pin the Bills at their own 11. Bills punt and Cincy starts the drive at the Buffalo 49 and go on to score a TD. Bills lost the field position battle against Tennessee as well. It's the little things that add up and cutting Gay looks to be a really bad move.
  8. If that's the case, the coach's need to keep him out. He may never be 100% this season and I want him in there, but it's just not worth it right now Give him 3 more weeks of rest.
  9. I do not believe this at all...no way are there 50,000 people living in Niagara Falls!
  10. You sate that "no one knows" and "hamstrings are weird", if that's the case, then how do you know it will be that much better after another week or 2? He could feel the same in 2 weeks and still re-aggravate it. I will be disappointed as well if it flares up as well, but if it happens, I will not think it happened because he rushed back. I will think it happened because hamstrings are unpredictable...
  11. Dalton's getting rid of the ball extremely fast this season, i think Clayton said 2.2 seconds on WGR yesterday. the Bills D will need to adjust to the quick release QB's, hopefully they figure it out....This is going to be a tough week, the Bills will need to put some points on the board to win, this will not be a low scoring game...
  12. There won't be any this week (well...a fifth on an inch overnight), but December 27th and January 3rd could definitely be interesting...
  13. This is true. If the Bills had drafted Odell Beckham Jr. and he said it, everyone would be on board with everything said. But since the Bills traded up to get Sammy, and paid a high price to do so, this will always be the case...
  14. I like it! SF wore black on black earlier this year. Arizona does red on red a few times, i think the Texans do as well. A lot of teams do it, and every one is better than Cleveland's brown on brown...
  15. It's all speculation. There is no direct quote from any coach stating whom they prefer at QB, nor will there ever be. Rumors/speculation early on were Roman favored Cassel to run his offense, he never came out and said that, but that's what was "reported". Is it true? Maybe, maybe not, we'll never know. Hopefully EJ comes in and plays well for a game or 2. If we can just get to the bye at 4-3 at worst and then hopefully get our top guys back healthy after, it will be an exciting end to the season and this whole Cassel drama will be forgotten. GO BILLS....
  16. Embarrassed? Please...Very few remember how Pittsburgh tanked to get Crosby or the Colts tanking to get Andrew Luck. It's sports, you strategize to build your team long term, no matter what it takes. It was embarrassing being the laughing stock of the league for two years, but those that laughed are wishing they have Jack on their team right now. As for Lehner, his conditioning is going to take time. He had a concussion, so you're not just going to throw a helmet on and takes some pucks off the head any time soon after. But this will set him back even more, he'll probably have to go to Rochester for a bit when he's healthy.
  17. He said he thought he had a better future in Atlanta. most likely meant a better chance to gain a roster spot, the backup in ATL now is Sean Renfree...
  18. It happened to Van as well. But as a fan, his voice is just such a big part of the team (as was Van's), it's just not the same listening to a broadcast without him...
  19. I am sure he has had a concussion. Whether he was diagnosed as having one is the question...
  20. Tank you Sabres! It sucked for 2 years, but they now have a core of players, and a superstar, to build around for many years to come....
