Sabres & NHL 2016-17 - Victor Antipin Signs One Year Deal
ricojes replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Just throwing some names out that most likely will not be protected in the expansion draft. Ennis obviously wouldn't be a key piece in any deal, but could be a throw in. I kind of feel that GMTM will try to use draft picks to make moves though. But we've seen he's willing to deal, so anything in possible. -

I read an interesting theory regarding the letter to Littlefinger and it does make sense. Basically, Sansa insisted that Brienne go to ask her uncle for help in fear that if she sent a raven message, it would be intercepted by Ramsay. Now she sends a raven message most likely asking Littlefinger for help in the battle for Winterfell. It's kind of a win win for Sansa, if the message gets through, she gets Littlefingers help. If it's intercepted, Ramsay may use some of his forces to attack Littlefinger, leaving Winterfell vulnerable. Heck, maybe Ramsay event leads the troops to battle Littlefinger and the Snow/Ramsay battle won't event happen in the next episode. Should be interesting... -

The off-season will be very interesting for all teams. I really think with expansion looming, we can see a significant spike in number of trades Copying my post from the old thread: Well it's officially the off-season! Now it starts to get interesting. The draft really has me intrigued, I am excited about attending it. Especially with the expansion draft looming, it adds more to the thought process when it comes to trades. A draft pick is protected from the expansion draft, so do you try to trade Ennis or Girgensons for more picks knowing they most likely wouldn't be protected? Should be good, never a dull moment with GMTM! -

True, even though Arya was the one who planted the poison in the first place. I thought the actress may have a bigger role, but I guess it's better to wrap up that whole segment completely, no loose ends... -

Agreed. She took a slash and then was stabbed multiple times with a twisting of the blade on the last one. And how long was it until she was found? She was dripping blood at a good rate walking through the market, it had to be several hours before she was found. Plus the strutting around town thing, just doesn't make sense. You want to suspend belief when watching, but there has to be some form of consistency. The milk of the poppy can knock you out for several days, so it's unclear if it was the very next day, but still very soon after being sewn up. I am glad this part of the story is done with though, that's the best part of this whole ordeal... -
Former Bills to Open High End Steakhouse in Buffalo

I have heard nothing but good things about Kennedy's Cove, but have never tried it. I did enjoy Danny Sheehan's Steak House in Lockport. I have only been there once, but for the price (sides and salad included) and quality, it was excellent. -

Kind of thought that's what you meant, but it was a good reason to list some great restaurants in the area!!!! As mentioned above, Black & Blue is very good. The suburbs have a lot of great steak places as well... -

Few? There are many good restaurants...The Left Bank, Hutch's, Tempo, Tappo, Bacchus, Trattoria Aroma, Kuni's, EB Green's, Ristorante Lombardo, Osteria 166, Martin Cooks, Sinatra's....and there are many more I have heard good things about, but haven't tried yet...Such as The Lodge, Big Ditch, Sea Bar, Buffalo Proper, Rue Franklin....I'm getting hungry, must be close to lunch... Also, BOSS - Buffalo's Original Steak & Seafood, is another high-end steak house in Buffalo (hertel avenue). I have heard good things, but i have never been there.... -

EB Greens is SO good!! The place is still open in the Hyatt building and much better than the highly overrated Chop House. Not as good as Russell's though, but that's not in the city. As far as SEAR goes, it's in the same building as the Embassy Suites, so they are going to get a lot of business people to dine there as well. So, I think it will succeed. Side note, since I mentioned restaurants in hotels. A stone's throw away another new high end restaurant, Patina, will be in the brand new Westin Hotel which also houses Delaware North. The hotel will be managed by a recently returning Buffalonian, who managed the Waldorf Astoria in NYC... http://www.buffalonews.com/city-region/former-waldorf-astoria-executive-comes-home-to-westin-buffalo-20160419 Buffalo has a lot of good restaurants. It's great to see more opening! -
Around my neighborhood $250,000 - $350,000 houses are on the market no more than a couple weeks before being sold, it's amazing how fast some of them sell. Lot's of new neighborhoods being built as you mentioned. There is money around here, maybe our "armpit" reputation keeps a lot of people out of the area leaving more money for us. Whatever it is, my wife and I are fortunate to have good jobs and love the area. So we're very happy, could be happier if the sports area, but otherwise it's all good...

Rookie WR Gary Chambers experiences Duff's "death sauce"
ricojes replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Duff's death sauce is the real deal, it hurts. I love their suicide and can eat those wings with no problem, but the death sauce is in a class of it's own. Years ago when the Bills played the Steelers in the playoffs (20+ years ago...ahhh the playoffs, good times), we used to go to a place called The Buffalo Sports Garden to watch the games. The Sports Garden had a bet with a bar in Pittsburgh, whichever team lost, the bar owners would travel and make wings during the following weeks game. To this day, those are the hottest wings i have ever had. They were good, but incredibly hot. They literally lit the wings on fire before serving them, probably used gasoline or turpentine or something, but those suckers ignited. Just made us drink more as we watched the Bills squish the fish.... -

In the ending scene from the last episode, she's cowering in a corner with the needle, knowing they are coming for her. And in this episode she's strutting through the street with a lot of money without the needle? Yes there is some trickery, to what extent is the only question.... -

Has that been confirmed? I keep hearing the writers say they can wrap up GOT in 13 episodes and "may" go that route. HBO will certainly push for more... http://variety.com/2016/tv/news/game-of-thrones-end-date-season-8-1201752746/ -

We have 2 dachshunds, one is 14 and the other is 12. The 12 year old is still in good shape, runs around like a pup. But my 14 year old is losing her sight and hearing and moving slowly. They are such a big part of the family and i know we only have a limited time left, so I try to give the extra attention as much as possible. Losing a dog or any family pet is difficult, sorry for your loss Guff!
