  1. So, I have my 20 year Dunkirk HS reunion the weekend of July 17th. And I just found out that a former classmate is now the owner of BJ's in downtown Fredonia. What a trip, I didn't even know it was still open! If any TBD'ers are in the area stop by on Friday night for a few cold ones, should be a good time!!! Is the topic too vague?
  2. Plus I believe he already owns 4 houses or something in various locations, so he's probably not looking for another.
  3. I agree with you, but that's why we should just ignore those posts and let them have their say, no matter how wrong they are. They get off on the responses and are never ever wrong. Even throwing facts into the mix will still not get them to admit they were wrong. Those are the types we hope never move back to Buffalo, because all they would do is B word.
  4. Don't go there, I got ripped a new one for suggesting that. The whole thing is just ridiculous IMO. Who the heck cares where he lives or what the heck he tweets? It does make for better TV, who wants to watch him get a house with no issues. Where's the drama?
  5. Not even that, it's more of if you don't mind the cold. I don't do any of those activities and I love the area. The only thing that would drive me out of here is the taxes and unfortunately with Patterson taxing absolutely everything possibe, I have been thinking about it more than ever...
  6. I agree 100%. I don't think anyone stated the weather is better than Florida. Just not as bad as the overall countries perception of it. I visit family in Tampa regularly and I could never live in Florida. I can handle the cold, but can't stand the heat and humidity. I pretty much do indoor activities December-February here, and it would be indoor activities July-September in Florida. But that's just me, I am miserable when hot. As someone stated earlier to each his own...
  7. I remember hearing about it, but have never been to his bar. here are a couple links: Article about the book and Gadawski from 2006 Brief write up with a picture.
  8. The main difference is last year at this time we weren't sure if M Lynch would be suspended for his off field incident, whereas this year we know he will be for his latest incident. Other than that, it was business as usual...
  9. Just doing a little research on Primetime and found the following: From SI columnist Jeff Pearlman. here's a bit from the article: I just found it interesting and don't intend to bash the guy, because he was a great athlete. I was a the Bills game when he took a kick-off back and started to high step into the end zone from about the 15 yard line, he was definitely a cocky SOB. Luckily the Bills were up something like 28-0 at the time, still was a cool thing to see...
  10. Wow, 10 years already. I grew up in Dunkirk, so I attended Fredonia frequenty, but haven't made it up to SJF. I don't think it will be an issue extending the deal, I think both parties are very pleased with the past 9 years...
  11. The best all round athlete would probably be Warren Sapp. For a fat @$$, that man could play. Some of the best all around athletes IMO would be: Michael Jordan - Obviously one of the best NBA players to ever play the game. So he didn't put up the best numbers in minor league baseball (.202 with 51 RBI and 30 stolen bases in 127 games), but still impressive since he was in his 30's when joining the team. He is also a very good golfer. Bo Jackson - What a sad day when he got hurt! Awesome athlete, IIRC he made the NFL pro-bowl and MLB all-star teams. That's an incredible accomplishment. Dave Winfield - the only player ever to be drafted by 3 different professional sport leagues. I have also heard stories of Jim Thorpe and Jim Brown, but that was before my time.
  12. Excellent post, thanks for playing along... I get it...It's like a not funny version of an OJ joke, good one...
  13. Yeah, I think most here know that whomever plays in the HOF game plays 5 pre-season games. I think it may be good for the bubble players, as it will give them more time to impress. But I don't know how much it will do for the rest of the team. The O line definitely could use the extra work, and they may get a few more reps in games 2,3 & 4 than usual. But pre-season game plans are so vanilla, teams just want to avoid injuries more than anything...
  14. I'm sure it wasn't REALLY funny to Corey. I can't even imagine what he's been going through since the charges were filed. And I'm sure he'll still get some smack talk during the season even though he's been cleared. The scary part is, with the guilty until proven innocent court system, that this could happen to anyone. Any women here live near Brady?
  15. I believe they both were declared busts in a previous thread...
  16. posting that Adam Lambert admits he's gay is gay, this topic.....not so much.
  17. Titles a little misleading. Maybe add a question mark or preface with rumor or something. But if true, I would imagine it would have leaked in the media by now. Too small of a town to keep that a secret, at least let's hope so...
  18. Ironic that ranking 18 out 32 would translate into the same win percentage as 7-9 (.437)...
  19. Yes, after I admitted I was wrong to edit his post he attacks me. So, I don't know what else I can say. If it's bothering him that much and he wants a formal apology, section 119, row 1 is the place to find me 7 Sundays in the fall. Until then, just ignore him and move on... I will not edit other posts... I will not edit other posts... I will not edit other posts... I will not edit other posts... I will not edit other posts... I will not edit other posts... 20. There is something to the whole "black cloud" attitude. In the Cleveland v Orlando series, LeBron made a comment the sums it up perfectly. IIRC, it was after Lewis his a 3 pointer to take the lead with 1 second left in the game. He said he looked in the stands and everyone had the "here we go again" look on their faces. Of course the Cavs go onto win that game, but I know exactly what he meant by that. I can't tell you how many times I hear "It's Buffalo", relating to the Bills or Sabres misfortunes. It's almost expected that a Buffalo sports team will fail, maybe it eases the pain for some. I for one am the eternal optimist and usually end up getting crushed, maybe I should just say "It's Buffalo" and sleep better at night. I don't know...
  21. At least I don't resort to childish name calling, welcome to ignore... rj
  22. While reading a history book this past weekend, I was surprised to find the Kunta Kinte had a sister who was a prostitute. Her name was Renta Kunt...
