Here's the comic...Link In season 1 wasn't Walt reading a comic book which had the picture of the polar bear on it? Also, how about the picture of "smokey" on young Locke's wall?

I am thinking that moving the island doesn't necessarily mean picking up the island and placing it somewhere else, I think it means moving the island to another place in time. As it stands now you have to use exact bearings to get on and off the island, by moving it in time, those bearing would no longer be valid. Also, the "soldier" received a message stating the doctors body had washed up on shore about 5 minutes before the doctor was actually killed. If this is indeed the case, I do not know how the "Oceanic 6" would ever find the island again, but it does make it all the more interesting. Just a theory, but it's the only thing that makes sense to me now. thoughts?

Short of a one night stand informing you of her STD the next morning, is there really that much "bad news" for a single guy. So and so is engaged translates to, "SWEET....no commitment!!!!, in single talk...

Great, another internet tough guy. "Hmmmm. a hot shot who is sitting home. Biron is more than a career back up. how did he do against the sabres this year ?" is considered replying with a few idea's? I never said wether or not I agreed with the decision, just stating the facts as they were at that point and time. I never gave my opinion, so your 30 years of experience mean nothing to me....

Sportsmanship is alive & well in some parts.
ricojes replied to Beerball's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Exactly, according to the ESPN piece the coach asked the Ump what is the ruling if she cannot touch all the bases, and the ump responded with "a 2 run single". So, they had no clue on the rule. The really sad part is that if you watch the replay, both umpires are watching the ball and not the runner. They would have no idea that she missed 1st base. -

Yes that's exactly what was reported and what you highlighted in my post. "You can indeed have a replacement runner for a injured player who hits a home run." -

Just watched a segment on ESPN about this story. Very good sportsmanship! But the best part of it is that the officials were wrong in their ruling. You can indeed have a replacement runner for a injured player who hits a home run. But now that wouldn't have been much of a story would it.... -
Probably shouldn't even respond to idiots who don't read others posts completely, but here it goes. I did say "at the time", those were the Sabres choices. And you can't really dispute that those were the choices, Marty was a back up for the majority of his career and Miller was the up and coming goalie. Please take time to read others posts completely, before giving a half a$$ reply and yet again play the Monday morning quarterback role. Shoulda, coulda, woulda's are very easy a year later...

pretty corny, if you ask me...

I believe that was a flash forward for Sun and a flash back for Jin, back to when he was working for Sun's father. They played them simultaneously to give the illusion that Jin was indeed off the island, but really it was in the past.

He does look bigger then ever, man that dude is huge. Heart attack waiting to happen...

Very good points, i do like the "epiphany" you had. But I do think Sawyer calling from the island is indeed and outlandish idea. The way Kate was talking, the tone of her voice, the calmness, there is no way she was speaking directly to Sawyer. She would most likely feel very remorseful for being off the island if that was the case. She told Jack she was doing something for Sawyer, maybe it was a request to Kate before she left the island to call someone and take care of some loose ends for him. He is evolving, so maybe he's trying to right a wrong from his past.

Marty is a good goalie that is playing great in the first two rounds. He wore down during the regular season and was actually benched for a brief time. I have to laugh at all these second guessers and Monday morning quarterbacks on this board. It's easy to sit down after the fact and determine whether or not it was a good decision. And at the time, it was either Marty or Ryan. One would have to go, an 8 year backup goalie or a young, hot shot goalie that had a really good college career and was playing well in the NHL. I wish Marty the best, but it's early to make that call in just 2 series of hockey. Let's see if he can stop the very high powered offense of the Pens, should they both make it into the conference finals. My philosophy has always been the goalies really come into their own later in the their career. It's a rarity that a goalie comes into the league and dominates throughout his whole career, add the fact that goalies rely heavily on their defense and you can see why. Having been in the league now for 10 years, Marty is learning to trust his defense and "cheating" on plays in which he believes the defense will deny a pass or be in good position. This trust can only be established with a solid defense. Ryan Miller does not have trust in his defense at all, and why would he. He can't sit back and say, ok the D is going to shut down the right side, so I'll cheat a bit to the left to be ready for that last second pass. Buffalo's D was horrible this year and yet Miller gets all the blame. I don't know if Miller will ever be a great goalie, but I know there would be less concern with a solid defense in front of him.

Sounds like a good time. Myself and a couple friends are considering a trip to the draft next year, assuming it's still in NYC. How early did you get in line? what time would you recommend? Was it chaotic finding a seat or place to stand once entering Radio City? Thanks...
