Orchard Park High School Football
ricojes replied to PearlHowardman's topic in Off the Wall Archives
They are winning, but it's early, let's not get ahead of ourselves. They really need to establish the run better and the line has been atrocious. The defense has been good, but they start slow. It takes them too long to adjust. They do have a weak schedule this year, so that should help. But haven't played anybody to this point. I will reserve judgment on this team for now, even though they are 4-0. -
As much as the whole Toronto deal sucks, I hope there are a lot of Bills fans in attendance. Glad to hear you are going, I am hoping for a full house of Bills fans. At least make it feel somewhat like a home game. Even if it's indoors in December . Personally I will not be going, but maybe in year 5, when the novelty wears off, I can score some cheap tickets. I don't really believe the normal fan attendance, unless ridiculously low, is going to determine whether this Toronto experiment is a success or not. I think the real test is the corporate suites and sponsorship, which I haven't heard anything about. Have fun...

Let's get down to business here TBD
ricojes replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So to summarize, you give the nod to the Bills passing defense and the nod to Arizona's passing offense. And you give the nod to the Arizona's rushing defense and the nod to Buffalo's rushing offense. What exactly does that mean? -
Yeah, that really blows that I will not be able to re-live the Bills SB losses....darn!

Do it now! BE's would be a great addition to your team. Chris Perry is very good, but if you don't have a flex, there is no need to be loaded at RB. Well, actually the reason to be loaded at RB is to trade for a top receiver....

I have a mixed CD that I listen to on the way to games. Leading off is "Bodies" (Let the bodies hit the floor) by Drowning Pool, "Respect" by Pantera, "Du Hast" by Rammstein, and "Beer" by Psychostick. I also have Metallica, System of a down, and a few other heavy hitters to get me amped for the game.

Mort makes up "facts" once again
ricojes replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Lack of sustained pass rush from front four will hurt against a "dynamic" offense, especially with McGee out. Hopefully they can generate some pressure and force Warner into bad decisions. The Cards are a very good offense. The Bills catch a break with Boldin out, but they still are dangerous. GO BILLS!!! -
Mort makes up "facts" once again
ricojes replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The coaches have to be concerned about the D, especially since McGee could miss up to a month. Putting Crowell on IR really hurts the LB depth as well. So, I don't see anything wrong with Mort's comments. -
Cooley is an upgrade over Lee. Doesn't look like Rogers looks to the TE that much. Favre currently is an upgrade over Palmer, but Palmer is too good to struggle all year. Losing Wayne is going to hurt though. Other than Jennings, your WR's are a little weak. Too early to tell if the trade will pay dividends. But if Palmer continues to struggle, you made the right move.

Any official word on Boldin's status for Sunday???
ricojes replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Signed, the Jets front office... I don't buy it. If the defender wasn't leading with his helmet, maybe he could have seen that Boldin was "accelerated downward". But he couldn't see him because he was looking at the turf, which is what happens when you lead with your helmet. You lead with the helmet you get fined, it's pretty cut and dry. -
I have multiple personalities, take your pick....

The Bills are putting themselves in a bad position
ricojes replied to ieatcrayonz's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Very true. Let's assume the Bills go 11-5 and do not win the division, and they are tied with the Titans at 11-5 who did not win their division. Assuming the Bills beat the Cards, they would have 5 losses and potentially only one against the NFC. The Titans could potentially have 3 losses against the NFC. Assuming they lose more than 1 against the NFC, they would have a better AFC record and win the tie breaker. See it's "crystal" clear, now back to my meth.... -

With Boldin out and S Jackson on a bye, I am hurting for a flex play. May options are: F Taylor - playing the Steelers, not a good match up IMO D Sproles - just doesn't get the touches with a healthy LT, but he's an exciting player V Jackson - Looks like he may be my best option going against Miami FA pickup possibilities: J Galloway - vs Denver Ricky Williams - vs SD

No, but you owe everyone on this board an apology from bringing it up.....

You know, my wife asked what was being talked about at TBD with the Bills being 4-0. She assumed it would all be positive and enthusiastic as it's been a long long time since the Bills were 4-0. And I said I wasn't sure if I liked the board more when the Bills are 0-4 or 1-3 or when the Bills are 4-0. Just because of these types of threads or the "we won but" posts. Of course the Bills have to run the ball better, but they are 4-0 and have plenty of time to improve it. It's a bottom line business and the bottom line is that the Bills are 4-0. 4 and freakin O....How sweet is that....GO BILLS!!!!

I really think the line will get better. This line was at an extreme disadvantage in that it was shuffled around all training camp and pre-season with the JP hold out. Our best rushing game was probably week 1 without JP. Does that mean that the Bills are better off without JP? Of course not, but JP's hold out really set this line back a few weeks. I think JP will continue to improve from game to game and I really believe that this is a very good line that will be ready to run in cold weather. Unfortunately this week could be another rough rushing day, but that may be because the Cards secondary is weak and this Bills pass more...GO BILLS!!!

ESPN: Corey McIntyre in, Darian Barnes out at FB
ricojes replied to Lori's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly, not really a big deal. Football wise, he will not be missed. Personality wise, he may be missed as it seemed like he was well liked. But football players are used to the business side of the sport and it shouldn't be an issue. GO BILLS!! -
I think all but Simms had the Bills in the top 5. I think Simms has some serious man love for Cassel and had the patsie's at #5...

[closed]When are you going to get it????????????
ricojes replied to Mooshocker's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
much better... -
I agree 100%. It's great that we get 2 games, the Bills ratings always dominate anyway. The only thing needed to drive more local football fans to follow the Bills is winning....

Sweet. I saw the Watchmen many years ago at the Tralf, great show. Glad to hear they are getting back together, I can see them playing a show at the square or Art Park next year. Very cool, wish I could go...

E. James - 20 something touches a game and not a single goal line carry F. Taylor - Hand injury, not sure how serious. I like him a lot against Houston if healthy D. Sproles - not enough touches with LT in the lineup 1 pt for every 15 yards rushing and receiving 6 pts for TD .5 per reception what do you think?

I have met him a few times, he's a great guy. Hope he finds the film! Probably his best game ever, at least stat wise, and no video of it. That's crazy....
