Best veteran alternative to Holcomb
ricojes replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How'd that work out....yikes! Nall is a veteran of being on an NFL team, but he has little regular season game playing experience. If JP gets hurt late in a close game, I want someone with experience to replace him. Someone who has been in that position before. Not saying Holcomb is the ideal candidate, but he has the most experience on the current roster. And unless Holcomb complains about not starting, I think he makes a fine #2.... -
It would be very risky for the Bills to trade Holcomb, unless they picked up a veteran QB in return. Nothing against Nall, but he has very little experience in regular season games. For the Bills to go into the season without a veteren QB on the roster would be a mistake IMO.

The Lions do not issue group sale tickets, so excursions for this game might be a bit scarce. Believe it or not, there is actually a waiting list for season tickets in Detroit. And tickets in general are difficult to get. I was lucky enough to get 2 in nose bleed section. Now I just need to work on tickets for the Friday night Sabres game!!! Good luck, I will let you know if I hear of anything.

One of the worst pictures of Paris Hilton I have ever seen... Or was that Nicole?

Branch would make a great #2 receiver. The problem is that he would want #1 money!!!
-
May I ask why? What have you seen thus far that makes you believe he would be an upgrade from JP? He's never started a game in his career. I would have liked to see him get a chance to start in pre-season, but he was hurt and that blew his chance. I would definitely not want him to start without seeing what he can do against first stringers.

Will Albert let us know if its right???

Anybody else a little nervous about the TkO
ricojes replied to Stl Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree, if TKO says he isn't ready than do not play him! I really do not want to see him on the field Saturday, very worried about that. As for Posey, he just doesn't fit this system. He is a big slow LB, this D calls for quickness. He did not have much value in the new scheme. -
It Does not mean other receivers had more drops. Reed was thrown to 53 times last season, had 32 catches and 3 drops (according to snap stat). 60.4% is 32 divided by 53, so it's not just drops that are factored in to this equation. Bottom line is Josh Reed will make this football team, deal with it. It's time we accept that.

Even better, the girlscouts are legally scalping tickets.... Nice little business they have going!

The passport issue died, wait it's back, now dead again.... You get the idea... Currently no passport is needed and would be a lot longer than December before one is needed, so don't worry. I would recommend staying on Chippawa Saturday night. the Hyatt and Hampton Inn are reasonable and it's a great party. Then hit the Falls on Sunday night, celebrate a Bills victory with a nice dancer or two....
-
The game should sell out. It's kids day and everyone except season ticket holders get tickets for $8!!! The girl scouts buy a ton of tickets and sell them for $10, a girl sold 30 tickets on my street alone this week. I know not everyone pays $8, just need to vent because season ticket holders are forced to pay for this crap!!!

Very Deep, I have my hip boots on!!!

You're not serious Dan, are you? McGee IS the Bills main kickoff return guy!! Freddie will be opposite and teams will try to kick away from McGee, but that's the only reason McGee doesn't get as many chances...

I agree and I wouldn't draft JP either. Just thought the comment was a little rough. Especially when Engall has Willis high on his draft board. Definitely agree with that, repeat DEFINITELY agree with that. The FF "experts" are want to be broadcasters that can't make it....
-
I've been waiting a long time for that (from any back in recent years!). Even though it was pre-season it was great to see and fun to watch. Go Willis Go!!!

The following question was submitted today: Would you still take a chance on Chester Taylor even though the Vikes will probably have no passing attack to speak of? Can you say 8 man fronts? Without any mention of the Bills in previous posts Scott Engel comes back with: Brad Johnson will at least keep defenses honest, and he'll throw to Taylor a lot as well. That's not JP Losman back there. Thought the JP comment was unnecessary, but I guess it speaks to what FF "experts" think about him. I could care less about what Engel writes, but just thought it was a curious out of the blue comment to make.

It's a scoring plus yardage league. I pretty much agree with the 4, but haven't heard a thing about Parker and KJ with Martz as OC scares be a bit. I think I have the 6th pick out of 12, so I should be able to get a quality WR with my first pick.

A QB has to have a lot of trust in a receiver in order to throw a blind out like JP did. After this "miscommunication", I don't see JP having the trust in JR to run that play. Hopefully we won't see that again and I billieve JP learned a big lesson, which is what pre-season is all about.

I need to submit my keepers for this year by the end of this week: Need to keep 4 Eli Manning Marc Bulger Corey Dillon Ronnie Brown Kevin Jones Willie Parker Lee Evans Joe Horn Tony Gonzalez Any advice would be appreciated...

He'll retire after this season and be a Patriot for life....

For those who buy into ESPN's crap

Impressive runnning backs that year as well.... J.Linton 10-33, L.Gordon 7-22, S.Bryson 6-21, S.Morris 2-6 -
Wow, you really show your immaturity more and more with every post. Bottom line is the Bills do not have a boat load of all-stars, I don't think anyone would dispute that. But there are some potential stars and we shall see this year if they reach that potential. This team does have a good nucleus and are not far from being contenders (at least I hope!!). To say that we are at the bottom of the league in talent is just wrong though. And I believe that is what fired everyone up with your post. Plus you really didn't help yourself by taking jabs at everyone and not responding to legitimate posts. Instead you chose to answer to those that hurt your feelings, again it goes along with the immaturity. I almost stooped to your level and posted a whimsical comeback, but I will not resort to that. It's not worth my time. I will find another thread where the posters take criticism with a grain of salt. Late!!!

You wonder?? Of course the media would be all over it! They love controversy, makes for good headlines. Most fans would be screaming for his head as well. The question is, can JP overcome the criticism and be the QB we need him to be?
