That's why it's useless posting topics like this, because the holier than thou types know exactly what they would do. They can put themselves in another's shoes and know 100% exactly what they would do should they be in that situation. And of course, that action is always the morally correct and honorable thing to do no matter what the situation or consequence. Myself on the other hand, I am a realist. I like to deal with facts, not hypothetical's. If I were out drinking and driving late at night, which I have done many times when I was in my 20's [sarcasm]even though it is morally wrong to be doing that..blah blah blah [/sarcasm], I would probably crap my pants if I accidentally hit someone. I have absolutely no idea what I would do. Part of me would want to stop, but I would be looking at a DWI for sure plus addition charges, might lose my job and embarrass my wife and family. That's a lot to think about in a split second. I can honestly say, I would hope that I would stop. But if I were in that situation, I have no idea what I would do. For all you posters that jump all over posts like this because you think assumptions are being made, I am NOT saying that ML was drinking in driving, just giving an example!!

That game was just awesome. Talk about a nightmare start for the Celtics, couldn't make a bucket or defend to save their life. The formula for beating the Lakers is simple, shut down Kobe and you have a great chance to win. The Lakers have a nice supporting cast, but no one to go to other than KB. The Celtics are a deep team that doesn't depend on one player. I thought the Ray Allen drive to make it a 5 point lead late in the gaem summed up the difference in these teams. When RA had the ball it was one on one and the Celts were spread out, no one on the Lakers knew who was going to end up with the ball. Turns out RA used that to his advantage and drove the lane with no Lakers there to help. If the Lakers were in that same situation, it's pretty obvious who's getting the ball. Every defender would be cheating towards the lane waiting to help on D. All in all a great game if you're a Celtics fan or Laker hater.....

Who were the other 3 Bills in Marshawn's SUV?
ricojes replied to RayFinkle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Who are 3 guys that have never been in my kitchen, Alex??? -
I did not say "this is what ML did", only explaining the difference between being a cheap/broke college kid and a star or celebrity that think they are king. If any of it is true, which I have my doubts, I hope this is not what happed with ML. But if it is true, it would be pretty funny to see ML sneaking booze into his cup, which I doubt would be the case. It's an opinion, we could go back and forth forever over every little point, but this is getting boring... Exactly!!! But my guess is Crystal....

Maybe lucky isn't the best word, how about fortunate. I would love to have the talent and would be happy to work "damn hard" to get paid an insane amount of money...

I hope it's not true, I really hate hearing about these pampered athletes with sh-- attitudes. I do not believe everything I read, especially in the Buffalo News, but if it is true it's disheartening. It depends..If you believe there` should be speeding limits at certain times of day are stupid, that's your opinion and there's nothing wrong with that. Now if you believe you're above the law and go well above those posted speed limits, or go through stop signs and red lights because they are stupid or because you believe they are wrong or just don't care, that would be cavalier.

When you "think stuff is overpriced", in this case booze, you might sneak a bottle of booze in a bar. You'd order a pepsi or whatever and then inconspicuously poor some of the booze into the drink. But when you blatantly carry in a bottle of booze and poor it into a mixer in full view of everyone, that's believing that you are above the rules. That is a "my sh-- don't stink, look at me" statement right there. There's a big difference and I do hope he "grows out" of that arrogant @sshole attitude....

My post has nothing to do with the hit and run incident. I have no idea what happened and will not comment on it unil I do. It's the other stuff in the article, bad interpretation dude...

It's a common negative post by that particular poster. It has more to do with the postee than the post itself...

Looks like ML has the "I'm an NFL player, you can't touch me" attitude. I really didn't get that impression when he was drafted, he seemed pretty humble. But I guess millions of dollars will change things a bit. It's discouraging to hear some of this stuff. Athletes are so lucky to be making insane amounts of money for playing a game, it's a shame that some think they are untouchable... Link

RIP Mitch... Looks like it might have been a heart attack...

Talk about a "here's your sign" moment...

Celtics played as poor as they could have played and only lost by 6. IMO they need to win one of these games in LA to wrap up the title, as they should be able to win one of two at home. I just see the Celts as a better team with a much deaper bench. Celtics in 6...

Tickets are selling like crazy! 52,000 +
ricojes replied to lets_go_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think 8000 sounds about right. They most likely save some for season tickets initially, then probably open it up to group sales, plus the tickets reserved for the players. There will most likely be additional individual game tickets available before the start of the season. But currently while demand is high, it's probably a good time to sell those additional tickets you purchased. I never bought additional tickets before, but this year I have 2 for the opener and 2 for the Browns game, and still want to get a pair of additional seasons in a prime location. They've been selling above face for the past couple years, it really is a good investment. GO BILLS!!! -
Good move taking the wife first and g/f second. The wife may have caught on that you had been there before...

Tickets are selling like crazy! 52,000 +
ricojes replied to lets_go_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am just pointing out that there is a lot of money in this area and I am not at all surprised by the sale of tickets. I may not have all the inside data, but I know Benderson has projects planned in Amherst. There are many new developments being built in Amherst, most almost completely sold. I don't think you can really "debunk" any of that as there not myths but facts, I can only comment on Amherst because that's where I live. But it can't be much different in OP, Clarence, or Williamsville. When I go out on the weekends every restaurant, bar, and store is packed, people are spending money. Maybe it's all smoke and mirrors, but it sure seems like there is a lot of money in this area. I'll stand by my comments that the suburbs are not as economically depressed as the city of Buffalo. -

Yes, the city of Buffalo is economically depressed. But the suburbs are thriving, housing complexes are popping up everywhere. And these are some really nice developments, huge homes being built. The Bills play in one of the richest suburbs of WNY. People tend to encompass the City of Buffalo and the entire region as depressed, when that could not be further from the truth. So the ticket sales really don't surprise me, what surprises me as that the sales aren't as brisk every year. -
Weeds starts on Monday the 16th, looking forward to it. Diary of a Call Girl is the new show that debut's after, may be worth a look by the title alone...

From the Buffalo News: “The bottom line is, when someone has criminal convictions in the [united States], we look to see how that conviction would apply to our laws in Canada,” said Madona Mokbel, a spokeswoman for Citizenship & Immigration Canada. “There are guidelines, but we decide these issues on a case by case basis.” While not commenting directly on Lynch’s situation, Mokbel said entertainment and sports figures sometimes receive a “temporary resident permit” to enter Canada, even if they have a criminal conviction that would exclude most people from the country. “Our government would look at the risk of the individual coming into our country, balanced against the benefit of them coming in,” Mokbel said. “If a person is a rock star or somebody who is going to come in and benefit Canada’s tourism, they might qualify for a temporary permit.” **************************** The bottom line is money! If ML is a "benefit to Canada's tourism", he will be granted a temporary resident permit. The ACC hosts concerts all the time and I know a handful of those musicians had some serious records, but it's a benefit to Toronto's wallet. No need to worry... And I have no idea where they got there information about no games in Canada any time soon???

Single Game Seats for STH
ricojes replied to GhostsOfTheRockpile's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was on hold for 30 minutes starting at 9, but managed to get through. Of course the only available tickets are upper deck. They are saving the others for possible season ticket purchases, nice....
