  1. Yeah, I saw/heard that over the weekend. Sounds like a good idea, but they should include the neighbors house as well, it sustained major structural damage and was red tagged this week.
  2. I would think they'd have to explain the plane's colliding as more than just an accident and especially once the CIP device was out of play and they knew he was leaving the country, it would make sense to post his picture. Since it's only been about 6 or so hours, I guess the papers wouldn't be an option. They could do it a way which would not cause a public scare. But like I said before, you need to lose your sense of reality, which really is the only way to truly enjoy this show. I just found him walking through the city streets, of Washington no less, and sitting down in a busy lobby a bit comical is all.....
  3. Yep, pretty obvious, there's 100% chance her kid is kidnapped. There would be no reason to introduce him in the show if not. One thing that really gets me and I know I have to check my sense of reality at the door when watching, but wouldn't Dubaku's face be plastered all of the TV and newspapers? I would think a terrorist on US land would have more publicity and here he is strolling down the streets like he's nobody...
  4. I was at the game last night. It was definitely exciting, 10 goals and 70 shots worth. The Sabres came out flying in the first and then SJ clamped down on D. Even though it was a 1 goal deficit in the third, it felt like 3. SJ had taken a loud early crowd completely out of the game. But then the place just erupted with 3.9 to go (even though many had left... ). Good win for the Sabres and the community. The pre-game moment of silence was amazing, you could hear pin a drop it was so quiet, very respectful and obviously very sad... I think more than anything the Sabres defense was exposed by a big, fast, and very talented SJ team. Lydman was out muscled several times, Butler was shaky at best, and Sekera was struggling, but it was his first game back from an injury. IMO the Sabres need to acquire a big defensemen before the trade deadline to be legitimate playoff contenders and win a physical 6 or 7 game series...
  5. One of the Witnesses mentioned that it was a one story brick house and I can see it to the right of the white and green house on the map. I heard this last night on the local news, I cannot confirm that report. Amazing only one house was hit, must have been a nose dive. I cannot imagine the horror, my prayers go out to all affected in this tragedy...
  6. They definitely have a chance to win the MAC tourney. But I have to agree with PTR, if UB finishes second, they do not get an at large bid. Their only significant non-conference win was against Temple, if they could have pulled out the UConn game, it may have been a different story. But all other non-conference wins were against struggling teams like, Pepperdine, Colorado, Colorado State, Florida International, and UNC Ashville. The one thing in their favor is that they are playing in a strong division, which should bump up their RPI. You never know with the NCAA tourney, but I wouldn't expect an at large bid...
  7. A tale of 2 divisions. As well as UB is playing, they have some company. Could come down to the last game of the year, that would be fun. I will be at the Bowling Green game next week...GO BULLS!!!! 8. Funny you should mention golf. My father-in-law gave me an issue of Golf magazine this past weekend and it was so depressing. I bought a new 3 Wood in September and haven't used it yet!! 2 years ago, I golfed on a beautiful December day. Not a chance of that this year though! You take the good with the bad. I still love this area, but myself, as well as my wife, are fortunate enough to have well paying jobs. Although there are a lot of jobs out there, you just have to dig a bit. The high unemployment issues in Buffalo is mostly because there aren't many jobs available for unqualified individuals. But there are some high paying jobs for educated individuals. Hopefully the Casino and Bass Pro will help some of those numbers.
  9. Weather and declining population were the main reasons that Buffalo is #8. It's a weird formula, which even factors in sports teams, so maybe not too surprising Buffalo made the list. Last year NYC and LA were in the top 10. I'm not saying Buffalo is a desirable place to live, but I do think the list is bunch of crap...
  10. Time to start taking notice!!! From the Buffalo News: Gill noted that middle linebacker Matt Jones from Rochester — the only three-star recruit rated by rivals.com — and Miami's Rick Perez — one of the top 15 centers in the country — could have an immediate impact as well.
  11. Very nice list, even though rivals ranked them 118th in this years class. It's nice to have an interest in recruiting after all these years, here is the site in which I have been following the recruits...

  13. Being a dog lover, that sure brought a tear to my eye. I'm looking at my 2 best friends now and dread the day it will come to that awful decision. I guess it's like anything in life, appreciate what you have today as you never know if you will have it tomorrow. I recently read Rick Pitino's book and he references the parable of the precious present, words to live by IMHO....
  14. Ok, sorry, just sounded weird when I read it. Speaking of money though, does anyone think pet insurance is worth the money? I heard it's usually about $200-300 dollars a year with a deductible. I have Dachshunds and I always fear for their backs. I don't want to change the subject, but was just curious if anyone has pet insurance...
  15. Spending more than you can afford to keep your pet alive is being selfish? Sorry, but I don't understand that statement...
  16. The question is, who is the waitresses sister? They really haven't shown any black women in prominent positions to this point. He is obviously with her to get to her family, and they mentioned her sister not liking him, so I am assuming that's the target. I don't see him turning, but I don't think he's going to go out of his way to help them any time soon. He will be back, that's for sure....
  17. Not necessarily. I don't think he's come to any decision at all. Asking a question, isn't admitting you've made a decision. But that being said, only you and your family can truly make the ultimate decision. I may be selfish, but I try to give my pets as much time as needed. But if they continue to digress and are in pain, the decision becomes clearer. Burden or not, they are a part of the family.
  18. Thought it was the 97 rock hottest Bills fan contest at first....

  20. There really wasn't much blood to begin with. But I would assume that he would have planted some blood on him or something after he put the noose around the first mans head. It's tough to speculate what would have happened, since he fought back.
  21. Hey Mike....Is Christie's still around?
  22. I have said this numerous times, truer words have never been spoken!!
