  1. The VS. announcers aren't any better. There were a couple times I didn't even know a penalty was called until they put the penalty clock on the screen. And they didn't even leave the penalty clock up the whole time.
  2. The Jets line is looking pretty good. They needed line help and addressed it in the draft.
  3. I'm not saying I'm not patient, just saying it's a tough sell. And the reason for a lot of criticism and negativity on this board. I understand what's going on and fully expected a less than stellar year this year. It is frustrating, but they new regime needs time. I agree, the Pats have a good young RB, Brady is still young, the D-Line is young, the line backers may be older but they are still productive. NE may not be the team they were 3 or 4 years ago, but they are still damn good. The Jets haven't really beaten a good team, I will give them credit for playing Indy tough though. They are pretty much in the same position of re-building as the Bills and should be getting better. Miami sucks....
  4. While it's obvious that the Bills are re-building, it's still a tough sell. It's easy to be patient when a team has been dismantled after a successful few seasons. But when the team hasn't been successful in years and it's the 3rd or 4th re-building process in that span, it's tough to be patient. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel with this current roster, but it's getting harder and harder to justify my season tickets.
  5. But at least he played all 16 games in his second year... He had 27 starts under his belt before his breakout year!!!
  6. That's just ridiculous...I wasn't any less pissed after sitting through the rain at yesterdays game because the Sabres are off to a good start. Yeah, the Bills are 2-5, rebuilding, no where near a contender, new coach, new GM...Gee, wait, the Sabres are good...never mind, I feel much better....Idiotic...
  7. If a QB is that big of a sissy/pansy a$$, they should be allowed to drill him. Heck if I am on NE, I might make a run at Brady after just giving herself up on that play!!
  8. Turned out to be the move of the year. In our league we get a bonus for 300 yard passing days and a bigger bonus for 400. Harrington ended up with 70 points, wish I would have started him!! Johnson ended up with 29. I am up by 20 going into tonights game. He has Plax and 2 and I have Eli. Well worth the roster spot!!
  9. The good news is that I actually sold my Tennessee tickets yesterday!! But seriously, this is the first time in long time that I cannot pin point one area of the Bills that will make them a better team. This team has holes all over the place. And unfortunately, this is anything but a quick fix. I agree we need to be patient with the re-building (no you don't have to be built to re-build...idiots!) process, but it's a tough sell when it's been so long since this team has made the playoffs. It's getting harder and harder to justify my season tickets...
  10. I picked up Harrington, I think he'll put up decent numbers against the worst pass D in the league. He ended up with B. Johnson.
  11. The team I am playing this week has both QB's (Bulger & Grossman) on a bye. He's going to have to drop Grossman and pick up a QB. the QB's available are: Charlie Frye David Carr Damon Huard Bruce Gradkowski Joey Harrington My question is, should I pick up one of these QB's to block my opponent from getting him? Looks like Harrington against the Pack may be the pick. Or do I just pick up grossman after he drops him (My backup QB is Alex Smith, who is on a bye)?
  12. Went to Seductions last week and that's all they were saying...
  13. Not when the Sabres are playing well...
  14. And there you go...now you're just backing up your "I must be stupid" comment...
  15. Amen, brother!! Everyone has their own opinion, some not very intelligent, but none the less they have their say. Don't take it personally if everyone doesn't agree with you. Post your opinion and back it up as much as you can, that's all you can do. Posting intelligently + backing up your post with facts = a tough post to disagree with!!!
  16. Those subs are great and the most popular spot downtown at 2am. I worked at OMI for years (early 90's) and would frequently stop in to pw & t's afterwards... there's a new wing joint in Fredonia now, it's called Wing City. It's on 60, near the thruway. Haven't been there, but hear good things about it.
  17. It's one thing to be named Espn and be original, but it's not the first time. Actually the first baby named Espn was in 2000. http://www.caller2.com/2001/april/04/today...lspo/22172.html
  18. While I do agree that the Bills should be good enough to pick up a 3rd and 1, I do not agree with your mano-a-mano stuff. If you think we could have lined up against the Bears and beat them mano-a-mano, you are seriously delusional. The Bills are a young team that is improving, they are no where close to the talent on the Bears.
  19. McCargo is raw, he left college early and was hurt one of his years and didn't play much at NC State. It will take a few years to know if this pick was a bust. Way too early to pull the one that Marv missed lines....
  20. Don't know if you watched the Seattle v Bears game, but that's what Seattly tried to do. The Bears D is so fast that they trap you in the corner on roll outs. It's has to be a quick hit or your toast against the speed of the Bears D.
  21. I'm with you... Da Bears are a better team and we lost. Doesn't matter if it was by 1 or 40. Now it's time to focus on Detroit. If we beat the Lions, were 3-3 and hosting the patsies!! Go Bills!!
  22. Well, they didn't make the third and inches... And by saying make the third and inches, isn't that a would have and could have?
  23. I think the fake punt would have worked, a coach has to assume that his punter can catch the ball. But they wouldn't have been in that position if Shelton doesn't false start.
