Just a normal step in the signing process. The number is high because of Darcy's reluctance to sign long term contracts, maybe he'll reconsider after all this off season work.

Thruway was closed Albany-Syracuse today

Oddly enough when they showed houses under water in Binghamton, there were no people or dogs on the roofs waiting to be rescued. Must be they had plenty on notice to evacuate!! -
Is that the fat chick from American Idol?

Bass Pro in the Aud...will it ever become reality?
ricojes replied to LabattBlue's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Indoor water parks are the new sensation and the Aud would be perfect. It will never happen, but I believe it could work....At least it's a little more feasible than Bass Pro! -
Even better....

Horrible throw to first, you can see he tried to aim the ball instead of just throwing it. The first baseman wasn't in good position and should of stepped off the bag to prevent the ball from getting past him, but there is not disputing it was a bad throw. I feel really bad for that kid, going to be a tough one to get over. But in reality, blowing a 5-0 lead in game 2 was their ultimate demise.

More Insight as to Why Younger Folks...
ricojes replied to Dr. Trooth's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I grew up in the Buffalo area and have lived in Amherst for the last 6 years and absolutely love the area. My wife and I bought a house for $185,000, it's 2400 sq. feet and change and it's located on a cul de sac in a great neighborhood. Actually Peca and Barnaby live around the corner, hope Peca brings the cup to Amherst after tonight!! There is plenty to do as far as restaurants and entertainment (bills/Sabres/Sheas). The traffic is not bad at all. A bad accident during rush hour may take you 10 minutes longer to get somewhere, which compared to other cities is nothing. My wife and I both have good jobs, I am in the computer field and my wife is a teacher. There are jobs to be had in the area. The biggest problem is you have to find them. Often times the bigger companies won't advertise positions in the Buffalo News, so finding the jobs is the toughest part. If we were to move, I could probably make more but my wife would take a cut. The only thing that would drive us to move is the taxes. Our house has been assessed twice in the last 3 years and has went from 175,000 to $230,000, which obviously raised our taxes. We now pay over $6000 per year in taxes, which pretty much makes me sick. I love the Buffalo area and would not want to move, especially with family and friends in the area. But if taxes continue to rise, I may have no choice. It's something I do not like to think about, can't imagine not going to the Bills games. I have many friend in the Raleigh area and wasn't overly impressed, but that is the most likely destination if necessary. Go Bills...Go sabres....go Buffalo... -
he is no longer the play maker.... Now he's just the noise maker....

Mike Williams has weight issues.....again

But there are most likely incentives and bonuses in his contract for more brass rings? just seems like he's flat out lazy. -

Topic should be... Mike Williams has weight issues.....STILL.... How can someone making millions be that unmotivated. There will plenty of Twinkies left after you retire, fat boy... -
He was very inconsistant last year at camp. One day great and the next brutal. The same thing carried into the pre-season and obviously into the season. I don't want to jump to conclusions as it is too early, but it appears (from what I read) that he is more relaxed so far. But lets get the pads on and a rush in his face and we'll see if the happy feet return.

Steelers QB Ben R. In Motorcycle Crash

Can you imagine if BR's career is over? My guess is the driver of the car will have to find a new residence. The hate mail, threats, and phone calls will be pouring in and they will be black balled everywhere in Pittsburgh, ala Steve Bartman in Chicago…. -

While I do unfortunately agree that with your 7-9 prediction, although a couple bounces could lead to 9-7 (we can hope, or billieve). I do have some comments on your other statements: We have cut (for whatever reasons) our best proven offensive player in Moulds I can give you 10 million reasons we cut Moulds, there was unfortunately no way they could have re-structured that deal that would have made both sides happy. His cap hit was just too much. our most highly touted Offensive lineman in Williams I have to agree with you here, I would have liked to keep him. But MW has already said he plans on losing 30lbs and dropping to 340 for training camp. He did not have that motivation with the Bills, heck he was pushing 400 lbs. It's sad but sometimes players need a change of scenery in order to get motivated, I believe the Bills brass realized this and let him go. the only defensive tackle to make multiple pro bowls Big Sam was a force when he wanted to be and a non factor when he took a down off. I liked having SA in the middle, but again he just took too many downs off. His attitude was piss poor as well, at least according to our lovely hometown fish rag (I have no inside sources). This was a toss up for me, still don't know if I agree with the move. But team ran down our throats last year with him in the line up, don't think it can get much worse without him. Our biggest loss was obviously PW!!! a strong safety that has made multiple pro bowls LM has slowed down big time in the past few years. the new defense calls for fast safeties, hence the reason for the secondary heavy draft. LM just didn't fit the scheme. He's too slow and is more of center field type safety. As for the QB, who knows. I am hoping JP comes through and i believe he can. Although a lot of other players need to step up on our line and receiving corps. I am hoping we can surprise a few teams. Starting 2 on the road against AFC East rivals is going to be tough, but could boost the team confidence if we steal one or (gulp) two. I will be there all season, even stinking Christmas Eve and hope we are competitive. That's all we have right now is hope. -
Lets send a basket of cheese from two bills drive to go with all of Carilina's whine!!!

When you think about the population on North and South Carolina, not selling out a game 7 in minutes is ridiculous. They are basically the South\North Carolina Hurricanes, right? They don't have the nads to associate a specific city with this team or there would be no fans. They don't even go by the North Carolina Hurricanes. Imagine if it were the Raleigh Hurricanes! What would attendance be? Pathetic!! And some of their fans are criticizing the city of Buffalo and its economy. At least we are the Buffalo Sabres and damn proud of it!!! Hopefully the South\North Carolina Hurricanes are out after tonight and we'll play a city with some pride...................

I stayed at the Jack Tar Village and had a great time. No one under 18 allowed, no children running around was the selling point for me. Here is a site with some reviews: http://cancun-hotels.tripadvisor.com/Hotel...782.hwoink_html
