  1. No surprises at all last night, and actually no real surprises this whole season. At least Matt now has the distinction of being the only Idol voted off twice. He was good, but needs some coaching. At this point, I think anyone can win it. Although I would be surprised if Allison does, she just isn't very likeable. Adam is getting old, his shrieks during every single song is tiresome now. I have said it before, Adam is not a "he can sing the phone book" kind of guy. He needs to be very careful in his song selection. Danny and Kris or Danny and Adam will most likely be the final 2. Danny was really good this past week. Is next week when the judges pick the songs? Or is that for the final 3? I would like to hear Danny due a southern rock type a song...
  2. Yes, but no more mock drafts or the ever increasing "trading up" posts.....
  3. From the title, I thought it was a link to TBD. But we've got to be well over 340 by now...
  4. Not a bad idea. could check out the Ralph and if that's lame head to the Big Tree....
  5. I printed mine out, but don't think I am going to go that route...
  6. Yeah, I usually have people over my house. But I thought I'd change it up a bit this year...
  7. Where's the best place to watch the draft in the Buffalo area? I thought about going to the field house, but think I am going to pass on that. I have narrowed my choices down to the Amherst area for the most part: Quaker Steak and Lube -- Lots of TV's and good wings... Bar Louie -- haven't been there yet, but have been meaning to check it out... Buffalo Road House -- They sponsor my softball team, so that may be an option... Amherst Ale House -- very close to my house, always a plus... Buffalo Wild Wings -- A great venue for any sporting event... The Red Dragons house -- via Kipers Hair invite Probably will be a last minute decision. Where's everyone else going?
  8. Being a former investment executive and owning a consulting and financial services firm, he probably could fill the entire time with talk of the economy. But how much fun would that be? I'd rather talk sports. Maybe he knows something more to the rumor of Toronto trying to get another NHL team (one that will try to win), or the Bills playing in Toronto, or the NFL in Canada in general. Also I read that he lost a son to depression and suicide, so be careful when discussing family. Now I read that on wikidepea, so take it for what it's worth, but I wouldn't take the chance. Post afterwards though, it would be interesting to read.... Ok, I did verify from other sources that his son did commit suicide.
  9. Linky blocked at work... What were the details of the trade?
  10. I was hoping this might be a collage of dib's avatars....
  11. Its Almost here! I am looking forward to it as well....The end of freaking mock drafts for another 9 months!!!
  12. Who will be the third string RB for the first 3 games? maybe Hall? I guess it really doesn't matter, after ML suspension, it's to the practice squad (whoever it is)...
  13. Yeah they win the season series against Boston (even though the last game was a throw away for Boston), the top team in the East. And they beat SJ, the top team in the West. Went to that one, what a wild and entertaining game. But they can't beat the bottom teams in the East, great job Sabres....
  14. Ok, so the question "Do you oppose gay marriage", get's 4 pages of heated debate.. Now let's debate Miss NC's (a former Panther Cheerleader btw) question, "Should taxpayers money be used to bail out foundering businesses?"... I say No... What a crock!
  15. She gave her opinion on a very hot topic and I'll give her credit for standing up for her beliefs. Oh and by the way legalizing gay marriage was also denied in California, the state she was representing. The biggest joke of them all was the extreme differences in the 2 questions. Miss California gets a highly debatable topic. Which she could have lied about, and instead she gets criticized and booed for stating her feelings on the topic. Miss Carolina gets "Do you think the tax payers should pay for the bail out", she says no and gets a standing ovation. Yeah, that's really fair...
  16. Maybe, I don't see him making much of a difference on play ran that well. But I can meet you half way, and Doc eluded to a bit in his post game quote: "I actually thought Ray was going to be wide open," Rivers said. "And when he got it, Noah came out of nowhere - that was a hell of a recovery by him." Bottom line is that is was well designed and well executed...
  17. The play was perfectly designed and executed by the Celtics. They gave the ball to Rondo on the top corner, so the Bulls had to respect the drive. They set a pick for Pierce and he curled right under Allen and into the paint. Then they set a pick for Allen who curled up to the top of the key. It was surprising that Noah didn't jump on the Pierce move and I thought he made and excellent play to get in Allen's face. Allen just made a great shot.
  18. Well if you plan of sticking around here, I would suggest you get used to them...
  19. I was only talking about this series. I haven't ruled out Garnett's return either, but not any time soon.
  20. I believe he is only referring to DJ getting fired as the glass half full, maybe "a silver lining" would have been a better title though....
