Fear not people. Just heard on 97 Rock this morning that a guy at a bar, who has inside information, said that the Peters situation has been resolved and he will be in camp soon. Larry Norton displaying investigative journalism at its finest!

You're member number 8,969, there are a lot of members here. You may have heard a lot of different opinions on this board, doesn't mean everyone agrees. Don't lump everyone together, just because some may not have a grasp of reality. We need Peters, there's no denying it...

The D line is vital part of a team, but there is nothing that can be done about it now. Save these posts for the off-season, and if the Bills D line does indeed have a bad year, then we can discuss moves. We have what we have for this year, unless there is a surprise cut from another team. All we can do is cheer what we have and not what we want...

Just his personal crusade against the Bills defensive line, nothing new here...

IMO, Rodgers looked OK last night

One thing I noticed last night was that on a designed deep play, Rodgers dropped back a full 10 yards. He missed the pass, but had time. When you know your going to heave it downfield, doesn't it make sense for a QB to take a deeper drop? I cannot recall a Bills QB dropping back that far. Just an observation, don't even know if it's a good thing to do, but it seems to make sense. -
Nice post, including facts to back your point. But there is one key stat you left out and that's salary. The Bills organization does not want to shell out the money required to land a great coach. In other words, you get what you pay for... It's not that only positive viewpoints are allowed, that's ridiculous. It's just when a poster, yourself for example, gets a reputation for ALWAYS being negative, it gets old really fast... Lol, now that's funny...

Rodgers looked pretty good. His int bounced off his receiver and Driver dropped a ball on their first series or his stats would have looked even better. And he played a good amount, 4 series is good work for early pre-season. On the other side, Palmer played quite a bit as well and both offenses got better with each series. I am very concerned that DJ refuses to play the first unit more than 2 series. He said they would play about the same amount of time this week as well. It's just not enough time for a very young team. Hopefully I am wrong, but this offense needs all the work it can get. Scary, I guess JP does have leverage after all.... -
50th anniversary of UB's only bowl bid

I read about this last week and was going to post and forgot all about it. It truly is an amazing story.... -
Same here. I can discard pre-season game one, but definitely need to see improvement in games 2 and 3 to feel better about this team...

I actually saw a few blatant holds that were not called. May be a bit of homer, but I rewound and saw a couple nice take downs. The Kelsay hold was finally called after a couple went uncalled. Kelsay did play well...
-
I agree with most of that, but he has to play more than 2 series. I don't care if it's the first pre-season game, let him play at least a full quarter. Hopefully Thursday he will play well into, if not all, of the second quarter. He needs the reps, this is not veteran QB.

Well it's not going to happen now, you'll have to wait until the offseason for an "upgrade". This team is still a work in progress, but they have come a long way from the last couple years. Still not perfect, but I think they can surpise some people this year. They are close to being a playoff team, but far from a SB contender. We are stuck with what we have for this year, so let's cheer for what we have and not what we want...GO BILLS!

With that attituded, you'll fit right in with Adam, 1billsfan, BLZFAN4LIFE, and many others here, that's for sure. I do agree that the Bills do not have great DE's, the most overpaid maybe a little extreme though. But having no pass rush in the first pre-season game isn't the end of the season. I don't think the Bills blitzed once, so let's wait just a little longer before we label this team DOOOOOMED...

Maybe, but Shouman did run the wrong pattern. I am not going to debate it. I am sure they practiced it many times running the correct route with success, with the wrong route not so much...

We still talking fantasy?

He's new. It's kind funny before you see the same joke posted a thousand times...
-
Late steal? He was a second rounder. But I do think he's going to be a good one...
-
Here you go throwing logic into the conversation, what's wrong with you... You're exactly right, JP start with a nice pass where only Roscoe can catch it. Then Shouman runs a wrong/poor route and gets tangled up with the safety, the only thing TE did wrong on that play was trusting his tight end to be where he was supposed to be. The next play Hardy doesn't recognize to cut his route short and there is a miscommunication. I really don't recall TE's fourth pass of the game, but the fifth everyone was covered and it was pretty much a throw away. My biggest problem is not giving TE's more reps with an incredibly young team out there, not with TE's stats.

I read somewhere that LeBron wants to be a billionaire. $50 mill/season would get him there a lot faster...
-
That was all on Shouman, he ran his route too deap and got tangled up with the safety. The only knock on Edwards on that play was that maybe he put too much trust that Shouman was going to run his route properly. As Flutie would say, watch the film....

If by we you mean TBD, then yes, there always is. If by we you mean the Bills, than no. No controversy.

2007 Buffalo Bills NFL Yearbook show
ricojes replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This was definitely one of the worste highlight films I can remember. Usually, even after a 2-14 season, you get a good feeling after watching it. I can't really explain why, it just give optimism for the upcoming season that this one lacked. They tried to do it, but it just didn't work. I don't know if there was a segment missing, but it didn't seem like it. It was kind of boring, and yes last season wasn't action packed, but usually it's edited to give a sense of excitement for the upcoming season if the previous was poor. -
Yes, I know. And you can purchase some of the cheaper software and get it pretty close to perfect on your own.

The parts a very easy to replace. If you are going the new TV route anyway, at least open the old one up and take a look. Locate the parts in question and see if you could do it yourself, I think you'll be surprised how easy it is. And paying someone $300 to calibrate your TV is a little crazy, that's another thing you can learn to do yourself. You spent time researching your issue, spend some time researching the optimal settings for your model. It's easy to say get a new TV when it's not your money, so asking here probably isn't going to give you the best answer...
