Didn't turn it on until half time. Saw the score and said, "oh well 21-0 USC", nothing to see here. Took a few minutes for it to register it was the Beavers with the lead. Once I saw that, I had to check out the second half. USC will drop and most likely not see #1 again. The Pac 10 is perceived to be weak this year, so an in-conference loss kills them. I don't watch enough Pac 10 football to agree or disagree with the perceived conference weakness, but I hear it on all the sports talk shows.

Looks like the same dude, but at least he's wearing a Bills jersey and a hat to cover the skullett...

Here's the myspace link. It's actually his band site, he's the drummer. I found it by googling his email address, ADISYOUKAT@YAHOO.COM, which I got off the orders he placed. I created a bogus yahoo account and sent him the following: So Ari, I see you stole my credit card number and made some purchases B word. Well, I am hot on your trail. Nice picture of the band by the way, are you all in on federal crimes? Just wondering if only you or the whole band will be playing the skin flute in prison. Like an idiot he replies with "B word" from his blackberry, so now I know who his cell provider is and probably can hunt down his number.

A couple years ago BJ's got hacked and we received a letter from GM (Our CC company at the time) stating that BJ's was hacked and our cc number was potentially compromised. They said they were cancelling the card and issuing a new number. This time we heard about the BJ's hack and didn't receive anything from our current cc company, Chase. So, I guess I will be paying cash from now on at BJ's.
-
So, BJ's gets hacked and someone steals my CC#. Spends about $800 and then the CC Company refuses purchases until I approve. I call the CC Company to inform of the issue and they remove the charges, close the card, and issue another one. First set of questions, what does the CC Company do next? Do they go after the thief? I decided to do my own investigation and found out where the purchases were made and contacted each company and asked them to send me the purchase order. Through that information, I found out that the thief is from Indonesia and I now know his name, address, email, blackberry carrier (because the idiot was stupid enough to return an email I sent anonymously), and even found his myspace page. I know what the c@cks---ker looks like. So, is there anything I can do? Will authorities go after anyone in Indofreakinnesia for a crime of less than $1000? I really want to nail this b@stard!!! Please advise, of course the usual TBD jokes are welcome as long as they are indeed funny....

Alvin Bowen was a big loss. Special teams ace in college... -
ok, they must have referenced them both, found this excerpt: "They say two things happen when you get older. One is you begin to forget things," Levy said, before pausing. "And I can't remember what the other one is right now." Later, when asked if he believed he had the physical stamina to do the job, Levy put his hand to his ear and said with a smile: "Would you repeat that question?" But don't let his age fool you. "The age factor means nothing to me," said Levy, noting he runs 3 miles five times a week. "I'm old enough to know my limitations and I'm young enough to exceed them." That, however, didn't prevent the 87-year-old Wilson from getting into the act, introducing Levy by saying: "I'm very proud to bring some youth to this organization." Smiling, Wilson added: "With me and Marv, you can nickname us in the pro football world, the Two Golden Boys."

I thought it was the Golden Boys?

Sounds like a pretty cool event, Link. A bonus for the out of towners attending the Monday night game... I was driving by the Aud today and they are slowly dismantling the outside. It's an eye sore, but a lot of great memories...

The Spooky Correlation between
ricojes replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The NFC East was tough last year as well. 3 out of 4 teams making the playoffs and of course the Giants winning it all. That's a very tough division... -
I agree. The Raiders are a pretty good team, they will be very good in the next couple years. I didn't have a good feeling about last week, as I knew it would be a closer game than many expected. I would have taken the points if I were a gambling man. But this Rams team is weak and are no where near being a good team, so I expect the Bills to play well and win by a couple scores. The Rams have scored 29 points in 3 weeks, I think the defense will shut them down. I also believe the offense will rack up the rushing yards this week. GO BILLS!!! A Raider O'line that helped the team rush for 300 yards against the Chefs....

Tough crowd here! Starting the show the same way, big deal. I grew up with "It's 11 o'clock, do you know where your children are", so I guess it doesn't phase me. But, I heard it as well. He mentioned that he see's this as being the Bills year with a wide open East. Said Trent is special, Lynch is tough, Defense is very good, and it's a well coached team. It was nice to hear for a change. GO BILLS!!!

Glad you mentioned that, here is my mock draft and FA list for next season: Yeah right!!! We're 3 weeks into the season with a 3-0 record and we're wondering who next years backup QB might be?

Interesting observation from the game
ricojes replied to nodnarb's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We noticed from the stands that Peters was not in there at times. Unfortunately, with his hold out, it's going to take time. But if he wants his big pay day, he better start playing at a much higher level pretty fast. Not that great of a bargaining chip when he's replaced by an undrafter player and Chambers shuts down the man that was burning him!!! -
It's been said here many times, but Showtime rocks! Weeds just ended another entertaining season. Californication is a well written show, the one liners are amazing. Dexter is just edge of your seat entertaining, one of my favorite shows of all time. And the Tutors, which I believe starts back up in January, is a great show as well. I am really looking forward to Dexter this Sunday though. I saw a little teaser and it looks great, for those that didn't see the teaser . Not too much information, but didn't want to give anything away to those who like to be surprised.

Did anyone catch the jack@ss CBS announce crew..
ricojes replied to Heels20X6's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Are you kidding me, were you there? Except for the Dallas game, that was the fullest I have seen the stadium well after the end of a game in a long long time. There are people that leave early every game, even if it's tied. I never understood it, but it happens all the time. Insinuating that a lot of fans left the stadium after that score is way off base, unless your definition of a lot is a few hundred. Or is this more of that funny sarcasm that I've been hearing so much about? -

Bruce was always very modest....
ricojes replied to JoeFerguson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just read the above post, Bruce breaks down how he is indeed better than Deacon and Reggie. I heard it yesterday on press pass, I'll see if I can find a link to the presser.... -
While it's not obvious that they are not team players at all, it doesn't look good that they are the only two standing in that picture. Of course, if you had a shot of the whole sideline you would see others not participating as well. There could be numerous reasons as to why, so let's not start the ridiculous "not team players" speculation.

Yes, TE's was held out of the last couple pre-season games as well. I could use several other QB's as examples, but selected PM. Guess I should have selected some who was healthy during the pre-season to better illustrate my point, my bad... -
My wife's school district received an email from Dereks family, it reads as follows: Derek Andrews moves on to Round 2 in SI Kid of the year contest Thank You!!! Thank You!!! Thank You!!! Thank You!!! Thank you to everyone who voted for Derek!!! With your help, Derek has made it to the second round of the Sports Illustrated Kid of the Year Contest. We also want to thank everyone for the kind and inspirational notes that we received through email replies. It is truly amazing to see how many people are supporting and praying for Derek. In the words of his Former Amherst Hockey Coach Bob Rossi: "To be a truly great athlete one must first be a great person. The achievements Derek has already accomplished in his young life away from the playing fields and the ice arenas are a big part of this recipe. They show he is on his way to becoming what we as parents and coaches hope all kids develop into, great members of our community. His situation has brought him to an understanding of courage, adversity and sacrifice much earlier than any of us would want for anyone, especially a young boy of almost 8 years". Now that Derek has made it to the second round, the voting resets back to zero and will continue until noon on Monday, September 29th. Derek must be in the top 4 finalists at noon on Monday, September 29th, to make it to the next round. Please remember to log onto www.sikids.com, click on the SKOTY (Sports Kid of the Year) link and vote for Derek. Please also forward this email to as many people as possible. It will take a community effort to help Derek overcome some very tough competition. We have attached our original email to this email for those who do not know about Derek’s story and why we think he is the Kid of the Year. You can vote as many times as you want, daily at www.sikids.com. Thank you to everyone for your help and support (And Votes)!!!!
