  1. There's also a new reality show from the creators of Ice Truckers, Ax Men, and Deadliest Catch, it pits people against each other in very difficult and dangerous jobs. The preview I caught had them capping a gushing oil well, they must have to sign a thick pile of wavers before getting the go to be on this show. I'll see if I can find a link... found this gem: A new show set to debut next fall is called "Last Man Standing" - in which Western athletes subject themselves to native tribal rituals deep in the rainforest. But couldn't find the other.
  2. The Bills are mainly dealing with "B" players as apposed to their "A" players. There you go, perfect, just leave it as that. Once you throw race into the equation, you lose all credibility and sound ridiculous. If the season starts and LE is not signed and JP is holding out, I might agree somewhat with that statement...
  3. Sorry dude, skipped over that like 1billsfan did...
  4. Many great players can't accept that they are done. Bruce Smith was ok with Washington and the Bills lost him mainly because of the salary cap mess left by Butler. Thomas did nothing in Miami and I don't think Reed even made a final roster after Buffalo. Kelly contimplated returning to play for Baltimore shortly after his retirement, so I'm not sure what your point is. Forgot to add that they renegotiated McGee's contract, or does that not fit into your argument?
  5. Beebe, Christy, Wolford, Shane Conlan, Ray Bentley, Pete Metzelaars...
  6. Which is one of the reasons RB wants him in camp before he sits down to talk contract renegotiation. It may seem a bit harsh, but it's smart business...
  7. Why did I come back to this thread? This is the biggest piece of crap post to date. Prejudice? Are you F-kcing kidding me! Just an idiotic statement.
  8. The opposing players usually stay at the Marriott right behind it, so be sure to make some noise the night before. Last year I hopped on the 290 from Millersport before the opener and was right behind the Bronco's bus. I was honking and waving my Bills hat as I passed, the motorcycle cop leading the way gave me a nod of approval...
  9. Wow, what a comment. I can see this discussion has turned to fiction and speculation. Have fun with that, later...
  10. Well whatever, you can interpret any way you like. They had little contact, IMHO there should be way more contact if a player I represent is losing 15k a day by holding out. But I can just go by what I hear or read, I don't have the inside scoop...
  11. I posted this in another thread, it's and interview of RB on WGR: Link He states he's had little contact regarding Peters, but says Peters agent knows where the Bills stand.
  12. I can only go by what's reported or said, I don't like to speculate. But listen to RB on WGR, here's the link: Link It sounds like they are working hard to get this deal done. I have not lost hope, but they do need to get it done before the season starts... EDIT--This wasn't the interview I heard yesterday, it was actually this morning. But he does mention Lee's situation.
  13. Queue the "defense develops faster than the offense" standard line...
  14. They are definitely aware that Peters is unhappy as he didn't show up to any OTA's, is not at training camp, and are questioned about it in every interview. RB said several times that he has not had any direct contact with JP or agent, I don't think that's impossible to believe. They need to meet, that's the bottom line. None of this negotiating through the media bull sh--!! We have so many former GM's on this board with all the answers and inside scoop, I'm just a Bills fan that calls it like I see it based on the facts reported...
  15. And was Gilbert in the last year of his contract? Peters would have to sit out 3 straights and then I don't believe he even becomes a free agent, I think the Bills still retain his rights (correct?). Anyway, he or his agent really need to get together with the Bills brass. That's the bottom line, if they sit back and wait for a call it will be a long hold out...
  16. Give me a break dude. The Bills are in negotiation with Evens currently, RB stated that getting LE signed is their number one priority. Peters contract has 3 years left, Evans expires at the end of this year. Let's use a little logic here! I have faith that the Bills will come to an agreement with Evans, then they can move onto the next priority which may or may not be Peters. I think the new Bills brass are doing a fine job! Let's give them a chance here and not jump all over them because there is one hold veteran hold out, which has had no direct contact with the Bills regarding his situation.
  17. The problem is that there has been absolutely no direct contact with the Bills brass regarding this situation. RB was on WGR yesterday and is quoted in the paper today stating that he has no contact with Peters since the end of last season. He said he is dealing with his agent, but that was to get Hardy signed as they have the same agent. So, how do you begin to renegotiate a contract without dialog? I don't blame Peters, but I think his agent isn't doing anything necessary to resolve the issue. If Peters just sits back and pays his fines while his agent does nothing, then he really does need a raise because he obviously isn't too smart with his money...
  18. One of the most original wedding gifts I was a part of was our favorite football teams jersey with nicknames on the back. Also, got a Bills hat and bottle of favorite booze (Crown) in one wedding as well. Can't go wrong with the standard monogrammed flask and booze, I still use mine for tailgating...
  19. Been meaning to try DUO, thanks for the heads up. Just an FYI, you can only use one certificate per visit.
  20. I agree 100%, the Jets do have some talent. With a better QB I would be very worried about them...
  21. Well, they were 7-9 with no QB or RB and were in the SB a couple years ago. I have to believe that Favre at QB for Chicago would equal at least a couple more wins, which would put them in the playoffs.
  22. Just about every team and fan goes into week one optimistic. Opening day in football is like no other sport, it's only the first game of the year, yet it's so important to get out to a good start. I am always amped for the Bills season opener, fortunately most have been home in recent years. Can't wait for the party to begin....GO BILLS!!!! Of course we would be very disappointed if the Bills do not make the playoffs, there is someone who posts this question every year. But the following year around this time the same revving up for the opening day banter will begin and the previous year will be forgotten with renewed hopes for the upcoming season.
  23. A condender probably can bring in an established QB, I don't think it's that far fetched. But you have to be pretty good to start with despite your QB, I would say Chicago, Minnesota, Carolina & Tampa could definitely compete for the SB by bringing in someone like Favre. But most likely a real run would be in year 2 though...
