  1. I think that's common in the pre-season though, coaches try different players at different coverage positions and mistakes happen. I think the ST's will be the bright spot of the Bills again, but I guess that's not really going out on a limb...
  2. I just read his predictions in the Sporting News digital edition, he has the Bills at 6-10. Here's the link, but you have to have a subscription. Also on the previous page, they have the playoff predictions from a bunch of reporters. Clifton Brown, yeah that's right THE Clifton Brown, has the Bills losing to the Colts in the first round of the playoffs...Link
  3. Along those lines, I have now vowed to sell me tickets when the Bills have been officially eliminated from playoff contention. (insert your "so you're selling your tickets to the opener" jokes here.) I sat through 3 quarters of the Giants game last year in sh-- weather and said WTF am I doing here! So, I sold my NE tickets the next week. So, anyone interested in late season games (should the Bills not be in contention ), let me know. Front row enzone seats...
  4. Um, I wrote this is the worse feeling I have had regarding the Bills in many years, so..... Plus being optimitic was and 8-8 prediction that past couple years...
  5. Not a shot at you per say, but aimed at those that whine and B word all the time about fire him, cut him, yada, yada, yada. It just doesn't do any good to get all worked up and gets old and annoying. And yes I have been bashing my head in on too many fall Sundays being a season ticket holder for many years. But since I've gotten a little older and a wee bit wiser, I have come to realize that win or lose, I still usually have to go to work the next day, so I try not to let it affect me as much as it used to. And when I do get to work and read TSW, I don't want to deal with whiny B word's. I am an optimist when it comes to the Bills and this is the worse feeling I have had about them in many years, I just don't start 30 threads on the same topic and bash others that disagree with me...
  6. I said I have no faith in the coaching staff, I just don't come across as a whiner like most on this board...
  7. I'm pretty set everywhere else except for my #2 WR. Lee Evens and the unknown TO affect on his numbers or Donald Driver in a high octane GB offense. I think Driver has a better chance at scoring a TD, so am I just thinking with my heart? Help me sort this one out...
  8. Tough call there, but I might go with Morgan. SF play Arizona and that's usually a shoot out. My second choice would most likely be Jackson.
  9. It's a bit ridiculous for a player who never started a game in the NFL to renogiate his contract and hold out for more money, isn't it? What if every backup QB in the league did this when the starter went down? I will say that if Bell has a solid season and plays well, he will be in a perfect position to make a ton of money.
  10. Well said. It's mostly the same bashers every year, just take note of the names. Although a few more than usual have been drawn to the dark side this year. I am usually the eternal optimist as well, but I am concerned about the year. I actually think they are slightly better team than last year, but is slightly better enough? The schedule on paper is tougher and I have no confidence in the coaching staff (although I do like the AVP move, but the timing sucked), so for those reasons I am a more than a bit worried....GO BILLS!!!
  11. Those are pretty lame, can you post some of the funny of LOLs from the Patsie fans? The thought of trolling their site repulses me...
  12. hey, that reminds me of how Kelly and Thurmal used to kill oponents with that little shotgun shuffle pass...Oh, those were good times....
  13. You do realize that Schonert was an OC with no previous experience, seemed fairly smart, and was a back-up QB on 2 SB team, backing up Ken Anderson and Boomer Esiason. I am hoping for more from AVP as OC, but to make a comparison at this point and time is impossible...
  14. I think it's just sour grapes, would you have anything good to say about your boss after getting canned?
  15. Damn, Dman, Damn....Are you still taking the points after sobering up? I haven't reviewed all the pages in this thread. If so, I hope your Pro picks are better than your college picks...GO BILLS!!!
  16. I think it makes sense to simplify if there were too many mistakes being made. It makes sense if the WR's are running wrong routes, O Line not getting the blocking schemes correct, or the offense just not being on the same page. What doesn't make sense is the timing. This isn't anything new, Turk did not change over night. If it was too complicated and Turk wasn't willing to budge then get rid of him, but do it in the off-season! I like AVP as OC, but he is stuck with Turk's formations and his hands are tied to a certain extent. Not saying it's impossible to overcome, but he could take a whipping in the media for an offense that isn't truly his...
  17. There was one second on the clock when the ball hit the ground, but the refs blew the whistle with no time on the clock. But really it was poor clock management by FSU that cost them, at least, another down. Even with 5 seconds left you take a couple steps back and try a quick pass. Then on the last play you can afford to roll out. By rolling out on with 5 seconds left, although it was a nice play call, FSU pretty much guaranteed it was the last play of the game.
  18. Lol, I was thinking the same thing. He didn't like the Bulls, liked WM, and IIRC thought Syracuse was going to get mauled. Dude must have dropped some serious coin this past weekend. I like Gordio, but I think I'll take the opposite of his picks from now on.
  19. Starting off with the heart stoppers already! Good game for the Bulls. The offense moved the ball really well at times and then stalled, but I think that's something they can work out. The defense gave up some yards, but that was a very good offense. So I think they should be alright. ZM could be very good with some experience. I am looking forward to the home opener...GO BULLS!!!
  20. Now that's a good way to end a Friday at work. That was the biggest laugh out loud moment of the day, well done!!
  21. All this means is the *Patsie's* will create some bogus temp coaching job for Schonert next week. At least AVP's wife is hot! But seriously, I heard grumblings of Shonert not listening to input from other coaches and also not giving Trent much of a say in anything. If that's the case, then it's a good move to get him out. But why did it take so long? It's not like all this started last week...
  22. I am not saying that I don't agree with you, I am just saying how it's going to be as far as actual plays. Will AVP call more runs than passes, who knows? I would love to see the Bills establish a better run attack, but it goes hand in hand with being able to pass and spread the defense.
