  2. Just a few days ago I was thinking how nice it was not to hear the term "slug" anymore. I guess some people just can't let it go....
  3. The rules are "Female" athlete....
  4. Heidi & Elle, 2 of my all time favorites...
  5. Had tickets to see him at the Seneca Niagara Casino and then the October surprise hit, instead I spent the night bailing out my sump pump. RIP
  6. I don't believe this will deter the very few optimistic people on this board...
  7. I believe the 7-9 Conference record, led to GT (8-8) being picked over FSU. My personal feeling is that a team should be .500 or better in their conference to be considered for the tourney. The thing the really irritates me is the "play-in" game. What a scam this is! Originally I liked it because I thought it would pair bubble teams for the right to get into the tournament. Instead they make it 2 mid-major teams that won their conference and earned a right to be in the tourney. I believe the play-in game should be 2 bubble teams battling as a 9 seed or something. Who wouldn't rather watch Syracuse vs. GT or Drexel vs. Illinois? I believe Niagara and Florida A&M were the most disrespected.
  8. Are you kidding me? Today's salaries are ridiculous and just keep getting bigger. Even if WM held out 10 games or whatever, he still would have raked in the big bucks! All he would have to say is that without an extension, he would not take the financial risk off playing an entire season. It just blows my mind that some people actually think like this. Have you not followed the NFL? You don't think Dan Snyder would sign a guy just because he held out? C'mon people get real here!!!
  9. Newsome later added "as long as that distance is under 10 yards."
  10. I mentioned that this was a possibility in a previous post and was crucified. How could WM hold with no leverage? He wouldn't be that stupid in contract year? and yada yada yada. But that is the truth, HE WOULD HAVE HELD OUT!!!! The Bills options were either sign or trade him. Even though I did like WM, I billieve they made the right decision.

The major upgrade is WM contact opposed to what JL would have cost. Sorry for the alignment woes....
  12. Couldn't agree more. I haven't liked him from the start and he is only getting worse. Lately if you don't agree with him, he is quick to dismiss you (ala Shopp). Isn't it great being a one newspaper and one sports talk show town!!!!
  13. I too was a WM fan. But looking at the situation objectively, the Bills did what they needed to do. This board can go back and forth forever, but in the end the decision was made based on what would be good for the franchise long term.
  14. I always called it the NFL Europe, but that's just me. Never understood soccer. However, I did go to a riot once and soccor game broke out...
  15. He would have held out at least a portion of training camp, I guess we will never know how much of it. It's a distraction the Bills didn't need. All the Bills can do now is move on and focus on a quality replacement.
  16. Dude, if WM does not sign and is still a Bill in July, He will hold out!! There is no speculation, that's a fact. That's the way contract negotiation work unfortunately.
  17. If you would read more carefully, you would see that I wrote unless WM signs with the Bills he will hold out of training camp. I never said the Willis wanted out, just that he would not sign at the end of next season.
  18. Here are the flaws with keeping WM as I see it. His contract is up at the end of this season and he is going to want huge money. Without a contract, Willis will hold out of training camp for sure, do we want the distraction? Is it a big deal if he holds out, from a playing point of view? I really don't know, I think he could miss camp and still perform well in the regular season. Is it a big deal if he holds out, from a team perspective? Most likely, I don't think it creates a cohesive locker room. The goal is to win yes, but realistically this year will not be the year the Bills make a SB run. And when the season is over, there is no way Willis signs with the Bills. Whether they want him or not, he is gone. He would not sign with a team that would not re-negotiate his current contract. So, do the Bills let WM audition for another team this year and then lose him at the end of the season. Or, do they cut their ties with him and get someone else at RB to help the offense mature for this year as well as next season. I believe the second option is more feasible. Now hopefully he gets traded for a second, and we can move on to other topics!!!
  19. Well, I'm typing what I am saying. If he gets hurt in training camp or pre-season, there is no more money Dan. He will not get another contract with guaranteed money. If the Bills do not trade him he will sit our training camp, there is no doubt about it. I don't know if he would risk sitting out the season, i would seriously doubt that. But he will not take a risk in training camp if he does not have a contract beyond this year.
  20. The problem with this theory is that if we keep Willis, he will not participate in training camp. Coming off as serious of a leg injury as he had in college, he will not risk playing this season with no contract for next year. I do believe he would only have to play in 8 regular season games to collect his full pay, so I wouldn't expect to see him in training camp (as a Bill at least). This is why there is twice as much pressure on the Bills brass to deal him this offseason.
