  1. Interesting that the teams with future hall of fame/franchise QB's all have long standing coaches, you may just be onto something here...
  2. this is old news, have to be a little quicker here OP! but this statement is as true as it gets. especially when no one from the SB teams can play, it really waters down the field.
  3. Hogan is best used over the middle. TT does not throw over the middle. So it wasn't a big loss for the Bills and a good pickup by the **Patsie's. He's not worth 46 pages, that's for sure...
  4. They must have referenced McDaniels a dozen times in the broadcast, he called a brilliant game. But if you have the best QB in NFL history ( ), it has to be a bit easier. If the Bills came in with a game plan to throw 90% of the time, it would be laughable. Their time of possession would be about 10 minutes...
  5. Either way the outcome is miserable? you'll probably cheer for the Falcons? are you joking? If you're just an occasional Bills fan, I understand. But if you're a die hard, as I am, there is only one miserable outcome possible....GO FALCONS!
  6. Correct, plus you'll get better trade value in the off season as opposed to during the season. Be patient and stay the course. Trading prospects to maybe make a run at the playoffs this season is foolish. Even is they make the playoffs, they don't have the team to do any damage. Hopefully the Sabres can stock up on some picks this trade deadline for added ammunition this summer....
  7. A few underwhelming reviews of this on the previous page or 2.
  8. Stopped reading after that, must a "Patriot Way" article...
  9. Hogan said he didn't want to play here. He didn't like his role, knew he was behind Watkins and Woods on the depth chart. He was going to sign somewhere else, it just so happened the **Patsie's offered a great deal. Good for him. He did drop a lot of balls his last year with Buffalo, at least he managed to hang on to his 3 bobbles yesterday.
  10. 2 drops and 3 bobbles, at least he hung on to all 3 bobbles in his stats, but he had a great night. I can't understand how he is wide open all the time, but he does it.
  11. And I agree, at this point and time it appears that Toronto is ahead of Buffalo. But it's not a race to the playoffs, it's a race to the cup! I am good with not making the playoffs this year, but next year expectations will be much higher. I'll be there tonight...GO SABRES!!!
  12. Murray's plan when he took over was to finish dead last and get McDavid, so even if the rebuild did start under Regier, the team was completely dismantled shortly after Murray took over. Not winning the lottery pick hurt and increased the time of the rebuild. I am not necessarily using injuries as an excuse, I am using depth as and excuse, probably could have stated it better. They are related, but two different area's. But let's be honest, the one guy the Sabres could not afford to lose, missed a ton of games. Along with several other injuries, it was ridiculous how many were out. And I am not saying they would be incredibly better with added depth, maybe 3 or 4 points at most, but they would be a little higher in the standings. I do think the team has underachieved to this point. Is it coaching? Is it talent? Is it depth? Lots of questions and I don't have a good answer, hopefully GMTM does.
  13. Ottawa started their rebuild during the 2010-11 season...Trading Fisher to Nashville was the first move, followed by Chris Kelly and then Jarkko Ruutu, all very popular players at the time...The Sabres are in the second full season of a rebuild, so it's not fair to compare them. There is no depth on the Sabres at this point. Therefore injuries are a vaild excuse for poor play. In a couple years that should not be the case...
  14. if by helping us rebuild, you mean taking us to rock bottom, then that's not a bad idea if the plan is indeed to bebuild.
  15. Did you request finding a franchise QB? making the playoffs? Winning a SB? plug leaks at TBD?
  16. Let's see where Toronto ends up at the season. They have been on a great run these last 10 games, I don't see it lasting. I do think their young players are performing a whole lot better than ours to this point, but I don't think they're a playoff team yet.
  17. You're right, this team isn't good enough. But contending for a playoff spot isn't exactly high expectations. Anyone who expected more in the second full season of a rebuild was asking for too much.
  18. Pretty much what most here were saying pre-season. Hopefully he can pad that stats and have some good trade value.
  19. Sounds familiar... At any rate, this team is not going through a "full rebuild". They have too much money tied into several players, they just can't cut them, it doesn't make sense. This is reading way too much into Whaley's comments. Let's face it, Whaley makes Wade look brilliant at pressers. I think that's all there really is to it...
  20. The Browns do have some cash to spend: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C2atC_PUUAErqs4.jpg
  21. I somewhat agree with this, there is no need to rush at this point and time, especially if there is a coach currently in the playoffs that they have their eye on. A decision on TT won't come until March anyway, there is time.
  22. Anyone watch Sneaky Pete, it looks interesting? Did a quick search, but no results, although I thought it was mentioned in this thread.
