I heard Colin Cowherd today say that Trent Edwards
ricojes replied to buffaloboyinATL's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Payton Manning showed up for the 4th quarter of the Minnesota game, but was non-existent the other 3. And I still believe he's a top 10 QB. I am not disputing your point, but it's a little unrealistic to think that a top 10 QB plays well in every qtr of every game. I don't think TE's is a top 10 guy yet and he will have his shaky moments this year. But I have seen enough improvement from week to week to believe he has the potential to be a top 10 QB!!!! -
krazykat was the biggest Jauron basher this off-season. he's been quiet with the Bills winning, but I'm sure he'll be back after the first loss...

Yikes, I don't remember that at all. As much as this board discussed Losman, I don't believe anyone rated him in the top 10 at any point of his Bills career. Although I was hoping he would be. As for Trent, he's not top 10 yet. But he definitely has the potential to be. He's only 24, Jim Kelly was playing for the Houston Gamblers at age 24. No one knows how good he will be, but his future looks bright....GO BILLS!!! -

Raider: yeah, they're tied Langston.. LW: Thanks, can't see them... -
I was going to post this as well if I found a link to the picture, but I didn't even look. I noticed it at the game a line of almost all the Bills taking a knee and linking arms. It reminded me of the SB, which in turn scared the crap out of me as RL was taking the field. But really a great show of unity...

Denver could easily be 1-2 SD could easily be 2-0 going into tonight Colts could easily be 0-3 Giants could easily be 2-1 Miami could easily be 2-1 Jets could easily be 0-2 yada, yada, yada you've got to remember that there is a lot of parity in the NFL, games are won and lost by the slimmest of margins. Too many times in recent years the Bills were losing these close games and we were saying, "they should be 2-1, or whatever." The bottom line is no matter how they got there, they are 3-0....GO BILLS!!!

Wasn't that a Jim Kelly sneak for the victory in 1989? So, that would mean that this was the first walk off regulation FG. That can't be right, can it?

guess who leads the league in 3rd down defense?

Thinking Buffalo at Den is ripe for primetime

If the Browns continue their downfall, then I believe the week before is more plausible. With all the media Favre love, it makes sense... -
I am no longer attracted to Pam Anderson..............................Not!!

The Raiders played hard and physical! They are not as bad as a lot of people think. They have a big defensive front and gave the Bills all they could handle. They have a very good secondary, Wilson getting ejected was a huge loss for them yesterday and the Bills quickly took advantage of it. They have 2 very good RB's, McFadden is so quick and has great vision and Bush is huge. They have a QB with size and a cannon for an arm, I think Russell will be very good with more experience. I can see them going 7-9 this season and being contenders next year. I was telling people all week to take the points, but I never bet with my heart or my money. I thought the Bills would win a close one (not that close), but I didn't think they were 9.5 points better. Some here will dismiss the win, because it was the "lowly" Raiders. But I think that was a very impressive and hard fought victory. 3-0 with 2 AFC wins, can't forget how big these conference wins are if it comes down to tie breakers. Was it a thing of beauty? Absolutely not, but how long has it been since the Bills could win a game without bringing their "A" game? I believe they will continue to improve and gain confidence as the year goes on. This could be a very special season and the return of the Buffalo Bills as legitimate contenders for a long time to come. This was the fullest I have seen the Ralph way after the game was over in years. As a long time season ticket holder it's great to have this feeling again. Especially all the cheering as we exited the stadium. The fun and excitement is back, enjoy it Bills fans, we've suffered long enough.....GO BILLS!!!

Trent took a beating yesterday, he has to be hurting this morning. Yet he continued to get back up and deliver great passes with linemen in his face all day. 24/39, 1 TD, and 1 questionable pick, plus at least 5 dropped passes. Trent showed guts and determination that whole game. He has the potential to become a great QB in this league.

Oakland had the first pick in the 2nd and 3rd round, so I don't think it's that far fetched that they would have used one of those picks (most likely the latter) to grab Edwards. I don't get that impression at all. What he said was not a knock against Russell at all. He didn't say I wish we would have drafted Edwards instead of Russell. Every team has numberous draft boards going into the draft, layed out with numberous situations. One of the Raiders scenario's had them picking someone other than JR, probably Joe Thomas. And then going to a QB later in the draft, in this case Edwards. I don't see how that has anything to do with the current situation of the Raiders and in no way does it show a lack of confidence in JR. I really believe JR is going to be a good QB. But maybe the Raiders would have been better off selecting Joe Thomas and Trent Edwards in that draft, luckily we'll never know. I agree. W Sapp stated on inside the NFL this week that there too many bosses in Oakland for the team to function. And it's not just Al Davis, it sounds like a truley messed up organization. They need to gut the organization internally before this team starts winning. -
Check this thread on a jest board ref the Bills

We'll see how you feel about your "fellow New Yorkers" the week of 11/2. We'll also see how much they compliment the Bills or how classy they are during that week as well. I have a feeling they will not be as nice, nor will we. The Jets just lost, so they were humbled. I still believe they have a pretty good team, and the Bills match-ups will be very good games... -

Yeah, I heard it on WGR. If they would have gone another direction in the draft and JR was not the Raiders first pick, they would have drafted TE's in the second round. Not too surprising, he went to Stanford so I am sure they were well aware of him. Good to know that other teams thought highly of him though, even though it's the Raiders. -
Turned out not to be, I just initially posed a question and just wanted some clarification. After kota said it was a mistake, I had no issue with it and dropped it. I just think the Dr's comment was idiotic, that's all. So if I need to lighten up, so be it. And i do know that every THREAD is not serious, thanks mr peace maker! But I do have boundaries, even though most here do not, and have to ask moral questions from time to time. but thanks, next topic "the war in Iraq", let the one liners begin.... An underlying story line
ricojes replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Walker has been a great team player for the Bills. He reluctantly moved to LT in Jason Peter's absence, and played well. Last week he rotated positions and played both LT and RT, and some switches were made mid-drive. DJ said that was the first time in his career he used a rotating offensive line in a regular season game. Walker gained weight to play RT, which is why he was hesitant to play LT, but he still played well. Hopefully he holds a grudge and brings an attitude out on the field on Sunday. This week the line should return to normal and I look for the run game to have a huge day, 100 yard rushing day from ML and 100 total yards from FJ.....GO BILLS!!!!! -
Wow...REALLY soft schedule could mean 11-5 or 12-4 easily

Varying opinions of teams 2 weeks into the season is very common. That's the thing about the season only being 2 weeks old, no one truly knows how good or how bad most teams are at this point and time. -
